Others have recounted the plot of this story so I won't. The author's writing was wonderful! While this story had the usual "fall in love instantly" aspect that most romance books do, it was a truly believable love between Michael and Juliana. The author did a great job at showing the struggles that both characters had while ending their old relationships. I highly recommend.

SPOILER WARNING! Okay, here’s the thing… I love Marie Force’s writing, and tend to fall in love with her characters. They are well developed with small details about their family relationships and day-to-day lives that give them dimension and likeability. This book is no exception--- maybe. I love Michael, who realizes his mistake and moves on (maybe a little too quickly?) to fall hard and deep for Juliana. But, oh, Juliana!! Ugh! My disconnect happened early on. Juliana is devastated when her boyfriend of ten years tells her he is thinking about other women. He’s not acting on those thoughts, but thinking… Hurt by his “betrayal” Juliana decides they will take a three month break from their relationship so he can work it out. During that time, he immediately realizes his mistake. She, however, immediately goes to bed with Michael. What?? That’s more than thinking about it, dear. I did finish the book, and I did like the final resolution… Finally.

A facile but engrossing read. This is the first time I've read this author but I predict it won't be the last. The writer cleverly draws the reader into the story. I couldn't put it down. Lucky for me it was a quick read and a thoroughly enjoyable 2 hours.

With every Marie Force book, she becomes my favorite author all over again. This book only reinforces that belief. Romantic, sexy, but with a terrific plot and unique characters that leave you wanting more.

Thanks to the Kindle book section, I got this book for free, but I'd have happily paid full price for it. The characters are well-written and likeable, the storyline entertaining and credible, just the happily-ever-after ending I crave. Got me through the worst Midwest blizzard in recent years. I'll be looking for more books by Marie Force!

I just finished reading "Love at First Flight" on my Kindle. What a wonderful read. I couldn't put this one down until I finished the last page. Lots of twists and turns in this story which kept my interest to the very end.

I am usually pretty generous with my reviews if the book was decent, I rate it a 4, 5's are for exceptional story. This one would have been a 4 easily but I am being generous with a 3.
** SPOILER ALERT **
There are two things I can't stand - a wishy washy woman and twisted ending. This one had both. Juliana can't decide between two men - a good guy and her 10 year steady who should be put out to pasture - for a year and a half she tries to make up her MIND!!!!- Just when you think she has made up her mind she changes it again. I got so frustrated with this story that I closed my computer and was half determined to not finish it. Then I convinced myself the author couldn't possibly let it end that way so I opened it, skimmed to the final pages just to make sure. I couldn't go back and read each page like I normally love to do.
If you don't mind wishy washy women and twisted endings - this book is for you. Otherwise give it a skip.

Marie Force does a fantastic job at describing her characters and narrating her story.
The story evolves around Michael who is a prosecutor in Baltimore and Juliana who is a hair stylist. These two strangers meet at the airport waiting for delayed flight to Florida. Each of them have their respective love interests and are doing the long distance relationship thing. Somehow they cannot seem to avoid the attraction they feel for one another.
After a disastrous weekend in Florida with their significant others, they both return to Baltimore to face different problems. Michael has a huge trial coming up and Juliana has to battle living on her own after 10 years with Jeremy, her highshcool sweetheart. Michael and Julianna's lives become complicated when they find themselves involved with each other unexpectedly.
Beautiful and touching true love story. The suspense was just a plus! There were a few heart warming parts in the book, that made me teary... :) Many people might not be happy with the overall concept of the book, two people leaving committed relationships that later find true love with someone else. Some people immediately shut down and don't see beyond this. Julianna was in a 10 year relationship and her boyfriend never proposed until after he felt he was losing her and after he said he wanted to date other people. Michael's relationship was not perfect either, his fiancee left him and moved to Florida and was hoping that he would follow. She was being selfish and never discussed her plans with him. Seemed to me that they were not right for each other and made me root for the new couple. Definitely looking forward to reading more from Ms. Force. Highly recommend this book

Love at First Flight literally starts with love at first sight as Micheal, a Baltimore prosecutor, and Juliana, a hairstylist, who discover they are on the same flight to Florida and thats not all they have in common. Micheal is heading to see his fiance who always gets what she wants, while Juliana is going to see her boyfriend of 10 years who just won't give her the commitment of marriage she secretly wants. This book is full of romance and a little bit of drama(but of course!). You will not want to put it down!

Warning
Spoilers....
The only reason I'm giving this book 4 stars instead is 3 is Michael. He was an amazing. Sweet, kind, loving, patient romantic and completely in love with the h.
I read other reviews of this book with people who had problems with Juliana. Usually the issues don't bother me and I get the book anyway and find that I enjoyed.
In this case though they were right. Juliana bothered me. Not for the whole book but there were moments that just made me feel like this wasn't really a romance. Never once when she told Michael that she loved him did I actually believe her. That was a problem for me. I truly believe he deserved better than her.
In most books you can justify certain actions the H or h might do. In this book I found myself just not able to do that.
Maybe if the ending was different I could have given this book a better review. Maybe I would have liked Juliana more. Maybe even related to her but the ending was a huge letdown and if you want to know why, keep reading......
Spoiler......
After telling Michael she loves him and wants to be with him forever and he shouldn't worry about her seeing her ex again
SHE ACCEPTS HIS BULLCRAP PROPOSAL BECAUSE HE PAYED OFF HER MOTHERS MORTGAGE!!!
And there goes all the love she felt for Michael
Are you kidding me????
AND she tells him she loves him. And plans a quick wedding. Oh and she actually tells Michael face to face that she didn't choose him. Very big of her. I'm actually angry at her at this point and cant wait for the stupid ex to rip her heart out again.
And when it does she doesn't go back to Michael right away, even though he tells her to. That no matter what happens and how long it takes he'll still be waiting for her. She waits A YEAR. That's right an entire year to find herself.
Then you get the happily ever after that she didn't deserve, because he waited for her and didn't even make her grovel a little bit for what she put him through.
The H for me definitely add the extra star. Otherwise it just would have been a 3 star book.

I liked the story, both the romance and the suspense, but I didn't like that the main characters lacked morals. If they loved their partners so much, why did they cheat? It's far more honorable to break things off first before starting a new relationship. Juliana was the worst, basically having an affair while supposedly working things out with her long-time love. Then she and Michael act holier-than-thou about perceived slights by their partners. Juliana acts like because Jeremy had doubts, that gave her license to do whatever she wanted.
There's nothing wrong with having doubts and questioning a long-term relationship, Juliana's reaction was quite immature. Jeremy is really the only one who reacted to events in a normal manner. Who wouldn't be upset at finding out his fiance had a torrid affair during their separation - the day before their wedding? He never cheated either and treated Juliana like gold when he came back.
Michael was basically blaming his fiance and her father for his lack of strength in deciding his own career. His over-emotional response to each event is also hard to take from a supposedly mature prosecutor. I know men these days are supposed to be in touch with their feelings, but personally, there's nothing attractive about a man who cries all the time.
I just didn't like these people.
The formatting and editing were fine, which just a few errors.

Some things were just a little too hard to believe...for example, what woman would move in with a man she just met on an airplane? The hitman gave her time to go to the bathroom, Really? Despite that, I did basically enjoy the story and recommend it to others. This was the first book I read by this author, and would read her again.

I adored this book. It made me laugh, cry, smile, and everything in between! I'm a stickler for happy endings and although I thought it was never going to happen, I wasn't disappointed. I will be reading more from this author. Do not pass this book up!
