Read this book on the suggestion of a friend. So glad I did. It was an excellent read. Tough to put down with lots of twists and turns along the way. My first book by Marie Force, but definitely not my last!

This was an excellent Romantic mystery, with the perfect balance of both elements to keep the reader entranced. The unexpected "surprises" made it even better. Can't wait to read more of Marie's books!

Brian, his girlfriend Carly, his younger brother Sam and other youngsters from a small town in the U.S. are a tightly knitted clique. They do nearly everything together. Even dying. A tragic accident kills all the youngsters, except Brian and Carly. As only survivors and eyewitnesses to the tragic accident, each of them tries to cope with the tragic blow of fate as good as they can. However, this seems not to be enough since their devoted relationship can't cope with the stress and they break up. Brian leaves his hometown and swears to never return.
After fifteen years, Brian who is meanwhile a successful prosecutor, is summoned by his mother to return home and support her with his father's fragile health. After all these years he meets Carly again. Can they pick up their relationship where they left fifteen years ago?
An interesting book with an attractive plot. I was immediately throw into the action and the inconceivable suffering the accident has caused to the families of the victims as well as the two main characters. The emotions, insecurities and the suffering were so vividly and sensitively described that I deeply suffered with all the people involved in this tragic blow of fate. This part of the plot deservers definitely five starts.
Towards the middle of the book I thought there was a slight downward spiral in the plot, which must also have been perceived by the author. To pep this slope Force introduces the "Zoe character", which I consider to be a very poor movement. Especially because this element doesn't really constitute a twist in the plot but is more like a blow out of the blue, which was completely unnecessary and completely exaggerated.
The main characters were likeable, especially Brian. Carly was a little bit less realistic.
Apart from above, a very recommendable read.

I wasn't expecting both mystery and suspense in this book. I was looking for a light romance read. I couldn't put this book down. It was heart pounding at times. Lots of twists and turns you won't expect.

First of all, I truly enjoy reading Marie Force books. I love the New England setting and the characters are all interesting. The Wreck was a good read with a bit of suspense. I enjoyed from the beginning to the end.

I really enjoyed this book. I was looking for something to compare with J D Robb when I discovered Marie Force. Well done from beginning to end leading to the bad guy but never giving him away. The love scenes were well done and believable, not to much not to little.

Marie Force did a wonderful job with this book. I would have never guessed any of the outcomes. I had thought that this book was not going to be a good one...but Marie Force has proved me wrong. This book is amazing just like all her other books! It's so exhilarating that I couldn't put the book down and when I did, all I can think about is what is gonna happen next. Can't wait to read more books by Marie Force!!!!
