Peanut goes to school was good - the interaction with the other characters in the story were good. We know he is a Mommy's boy right now - but would like to see more interaction between him and his father - maybe even in dragon form.

I actually bought this book for kindle (99¢) because these are my favorite characters in her series. In this book we start to get to know Liam, also known as Peanut. Being a kid is hard, being Liam brings hard to a whole new level. Kids hear parents talk and misunderstand all the time. I did as a child. Others have too. I love how Liam deals with it though. And bullies sometimes only understand force. Dragos isn't king of the wyr because he was elected. He dragged the wyr kicking and screaming into a wyr society. I think Liam will be much the same, if also gentle as well. :) I hope there will be more Dragos, Pia and Liam in the future.

I liked everything about this short story. It showed what he's truly like, and has an excellent insight to how our children think at times. I'd recommend this short story to anyone who loves to read adorable stories.

LOVED IT! And yes, I am shouting. Admittedly I adorn all things Pia, Dragos, and Peanut . . . But even so this short story really was fantastic. We got to go through some interesting emotions from everyone. And I still can't figure how Thea Harrison got so much book, so much story, and so much entertainment into such a small number of pages. In a scale of 1 to 5 - I give it a ten.

I loved this short story.
Kids grow up before you can blink it seems and peanut is no exception. This short story tugs at my heart as I am going through the same things with my kids.

<3. I can't wait for more peanut stories

The love story between Dragos and Pia Cuelebre extends far past the initial meet-cute and sexual chemistry. Through marriage, child birth, and public scrutiny, these two newly weds are as fun to read about now as when they were coming to terms with their mutual attraction. The addition of their son Liam, a.k.a. “Peanut”, to the narrative has been a new an entertaining challenge, as Liam has all the characteristic curiosity and mischief of a toddler mixed with a magical heritage that requires taking “baby proofing” to a whole new level.

As mentioned in the blurb for PEANUT GOES TO SCHOOL, this short story is different than the other Elder Races novellas. Rather than featuring a long, stand alone love story, PEANUT GOES TO SCHOOL gives readers a short, sweet glimpse of life with Dragos and Pia from Liam’s perspective. Given Peanut’s unusual nature, I enjoyed having this glimpse of his thoughts and potential future. Liam is growing and changing at a magical rate, making a story like this invaluable to understanding what milestones his development has reached. The events in Harrison’s shorts always have an impact, too, even if the ripples seem small. Through Liam’s perspective, we see Pia and Dragos still dealing with the events of PIA SAVES THE DAY, offering hints of potential issues for future books.

That being said, the central plot-line of PEANUT GOES TO SCHOOL is essentially a classic grade school tale, with the added fillip of Peanut’s potential to flip out and cause grievous bodily harm. A sweet little story that offers tantalizing hints for what is in store with Wyr’s first family, PEANUT GOES TO SCHOOL will thrill fans of the series, but anyone new to this world should probably start at the delicious beginning of it all with DRAGON BOUND.

Sexual Content: None.

AN ENCHANTING DOSE OF WARM FUZZIES ...

PEANUT GOES TO SCHOOL by Thea Harrison is the third in a series of paranormal novellas featuring Dragos, Pia and Liam, aka Peanut. I fell in love with Thea's Elder Races series from the very first book, DRAGON BOUND, and every book following has been an exciting treat. This novella, officially # 6.7 in the line-up, is another marvelous addition. I can't get enough of Dragos' family! They're my favorites! This tale has just a tad of romance, but it still has plenty of sweet courtesy of Peanut. Peanut is growing in huge bursts thanks to his dragon half. I hate that his folks are missing many of the familiar childhood milestones, but Peanut is writing his own life story his way.

What a cute and light-hearted story. Thea Harrison gives her readers more of the Cuelebre family story, but this time she gives us a glimpse through Liam’s eyes.

Liam is Dragos and Pia’s first born. Being that he is a special breed, not even his parents know what he is capable of. Though mature for his age, he still needs to learn playground rules, friendships, loyalties, and most of all; he will need to learn how to control his powers and temper.

Liam A.K.A Peanut is just adorable. He is smart, cunning, ruthless, compassionate, and a romantic….very much like his dad. I loved getting to know him.

I enjoyed seeing Dragos and Pia through their son’s eyes. What they were going through and yet, their bond continues to stay strong. They have certainly made a mark in their son’s eyes. At a very young age, you know Liam will be just like his parents and with their DNA’s possibly even stronger. I wonder if Ms. Harrison have any plans to make a spin-off of Liam’s story. After reading this novella, i would love to read more.

There are no steamy scenes, obviously. I was, of course, hoping there would be, but being that it’s Liam’s POV, it’s probably for the best. Pia and Dragos are still working out their issues. Dragos’ memory is not fully back and Pia is struggling with a few changes but overall, they are staying very strong. With troubles going on at home, I can’t help wonder what is brewing else were in the Elder Races. I’m thinking, I should brace myself for what is to come next.

This book was, of course, too short, but it managed to grab me and made a mark in my reading experience. I think this is the first book I read that is in a child’s POV. It’s different, but I enjoyed it. *ARC provided by publisher

I received Peanut Goes to School in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I love this kid and I have since he was truly a little ‘peanut.’ I also love this little side-track journey that Thea Harrison treated readers to. Dragos Takes a Holiday, Pia Saves the Day and Peanut Goes to School may have been short and sweet but they have been packed full of awesome. :)

Liam is not your average little boy. He’s not your average Wyr. No one knows exactly what he’s capable of, especially Liam. I loved his take on the world around him and as usual, being inside this amazing little boy’s head was a treat. I loved getting to know both Dragos and Pia better through him. This is a kid who is surrounded by love and he gives as good as he gets.

This book also brought the ‘momma bear’ out in me. You’ll know why when you read it so I’m not leaving any spoilers. You’ll just have to trust me when I say that I admire both Dragos’ and Pia’s restraint.

One thing that I’m sure of is that there are amazing things in store for these characters. Even though the story arc with these novellas is over, I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of them being front and center. If you haven’t picked up the Elder Races yet, start with Dragon Bound. It’s the beginning of Dragos and Pia’s story. These characters have come a long way since that book and I have a lot of book bullies that I am eternally grateful for introducing me to them. You can thank me later ;)

Oh, Peanut. Double Oh Peanut was so cute I couldn't stop smiling. Little guy didn't only grow up but he was mature beyond his age. He was always surrounded by people who loved him. It was a challenge when his first teacher accused him of lying. A strong kid he was, he held on to his word and got on the teacher's bad side. The teacher who shouldn't be a teacher at all.
The headmaster did a great mistake for not telling his teacher. That was the first thing she should tell because his teacher is the one who would be with him and she should be the one who look out for him. But on the other hand, the adult wouldn't know how terrible teacher she was. And look at how quick he got himself a girlfriend! I couldn't stop thinking that he would be a heartbreaker in the future.

I like the way Dragos raised Liam. He treated him like he was an adult. He asked him what he thought how they should deal with the teacher.

I would like to tell the author that there was no way I can get enough of Peanut. I've never thought I would enjoy reading a story of a kid this much. I enjoyed reading through his mind. Thea Harrison has created a lovely and incredible character. I would like to demand her to continue writing story about him!

The story is exactly as advertised. Little Liam (aka Peanut) is growing so fast, he is physically and intellectually big enough for school, so Pia and Dragos send him to learn how to interact with other children. What the blurb doesn't tell you is how wonderfully charming and engaging Liam is. Most of the story is told in his POV and we really get to see the character that is developing inside him. He is such a fantastic blend of his parents! I loved him.

Obviously, this isn't a romance. If you're not already an Elder Races fan, this probably isn't for you. But for those of us who are already invested in Pia and Dragos and the lore of the series, it's really a treat. The story is too short for me to get too much into the plot, but it says so much about Harrison's great writing that she made me so interested in what was going on in the mind and heart of this child. I hope we get much more of Liam as he continues to grow.

I love this world. If you like paranormal romance and shifter this is wonderful world to read about. I love reading about the first family of the Wyr Dragos, Pia and their son Liam aka peanut. Liam promise to be awesome character. I can't wait to read another story about him "Liam Take Manhattan", which is a third in another trio of connected books in this series. They all stand alone, but the ongoing story that builds the world more with each one really has me addicted. I definitely recommend this author if like all the things I named above.

Elder Races 6.7

Liam, outwardly looking like a six year old, is sent to first grade despite not being more than two years old. While there he learns about bullies, bad teachers, and acquires an older girlfriend. And he also worries whether he might be bad.

The boy is really coming along, obviously confused by powers and talents that no one could possibly predict. At heart he is a kind young man who has much of both his mother and father in him. 4 out of 5.

I adored this brief glimpse of Pia and Dragos from Liam's view point! This truly is a short, and told almost entirely from Liam's POV this probably isn't everyone cuppa tea ~ but for those of us that just crave a glimpse of Elder Race life, this was a GEM!! LOL, it send me on a reread of Dragon Bound I liked it so much!!
