I love the series, so I bought this, short read but it was worth it, the only thing is I would have been MORE excited to actually have this in book form, or even like a special edition folder, I dunno to feel like I am looking at actual documents, the kindle belongs to my mother but she let me buy it anyway, I love it. This is my new favorite series, and I haven't been insanely in love with a book since the Inheritance trilogy (Eragon, before the s***ty movie)

The books are better than the movie, but I felt that an awful lot of print was used to get the story across. You must suspend any need for reality for these books to work for you. I found The Maze Runner was by far the best. Subsequent two books spend too much time of the "Flame" illness and Wickeds idea of eradication.

I enjoyed this book(more of a pamphlet, very short) because it answered some questions from the first three books(and forth? I read this before The Kill Order by accedent). It told of the beginnings of WICKED and the truth of The Flare and *spoiler alert* the group that created it, (plus how it was released-that was not an accedent ladies and gents!) although the little information it is. Here`s a sum of what you get; One bonus Thomas memory, Minho`s Phase Three trial, a few more e-mails and memos from the ends of the books, "classified" info about The Flare`s creation and how it was released, and a little poster about the Flarevirus. I`d say a good deal for two bucks, although it vould have used more content, literally, i`m not even kidding, half of it is a preview for The Eye of Minds. So(sorry english teacher for starting a sentence with "so") if you want some little tid-bits of extra lore, buy this book/pamphlet thing.

Interesting mix of "files" relating to The Maze Runner. Some of it wasn't really necessary and some of it was really good information! But it wasn't anything jaw-dropping. Neat little addition to the series.

I really needed a little short story from James Dashner. I was really missing my TMR characters (my babies) and looking at things through Minho' s POV was really interesting and refreshing because MINHO
I do wish we got something from Newt, though. I love Newt and it would have been really interesting to see if the Flare's effects had started yet. And also NEWT IS MY BABY ASJDFKL I CAN'T DEAL SO MANY TEARS
So I would recommend it if you are emotionally damaged from his other books. It's pretty interesting.

Books like these (i.e. companions) are supposed to provide you with extra details and trivia about a world you've come to know through a book series. This one commits the ultimate crime of not actually matching the canon previously established by the novels. The timeline is so off, one has to wonder whether the author read his own books.

I was kind of disappointed with it.
I was expecting something completely different, but I did enjoy reading the part about Minho! He is one of my favorite characters (Newt was my other).

Buy overall it was okay!
