I love these characters. this family you could say.
they watch out for each other the closeness and even misunderstanding between them doesn't over rule the love
and trust that runs threw their veins.
And the sex is hot and steamy , and sometimes I have to reread those parts.
haha- to make sure I didn't mistake something

I loved reading another novel about Pia and Dragos. Pia continues to develop and feel her way with her relationship with Dragos in her "May-December" romance. She goes to repair treaties broken with the Elven demesne in SC as Dragos holds the Sentinel games to replace the two Sentinels who found their mates in previous novels. This book is fast paced and I finished it in one day. She continues to be an auto-buy author for me!

This fourth installment of Thea Harrison's Elder Races series strayed from the familiar characters slightly though they were still in the background and brought life back into the series that despite a great first showing was dragged down by the second and third attempts.

Kahlil the Djinn and Grace the Oracle story beings briefly in the Serpents Kiss (book 3, and Oracles Moon picks up the next day from their scene in that story. Kahlil is immediately drawn the Grace's family as she is the guardian of her niece and nephew after her sister and brother in law are killed in a car accident that she herself was injured in. Kahlil's enjoyment of the children is adorable and makes him as likeable to the reader as he quickly is to Grace. Grace is a strong willed woman doing her best for her niece and nephew in terrible circumstances. The rapport between the two is enjoyable and witty and the reader could actually see these two falling for one another. Like in the previous three novels we are given a very protective alpha male, but with a new twist as he is not a Wyr and there is not the mate for life, insanely jealous-protective thing to complicate the story line, even if he is a bit jealous-protective in his own right.

This was a refreshing departure from the Wyr societies the other novels focus largely in, yet it remained true to the world that has been established in the prior novels. After the disappointing showing of books 2 and 3 I didn't think it was worth continuing on in the series but this novel brings great hope of things to come from this series.

The characters make this series and I like that the author includes many of them each book rather than just focusing on the romantic pair of the book. I also like that she followed up with a pair already together. If the characters are strong and the author keeps them true you enjoy following their exploits. I look forward to more.

The first book in this series was well written she pulled you in to the store. The rest after was not as good to much strife between the main character and his sentinels but this book was as good as the first one glad I bought it.

Read Dragon Bound first. This is the sequel and makes a lot more sense if you have read Dragon Bound first. Then read the short stories about Dragos, Pia and Liam (Peanut). They make a cohesive set and are great reading. They are well worth the money.

Khalil and Grace are wonderful characters that just might replace Drago and Pia for me. The way Khalil is with Chloe and Max is so funny. The little girl Chloe is one of the funniest kids. I hope in a later book we find out more about Grace's vision of Khalil's future.

I purchased "dragon bound" and "lord's fall" together. But after reading "dragon bound" i just had to get the rest of this series. So I held off on reading "lord's fall" and purchased the whole series. The first two books were awesome. I could not put these books down. I eagerly read each one and couldn't wait to read the next one. The plots were well written and flowed beautifully. But then.....something fell short on the third book "serpent's kiss" but i knew lord's fall was going to pick up the slack. First of all I missed the other guardians. Even though there were "others" who tried to pick up the storyline and go with it, it just did not work for me....I want Rune back as number one. His relationship with the dragon lord is "sort of" smoothed over but where's the love. I need the love back in this relationship. the chemistry between the Wyr lord and his lady is still there (even though going off to the elven demense to try to make amends on behalf of your boyfriend the dragon while carrying his dragon baby is stupid) however, I want the relationship back between the dragon and his guardians. I would still recommend this book because I know there will be more on the elder races. It can't end like this......

If you loved Dragon Bound, then you'll love Oracle's Moon too. (For me, the books in the series that came in between were a little disappointing.) Both focus on showing the reader how the characters grow together. The external conflict is exciting and full of action, but never overwhelms the romance. Grace is like Pia in that she's playful, practical, cautious and mortal. Khalil is like Dragos in that he's an overwhelming, arrogant, magical, bad boy.

The similarities aren't so great that Oracle's Moon is repetitious. The story lines are radically different. Grace is a breath of fresh air in this series, with her concerns as a mother to two small children and dealing with money problems, health issues, career decisions and grief. Khalil has family issues of his own to deal with and is often a fish out of water when interacting with the mortals who begin to fascinate him. While the issues are serious, Thea Harrison does a great job of giving comedic relief. There are plenty of lines that will have you laughing out loud.

It's a great read and you'll get a glimpse of what's happening with Carling and Rune and Pia and Dragos (particularly in the excerpt of "Lord's Fall" at the end)!

I enjoyed this book immensely. The fast pace kept you on your toes and covered a wide number of events. It kept you involved through the end. The only drawback I found is that I still don't know Pia's wry form. I've missed the first book about their meeting. Guess what I'll be reading.

Like some other reviewers, i loved reading how Dragos and Pia's relationship deepened and developed in this novel. I also enjoyed the lead up to the birth of their child. What i didn't enjoy was the rather anti-climatic finish to the novel, with the birth of baby 'peanut'...the telling of this momentous event was rushed and a bit nonsensical and in short...I FELT ROBBED. Still don 't quite understand why the author did this or why her editor let her! Quite annoying after such a great story.

I really like this whole series and the Pia/Dragos are absolute favorites but I found this storyline and this couple really interesting and a bit different. I hope we get more of them in later books.

I have to admit that Thea Harrison caught and held my attention with the story of Dragos and Pia. I have enjoyed all in this series although this book didn't seem as raunchy as the other books. It was a good read although I think I would've liked more storyline from Khalil's perspective.

Definitely one to add to the collection although not as strong in the characters as the others. Can't wait to read other stories in the Elder races series.

I give this book three and a half stars.

This is the fourth full book (not a novella) that I've read of Thea Harrison's and again I was not disappointed by her writing! Her characters are well fleshed out (no pun intended) and her stories detailed! Loved it, Loved it, Loved it!

stunning! this was such a pleasure to read - renewing acquaintances with characters met in previous books in the series, meeting some new ones and spending hours lost in a most compelling alternate world - lovely!

Writing this review because this author tells a story very well. Wether romances are your thing or not, if she writes a topic or theme that you enjoy, give her a read. I hope she branches out beyond the romance stuff.

I love series where the characters continue to interact with the new stories of others. This has a good plot and a little mystery. There is intense love scenes and not for young readers but it doesn't overwhelm the story.

I LOVE Pia and Dragos!!!! Besides the fact that are one of my favorite couples (up there with Vlad and Leila, Evy and Sebastian, Cat and Bones, Callie and Ruston, Elena and Raphael, Dorina and Louis Cesare ( I can't believe I almost forgot those two!!!)), this couple is the only consistently good thing about the Elder series. The other novels in the series are touch and go, some are good (Oracle's Moon) some not so much (they shall me unnamed). I am not sure why, but Harrison writes better when these two are around. So please keep them around more!!!!!
