Excellent treatise on war. The old adage holds true every time--"follow the money"....Unfortunately our young men and women are sacrificed on the alter of war, money, greed. When will we awaken???? P.S. Hart Miller

I’ve heard people mention this book many times over the years. The great General puts war for profit and propaganda in concise perspective. This should be required reading in High School nationwide!

The information in this book has been known for quite some time. Yet, this book is written by a highly distinguished Marine officer which brings a new perspective. This book should be mandatory in every US history class.

It is a booklet therefore a speed read. General Butler generally gets it right but he does not know or chose to not disclose who THEY are. Researchers will have to discover who they are by reading your book THE CONTROVERSY OF ZION by Douglas Reed.

I LOVED the book. Eerily pertinent to today's conflicts as it was then and not from a person who could be written off as a "conspiracy nut" but by a decorated, Lt. Gen. Smedley Butler. I think this short booklet should be required reading in all civics or history classes. My HUGE beef is with the ereader edition from Dragan Nikola (sp?). Poor formatting, some lines repeated themselves or were cut off mid-sentence. Simply sheer laziness to not make sure that your work is up to par. Get this book, just get a different edition.

A double Congressional Medal of Honour recipient deserves to be read .Never a truer word written. About time the masses understood power, and the abuse of it, and who benefits from war. This book should be a standard text for every child in school regardless of faith.

A book that makes you angry at the sheer audacity of politicians' !
