By one of my favorite authors. I have recommended it to family and friends time and time again. While this whole series is something I like to read every few years, I enjoy books 2,3,and 4 the most. Kicking off with my very fave #2 The Vampire Lestat. Then is #3 The Queen of the Damned. And finally the hilarious, stressful and some say "odd duck" book #4 the Tale of the Body Thief. Consequently it is a bit of an odd duck in that for books 1-3 you are cruising along at the speed limit and suddenly this book takes a quick left and you keep going for a block. Finally it all works out though and when it does? You may find it is your third favorite in the series like me. Keep reading! Gotta get there. I am on to QoTD (#3)

I've read everything that Anne Rice has written and have been totally
captivated by each novel (except Violin). I own each of these books
but I enjoy reading them so much that I wanted to try it on my KF.

This was required reading for a college course and I dreaded the idea of tackling this one just because there was so much to read in such a short time frame. Fortunately for me, I was hooked early and loved the book.
Interview with the Vampire: Claudia's Story :: Babel-17 / Empire Star :: Dhalgren :: Harry and the Hot Lava :: The Queen of the Damned (The Vampire Chronicles - No. 3)

The tale of The Vampire Chronicles continue in this 2nd book of the series. If you liked Interview With The Vampire, you'll enjoy this story as much because it's Lastat's story of how he became a vampire.

Loved it. Brilliant. I felt like I traveled across the world and through time with this book. That might sound over the top, but it's completely honest. Lestat travels to country and country and though so many time periods. The images the Rice was able to put in my head were brilliant. I will absolutely re read this book.

Great, each book continues to surprise no "Twilight" vampire romance kiddie pop nonsense with Anne Rice. You get really immersed into darkness and history. The characters have real depth and you find yourself drawn into the story unable to stop reading.

This is not your typical vampire novel. This book has soul and really takes me into a world that I can get lost in for hours. One of the best books I have read. The writing style is fantastic. I love it. It is a classic.
