I work in the addiction field, and have been looking for a book that simplifies the issues, and provides an action plan for change. This is it. It covers everything and explains it, too. It is incredible.

I should have known better. I found little sincerity and many repitions from other self-help books. I do realize, however, that my 80+ years of living have made me cynical on the subject. With this in mind, I gave the book to a local retirement community. I hope it may help some of the residents.

Great book. Great methods to calm the body. I used to think that my mind had to be clear first, and then I would be relaxed. Nope. Other way around! The super-awesome advice given is to relax the body and then the mind will relax.

I'm on my second read like many others. Thank you Dr Melemis! You've made me live in a whole new way.

This book has had more benefit to me personally on the subject of anxiety and depression than any other I've ever read. It has helped me make more progress in therapy. I'm much better equipped to challenge my negative thinking. I also understand now just how important of a role stress plays and how to recognize and address it. I will probably be rereading this book.
