this book provides simple but effective ways of using mindfulness as a way to achieve inner happiness and self confidence. As a relatively absent minded person, I really appreciate the insights here and the effect I feel after just three weeks of meditation and mindfulness. though nowhere near a Zen aster yet, I feel more confident in myself, and know that there are more benefits to be reaped by making this a lifelong practice

Super amazing! This book is an excellent read for anyone - those interested in employee wellness/well-being; -AND/OR- anyone who is interested in learning about mindfulness meditation themselves, and want simple tactics/techniques to practice.

Being aware of your awareness is the first step in being able to control it. And controlling your awareness is a superpower.

Meng does a great job presenting science-backed mindfulness meditation and awareness exercises in a geeky, unassuming way.

Practicing the techniques presented in this book will improve my superpowers.

The book guides you in an easy to understand, everyday language, through the world of meditation, mindfulness and personal growth. It is an optimistic book, sprinkled wirh funny and witty remarks, that shares the author's knowledge on how to achieve real hapiness and to improve your life with uplifting feelings such as compassion and gratitude.

Great no-nonsense explanation of what mindfulness meditation is and why it actually scientifically works. None of the mystical, hippie, made-up bullcrap. The writing style is down to earth, accessible, and easy. If you're curious about mindfulness meditation, this is a great introduction to the concepts.

It also has plenty of exercises, though I recommend getting a good app to help guide you through it. As a beginner, trying on your own without guidance is difficult and not as effective. The author does have a few guided meditations up on Soundcloud, so those are a good start, but only a few so you'll quickly get tired of them.

By the time I read chapter three, I had experienced the difference with practicing what I had read.
I knew many ideas of transforming people, but many are just do the mind and brain. it's ok for some people but not for all. well this way is not for all people.
However, using breath is key for more people to have chance to change their life and business and more importantly continue the mind practice.

I was not able to read the paperback book because the font used was so unusually small.

Never have had a problem reading other paperbacks before so I was very disappointed. My other paperback books have a "normal" size font so I'm reading them with no problems.

It was not indicated that the font used was not a regular sized font used in most paperbacks.......had I known......I would not had ordered the book. Never ran across this problem before......found it a very curious!

This is the most fun filled book on mindfulness that i have read. It simplifies the entire process of reaching the still state of mind. For no reason i was getting nervous and fearful about my health. Though everything was normal but prolong worry about it lead to hypertension. From no where this book came to my life as though to show me the right path. I am practicing it now and it has amazing affect on my well being. I am indebted to Chade.

Meditation, emotional intelligence, zen buddhism and Google. And it is not a puzzle to chose wrong word in a list. These are elements of one picture.

Someone understood that human society is driven not only by intellect and IQ. Emotions play cricial role in understanding and acting in this world.

Another one wanted to make earth a place full of peace and harmony. And he created this book after trying his ideas in Google Univercity. Amazing.

Search Inside Yourself is a remarkable piece of advise for those seeking a personal and professional development path to success. Very well written and an inside opener for spiritual enlightenment.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading and leaning from this book.

Ming takes the very traditional practice of meditation and takes it to the next level. My parents in all their wisdom have continuously implored me to do meditation and after reading it now I am sold on the concept. Ming provides a lot of scientific proof as well as help us understand how the process work.

Hearing the word SPIRITUAL I usually used to think of some suspicious gurus that want my money and my energy to boost their egos. Yes, you are right, I sometimes lacked confidence. What could however convince me to give a guru a chance is the fact that the yet another suspicious guru and how-to-be-happy-in-five-minutes-manual `s author is a Google engineer. You know, Google engineers usually do not write about spirituality and they do not need to earn money in this way (I know because I goggled it). If they do, they must have a very good reason to do so. So I gave it a try…
Years long I used to say I want to meditate. In fact I did it so often that I became quite good at it, almost a Master. I mean at saying I want to meditate. It is of course a pure coincidence but I stopped saying it while reading Meng `s book. You know, you do not really need to say anything when you are sitting facing a wall with your eyes closed.
Spirituality, the very suspicious word suddenly became somehow clearer to me. Moment to moment attention, kindness and thankfulness. Simple, isn`t it? However the most important thing about the book is not what I understood. While reading Meng `s book I just felt a better human being. It was written with love and you feel this love while reading.

An excellent book to start walking to ways if bringing mindfulness to everyday life. I have long coached executives that where trying some meditation and contemplative practices. I was always amazed to see that none of them could bring such experiences to their everyday work life. It seemed to me that their meditation practice was a way of getting away from the pressures of their work life and none of them seemed to even see any possibility of blending them. I have tried (not very hard to be honest) some meditation and found it wasn't my cup of tea. After reading this book I am seriously considering to give it a new try. I very much suspect there is potential for self realization and world piece in it while still leaving 100% in our contemporary world. Worth reading!
