U know mental health is a real thing especially with psychological fear, the way your parents raised you or how you raised yourself, shows wat type of person you become. Some may live selfishly or some may live selfless. However I think everyone live both selfishly n selfless to a certain extend on both ends because it the way God created us. You are meant to go through life with rough obstacles. However if you keep yourself positive n constantly reward yourself then you would be happy and it is okay to feel sad or depressed because we have our ups and downs. It is the way we are created:we are humans not robots. That's why this story really touch my heart because you can negotiate all you want and sign a contract but in the end the rules will be broken. Therefore they either need to suffer the consequences or they need to talk it out. In the end they have to go through a near death experience for them to realize how much they are meant for each other. Give Props to author, Sandi Lynn for another GREAT STORY AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!! May you all catch up with PPL you haven't seen for awhile. *^_^*

Although this is not my favorite book by Sandi Lynn, I still really enjoyed this one!!! Emily and Jackson start out as these kind of closed off and emotionally cold characters. I was actually kind of worried that I was not going to be able to warm up to them because their approach to their "non-relationship" was so business-like. However, I ended up really falling in love with them and really loved watching them try to fight their growing feelings for one another. The end was adorable and I was so sad to see this book end. There is just something about Sandi Lynn's writing that always sucks me in leaves me with the biggest smile. Another fun one!

Not the contract part--the premise of the book was interesting--but the characterization was simplistic and difficult to believe in. For someone with Lynn's backlist, there's a lot of extraneous description and stilted dialogue. I just couldn't connect with the characters.

I absolutely love everything written by Sandi Lynn and The Negotiation was no exception. I couldn't put this book down. I couldn't wait to see how Sandi Lynn would turn these two nonbelievers in relationships into lovestruck believers. The best part was the hot and sexy ride to get there.

Emily did not believe in happily ever after. Her mother completely ruined that for her. She grew up watching her mom date man after man but never letting them in. Emily was a successful business owner and didn't need a man to make her happy. Emily was ready to be free of men and the drama that came with them. That all flew out the window when she met Jackson Kane, who was a successful CEO who has the same views on relationships as her. Their beliefs seem to fit perfectly just like a business deal. They could have it all. They set the rules and of course what could go wrong? Two people perfect for each other couldn't possibly want more. Or could they?

There were times I wanted to scream and shake some sense into both of them. Sandi Lynn always pulls me into her books and gets me so emotionally attached. Another five star read for me!!

Sandi Lynn is an automatic purchase for me. She has yet to disappoint me. I enjoyed this from open to close. You know it's really good when real emotions come out and you laugh and cry along with the characters. I would definitely recommend this book and all of her others.

The plot was intriguiing but the dialogue is straight firsr draft material. It's very stiff. And how many times does the leading man need to smirk? Really needs some work and editing. Really nothing here to recommend.

This book was okay. I usually love Sandi Lynn books but I just couldn't connect with Jackson or Emily. To me everything was just... perfunctory and clinical. The language was extremely formal and every character was so articulate and polite and barely used contractions which took away a little of the realism aspect. The characters tried to be complex with their backstories as they both came from families that made them become disillusioned with relationships, but they were very one-dimensional. Even the way they connected over their shared views on relationships was kind of like a back and forth conversation with no emotional depth at all. There was just no sizzle, no anticipation, no tummy flips. I was a little disappointed and found myself skimming pages just to get through the book. All in and all the book was just short, sweet, simple, and to the point. Not a great romance, but a nice one. Even though this was a miss for me I would still recommend this author.

I really love this book! Emily & Jackson are awesome together! They sizzle!! The companion contract they decided to draw up was an interesting way to be together and definitely the right thing for them. Due to their views on relationships that has basically been ingrained in them for years growing up, it is amazing they even wanted to try that. They became each other's best friend with benefits first and this was the perfect way for them to have what they considered a non-relationship. It was fun watching them clearly falling in love and doing things people in relationships do but not calling it that. It was inevitable that eventually one of them would break rule #9. I was a little worried about that but luckily it all worked out in the end! Sandi Lynn never disappoints me!!
