In my review for After We Collided (After, #2), I said I didn't want to continue this series but would because I had to know what crazy stuff Anna Todd could possibly come up with in the rest of the series. I couldn't think of any crazier situations than she had already written. I mean, how much drama can one couple go through. Evidently, a lot because After We Fell continued the crazy.
Tessa and Hardin's relationship continued to go through constant emotional upheaval. Their relationship sprung to abusive heights that disgusted me. I have said it in my previous reviews and I'll say it again, Hardin needs psychological help. He is one messed up jerk. (And that's putting it lightly.) Anna Todd gives us all these reasons why Hardin is the way he is, but it's no excuse for how he treats Tessa. I was proud that he came to a couple of realizations in this book, but it didn't rehabilitate him at all.
I was proud of Tessa a few times in this book. She's began to realize things as well, and she did a better job of sticking up for herself. Tessa made some good decisions, but she has given Hardin too many chances. I still wish she would find a true knight in shining armor who wouldn't treat her the way Hardin does. I was happy that she finally understood that Zed wasn't her friend and how she ended up handling it.
There were several surprises in this book. Most I saw coming, but a couple shocked me. I was left wondering how Tessa and Hardin could know so many horrible people. I don't think I've met this many horrible people in my lifetime. Maybe I have. I could be wrong. I just want to know where all the normal people are in their lives? Well, I guess they do have Landon, Karen and Kimberly.
I hate to say it, but I think the After series is starting to grow on me. Well, parts of it are at least. I know the series won't end how I want it to, but I can curious to see how it all wraps up. So, yes, I will be reading the other books in this series.

Tess and Hardin remain on their rollercoaster of love ad nauseam. There is so much potential, I'm sure I've already stated this, so I keep reading. Once I fell in love with them, I was determined to see it through. The fact that it's saturated in dysfunction is a guilty pleasure.
Hardin continues to be possessive, but he's less so because he admits it...then tells Tessa not to overreact? He's a pain in the behind!! Tessa hides information like usual, but she's ready to accept the blame she deserves for her choice. How about be more truthful instead? Problems...they're selectively tiptoeing around landmines, I assure you.
Back to the cliffhanger! I kind of suspected it, but it was more devastating to think of the troubled relationship with Ken. Lies aren't ever ignored. Hardin has a lot to face now.

This series only gets better and better. Anna Todd has a way with words. Has a way with writing drama filled emotions which impacts on your reading experience?
If you love a roller coaster ride of a story – then you need to read the After Series. After We Fell is by far the biggest roller coaster ride from the three in the series. Mind you, I thought that at the end of each book. Each is full of so much angst and drama. Honestly I don’t think I have read a series that had this much angst and drama.
It really is such a frustrating, angsty story – constantly greeted with back and forth, love and hate, good and bad, yes and no.
Tessa and Hardin endure so, so much in their young adult lives. How can it get any worse? Or can it get any better?
To make matters more drama fueled, her estranged father comes back into the picture. Not to mention he mother and her antics.
We get Hardin’s POV in this book too which is crucial to the events in this story. Even though Hardin is so frustrating and overbearing, his POV helps you understand why he is the way he is.
The drama that encompasses this story is so much more than before.
Hardin is always so overbearing and inconsiderate. Always just thinking of himself. He goes to huge lengths to get what he wants. It is amazing what he will do to get his own way.
Tessa can put herself if vulnerable positions. She is so smart intellectually – but other times she is so thick – that she just doesn’t see it.
Like when she was invited to the going away party at the frat house – like seriously TESSA – why would you go and hang out there – after everything…..
The whole book had my heart beat pounding on my chest. I mean, we have seen Tessa being betrayed before, but I was not expecting what was to come. I was crying for Tessa. I was in disbelief. Why, why, why…..
And what was with Zed - always being there at the right time....
They both grow throughout this story - I felt Hardin did try to be more considerate towards Tessa. He tried to control his temper and tried not to be so impulsive. I also loved how his relationship with Landon grew. Particularly, I loved watching his battle with himself. Learning and understanding that it was ok to love himself.
But they both constantly push each other’s buttons. It’s what they do. How will they ever manage to come full circle and trust and forgive one another?
The ending - so unexpected, so devastating.
How will Hardin cope? What does his future hold?
Anna Todd – what have you done to me with this After Series. It is completely consuming my life. I am so looking forward to more of Tessa and Hardin.

WORST. AUDIBLE BOOK. EVER. BUYER BEWARE!!!! I am stunned by some of these reviews and feel that either this author has an extremely large family/friend base or these reviewers are simply dillusional. I've enjoyed over 50 audible.com books and this was the first one and first time I have ever returned a book. With the exception of the narrators who did their best to give life to this deathless prose, this book was an atrocity and I only kept listening out of the unrealized hope that it would get better, and then it further deteriorated into a train wreck and I abandoned all hope. Not a single character is believable, likeable, realistic, relatable or functions outside of their own narcissistic, self-involved, whining, idiotic bubble. Hardin is simply irredeemable-- a total jerk who is so one-dimensionally awful, immature and unlikable as to make Tessa even more of an idiot to keep holding on and staying involved, no matter how good the sex. The writing makes 50 Shades of Grey feel like Pulitzer Prize material by comparison. I did not realize the book was part of a series when I started it, and there is no way on earth I would waste another second-- or credit-- to follow this luckless and inane duo through their machinations and ramblings. Where is the plot? Where is there any semblance of depth or caring about these stilted, lifeless idiots? A resounding pass and caveat emptor to any future reader or listener.

I recently discover the After Series and I just finished the 3 first volumes in no time. This is one of the best series I read recently.
This book is a bit slow at the beginning but keeps on getting better and better to end with such a cliff hanger. Tessa and Hardin keeps on fighting (as always you might say, but isn't it why we like them?) yet also progress through their relationship learning how to communicate and may be trust each other better.... Unfortunately their past and complicated family heritage keeps on getting in their way.... Looking forward to see how their story evolves, the last pages of this book clearly promise an interesting upcoming last book ...

4.5 / Top Pick
This series has been a whirlwind so far, and book three is even larger and filled with more expected and unexpected obstacles for Tessa and Hardin's bustling relationship. The story picks up when Tessa runs into her estranged father. I would call this book a battlefield for Tessa, as she tries to navigate her rekindled relationship with Hardin, her father's drunk and homeless problems and finally her big move to Seattle (that Hardin refuses to agree with).
Tessa has always felt like a real person to me, not just a character on the page. This book really shows her ability to continue growing and making decisions and dealing with harsh situations. I find her story easy to relate to, and I am grateful to find a book that shows how hard it is to transition from high school to college life and finding a profession. Life isn't easy, relationships aren't easy and finally we have an author that is brave enough to write about the terrible truth that is life sometimes. I love this series and cannot wait to begin the fourth and final book.

I received the first book free to review and immediately fell in love with it! I couldn't get enough of the continued twists and turns of events and the shocking ending that I had to purchase the next two books. I am now on my third book in the After Saga and still can't stop reading. It's just that good. I can't wait until the final book is released and arrives at my doorstep since I have already preordered it. There is never a dull moment for Tessa and just when you think that Anna Todd couldn't possibly keep you going, she hits you with so much more. While I understand that this book may not be for everyone, I would definitely recommend it. Especially since I haven't been much of a book reader. At least not until now!

I think Ann is writing these reviews lol. This third book was not great at all. It just got tiredsome. Like give it a rest we get it Hardin aka Harry is heartless and selfish to Tess but when he needs her or just need some he act right for a minute.

I've followed Anna since way before she got published and she is an amazing writer and overall an amazing person. I was skeptical when I first decided to read after but that quickly went away the story is very relatable for the "underdogs". It keeps you on your toes and you'll be pulling for Tessa and Hardin the whole way.

I thoroughly enjoyed this series and was completely hooked for two weeks as I read all four books. Yes, at times the author was repetitive, as well as very sexually explicit, but yet she kept drawing me further in, page after page.
