A well crafted series. The plot moves between worlds and times but does it very well indeed. The characters are well rounded and the plotline flows like a river, with currents and eddies. I commend it to you!

Way to go David Beers and move over Stephen King. Once again David Beers has created another superb dystopian sci-fi adventure. The futuristic story line draws you in while the characters are original and before you even know it you are on the edge of your seat hoping Ceasar is going to survive and save mankind. You find yourself loving, hating, and understanding the well developed characters as well as their actions. The story is superbly woven and the next thing you know you're are entangled in a complex web where it is the situation of man versus machine. Was the decision to give the machines so much control a good one? Will this eventually be the destruction of mankind, or will mankind's resilience beat the machines designed to save the world who seem so bent on destroying the very thing they were created to help? Think you know the answer? Wait until you get to the end of this twisted tale of loyalty and betrayal! You will be surprised at the ending. Whether you feel disappointed or thrilled by the ending you will feel exhilarated! It has been a long time since readers have been drawn in so deep to the story that they whether you agree with the ending or not, you will finish the series saying " Damn that was a great read".
Another must read series by David Beers.

Immediately after finishing book one I had to continue Caesar's journey. While it doesn't start so much as a "dark" Sci-Fi/Dystopian it does become one (so you have a fair warning). However, I personally thoroughly enjoyed the story (even the gruesome parts) and it is well worth the time to read it. The author's style and comprehension of the undesirable underlying parts of humanity make the story so believable that you understand and can see that given the proper circumstances the conclusion is the ultimate truth. We are what we are. How can that be deviated? If you like Sci-Fi/Thrillers and thought provoking fiction give this set a chance, you won't regret it. And "Thank the Genesis" it hasn't came true, yet.

This takes place in a vertical distant future we no longer think or live for ourselves. The book grabs you and you can't put it down, as all his books do. To find out more you'll have to buy the books. They are well worth it!!!

Absolutely loved it! I inhaled book one from start to finish in one ravening literary mouthful, and knew instantly that I had to have more. This is what post-apocalyptic sci fi is all about, and the box set makes it oh so much easier to get your fix.
