Great read, take with a grain of salt....."any guru who says they know the truth, actually does not. The answer to the great mystery cannot be given, only received" stay open to the Divine and your question will be answered in a way only you can understand.

I just finished Jitterbug Perfume and I love it. Tom mixes the highbrow with the lowbrow. He is funny, philosophical, and counter-cultural. Right up my alley, I highly recommend this book! (Especially if you enjoy Christopher Moore)

Love Tom Robbins. Just happened onto this novel and it was one of his harder novels to keep up with. Liked the "back story", actually really liked the story period, but just took a bit longer to collect all the characters. But, it's Tom Robbins.

Delightful. This is a funny, clever story. Tom Robbins is a wonderful writer with a quirky voice. Fanciful, fantastic and totally original. I would call it the literary equivalent of the most delicious chocolate. I found it a good cure for the early winter doldrums.

Liked it, interesting but unusual story, quirky characters, deep thoughts, good prose...all very typical Tom Robbins style. This is my second T.R. book, and I liked the other better (Skinny Legs and All)...but I'm having trouble finding any fiction that I like any more, so I'll probably read a few more of his books.

Fantastic imagery, fantastic story. Fight your way through the first few chapters where it seems to jump from story to story with no clear connection and you'll soon lose yourself in this work from Tom Robbins.

I bought this book because one of my favourite stores in New Orleans, Hove Parfumes, was apparently, the inspiration. It was a painful read, so slow and at times the author would just banter on and on. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people that must finish a book once they start it. Toward the end, I was just skimming through and then it ended...very predictably.
