This book is the best Diane Chamberlain novel I have ever read. I could not put it down and although I worked out early on in the book what had caused Noelle to kill herself I still thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I thought the characters of Tara and Emerson were really convincing. I highly recommend this book.

A bit of mystery , and a lot about friendships. I liked the book and would recommend it. The baby switch was far fetched but made a good story. Surprise ending, but I suspected what really happened . Really different.

I have recently been reading through the totally entertaining library of Diane Chamberlains books and am enjoying every read! This selection in particular has been quite wonderful. Her writing is full of characters with deep histories and creative twists of plot that you get really involved in caring what will happen to these people. Love it!
A suspense horror mystery (World's Scariest Places Book 2) :: Stories from the World of Mercy Thompson (A Mercy Thompson Novel) :: Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson: Homecoming :: Murder of Crows (The Twenty-Sided Sorceress Book 2) :: Three Junes

I'm adding Diane Chamberlain to my list of favorite authors. This book was one of the best I've read so far on my new Kindle. It kept me interested all the way through - thoroughly enjoyable, and highly recommended.

Knowing that this book was a mystery/thriller, it still got me at every turn! The amount of detail and back work behind this story is astounding. This was a great read! I couldn't put it down until I knew the ending!

I enjoyed the Midwife's Confession once I got into the book but I was a bit confused for about 50 pages until I got the characters straightened out. The mystery of whose baby was switched and the surprise ending were good and lived up to my expectations of Diane Chamberlain as a writer.

As usual, Diane Chamberlain weaves an intricate set of relationships that always leave you guessing. There are many possible answers to the mystery, and the ending is not what is expected. Fun to read.

I just thought this book was well written. For me, it was one of those books that was always on my mind and I looked forward to a few stolen moments when I could read another chapter or two. It has that subtle hint of mystery to it that makes you think you've figured it all out but then it takes another turn. Good read ....

Love Diane's books always! This was a spectacular blend of suspense and real life. Finished in a short time as I could not put it down. Amazing how the characters learned to live with such a nightmarish event.

What a wonderful story with such a bittersweet end! The chances of meeting a sibling who has no knowledge she has a sister is very slim but possible. The fact that the midwife (and sister) had kept a secret about what happened soon after the birth of her niece was very compelling. The book held my interest from beginning to end and I actually wanted to read more!

The Midwife's Confession leaves you hanging on every word for the last couple of chapters. You will not put it down. Chamberlain does a great job leading you down one road and then turning it all around and proving your theory wrong. The way she captures the difficult relationship between teen age daughter and mother is incredible and you will be able to relate right away. A must read I would make this your next to read especially if you a fan of Chamberlain.

I am always guessing ahead, thinking about every possibility, of who or what the outcomes and circumstances might be. Needless to say, I'm rarely surprised. While some of my predictions were correct, the end DID surprise me!
I HIGHLY recommend this book!
