Even though I have read the Twilight series, I was delightfully surprised that this was a completely different vampire story. I loved the Salem back drop. I would recommend this book to my girlfriends.

Absolutely loved this book as well as the other two books in the trilogy. This book started kind of slow but once it got your attention you were hooked. I love anything historical, and really enjoyed the blend of history and modern day, these books had to offer.

I really enjoyed reading this book on my new Kindle! I downloaded it for .99 and read it in two days. I could not put it down. Great story, well written. Allard did a great job and I can not wait to read more from her. It had a bit of everything (vampires, werewolves, witches, etc.) but doesnt go over the top. For all the entertainment this book provides for .99, it is a great deal. Download now.

I am not reviewing for anybody or anyplace. I just like books.

A little too predictable for me, feels more YA, minus the sparkly skin of Twilight. Enjoyed the setting of Salem, having been there, no glaring speech to text software issues with this one, as with so many of the free books.

This trilogy is AWESOME!!!!! I have never felt this way about a book/books until now.......im reading them through for a second time and all the emotion is still there as if I've never read it before; the type of story that I know I can enjoy over and over again! It's not just a book anymore, to me.

The book was very interesting. During the reading I was able to picture the settings and characters. I love that it had historical settings/events, because I love reading about and learning history. After reading this book it makes me want to go to Salem Massachusetts just to look at the town and its history.

This was an excellent book and it was free!! Afterteafing this I immediately purchased book two of the trilogy. Everything was so well researched and the character was not a typical cliche vampire which I loved!! It had old time romance appeal tied in with modern times!! Excellent book and I highly recommend it!!'

I chose this rating because from the first page of prologue I could not wait to read this book. I am the type of reader that needs to be captured almost immediately when reading the first page of a book or novel.
I am on my second book of the trilogy and can't wait to see what is yet to come.

If the author wanted to include Salem in her fairy tale she should have tried for a semblance of reality. Salem is a city, not a small town. The historic district is not near the university's mostly paved over for parking and driving is a nightmare. Boston would be easier to navigate and that is notoriously bad. A little more research would have helped make a silly book more bearable.

This book was fun and interesting to read. The story line gave way to the history of the witch trials while giving it a paranormal twist that proved to be a great addition to the book to keep me engaged in reading.
