I read 5 to 7 books a week- I am an addict, But I am a fussy addict- I will put down a book the second it bores me or insults my intedlligence or is "just like" some other writer (unless it has its own tone and makes its own promises AND THIS BOOK PROMISES AND DELIVERS: suspence, mysteries galore; the fine FINE arts of communicating in well chosen words, the kind of desire to KNOW that makes me read ALL night and interfers with my meals and, at the end makes my whisper "thank you" and think "more" nd of the bestg reading experiences in a lifetime of good experiences TO good not to tell others about AND too good to be able o do it justice! READ IT ALL AND FOLLOW THESE WRITERS AS IF THEY WERED LEADING YOU TGO A POT OF GOLD--- they are…

I really like these books and have been kinda hooked. However, everyone that has mentioned the need for editing is sooo right. OMG, here is one that makes me laugh “she jumped out of the trunk with “bear” feet Bahahaha. I am picturing this young girl with bear-like feet all of a sudden. There are so many errors I have lost count and it is a shame because the stories are pretty good. I don’t think the author has an editor and relies on spell check only. But hats off for being bold enough to put themselves out there and write books, I sure can’t.

Only two of the characters were developed. The author didn't even drop a hint as to why Detective Peaches would believe Ellie. Also, I never believed that Ellie loved her husband. But what really wrecked the story for me was the author's poor grammar. I kept getting stuck on her use of objective case when it should have been nominative, and her many mistakes in subject/ verb agreement. Some agressive editing, better character development and stronger plot focus would have made this a 4 star story.

Weird.....interesting......exciting.....believable. I couldn't put it down. Your imagination is wonderful. Although your editing needs work. In one of the orphan stories Rachel was Evelyn for a couple of pages. Looking last that, your a very good author. Keep them coming.

Made it through the first series, enjoyed it. But... having a really hard time with the second one. The grammar is atrocious, the use of "portraits" describing barn scenes and horses is just plain wrong.

I've never read anything by this author, but I took a chance because the description sounded interesting. I'm glad I did. The stories kept me interested from start to finish, to the point I kept picking up my tablet any chance I had. Couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen. I wish the second story would have had a more decisive ending. It felt to me like a chapter or two was missing. There were some typos and misspellings, but not a big deal. This set of books is worth reading.

At first I loved these books but after the third book with Bridget acting smart in some places and totally stupid in others it got annoying. At one point she used pen and paper to talk with someone when they were being watched but another time she had on a wire and couldn't figure out to use a pen and paper to warn the person. I didn't finish the series, I predicted who the traitors were way to early on.

The first story was quick paced and short enough to read at the beach. The second story also kept my interest, BUT beware, the consistent errors in words, additional or missing, made it difficult to remain on track, sometimes needing to re-read to know what the author might have meant. If this is the auto correct, you should change publishers.
Hoping for better results with stories 3 & 4.

I really enjoyed the adventures, but several times I almost quit reading because of the terrible editing. Spelling, grammar usage and sentence structure made it really difficult. I kept having to stop and try to figure out what the author was trying to say. Please get an editor. The author definitely has a storytelling gift.

I really enjoyed the book series, although I found it a little long in the end. Did anyone else wonder if a romantic relationship was developing between Bridget & Mac? They just seemed to have a very unusual insta-friendship. Anyway, I think the novel needed to end sooner to avoid losing its edge.

This is a great introduction to an interesting new world of intrigue and mystery. I hope to be able to continue to follow Bridgett Dubois as she searches for her sister Holly. My heart is clutched in anxiety hoping she is able to find her and bring her home!

The second set of stories have a very unique story line that I enjoyed. But I think perhaps it had no proof reading, I had a bit of a problem continuing to read in some parts because of the grammatical errors

As with the other reviewers, I enjoyed the stories, but was very distracted by all the grammatical errors and misspellings. Still, the stories about a girl who sees dead people and feels the need to help them find justice and peace was interesting. I would recommend reading them and, to the author, I would strongly suggest a good proofreader!

Interesting reading. Once You’ve started, it’s difficult to stop reading. Characters are interesting, killers devious and crazy, concept of putting murdered to peace, intriguing. What’s there not to like?

I like the ideas, really. But the spiders,no!! The typos throughout were more frightening than the ghosts! "scolding bulb", "kiss on the creek" are examples. Rachel turns into 'Evelyn' on Christmas Eve for a while. I'm willing to proofread your stories.. think about it. [email protected]

The seires is written well..needed someone to do some more proofing during the editing process, but overall I was very pleased with the stories. Each we're alike but different enough to keep interest.

Loved the first story...just starting the second. This series certainly has grabbed my interest. So far, hard to put down.
I have finished the series. A great read. Well developed with lots of twists and turns. I will certainly look for additional works from
J S Donovan.

A great collection of stories in sequence involving Rachel, the girl with the gift, who solves the crimes of serial killers. The stories are well written with people that you can care about and cheer for. This is my first review.

This book was awesome. Rated it a10 hands down. Had to find a way to attach it to my body so I could listen and do my housework. Husband will just have to live with me ignoring him till I finished it. Will recommend it to everyone. Thanks for a great read.
