Overall Rating: 4.5

Quick & Dirty summary: William Moore is the All-American boy on the Irish Rugby team. Quiet, sweet, and a true gentleman, Will doesn’t draw too much attention to himself. That is, until a scandal outs Will’s secret love life. Will will do what it takes to make sure he stays on the straight and narrow so the rugby team isn’t negatively impacted, even going so far as to hire a babysitter. Josey couldn’t be a better babysitter if she tried. She’s outspoken, she’s transparent, and she desperately needs a new place to live. But when Josey herself becomes a temptation for Will, the two must figure out how to navigate their working/living/loving? relationship.

I love Josey. She is awkward, and nothing makes me happier than seeing the klutzy girl get the guy. I don’t think I’m spoiling anything by saying that. But Will was a surprise to me-a good surprise! He is much darker than I expected. He is the perfect leading man because he has a lot of depth under those manners.

The pacing of the novel is great. The dialogue is wonderful. And I read this book in a snap because I couldn’t put it down. Really, there is nothing for me to complain about. Except, you knew there was going to be an “except,” the central conflict toward the end of the book had me a little baffled. It didn’t quite gel for me. That’s a personal issue and I’m sure when you read the book you won’t think twice about it.

I think this may be my new favorite book in this series. I do love Brian a lot, but Will and Josey together and magical.

Is it worth buying? (Kindle)
Yes. This story will make your heart burst with longing and love.

Something else you might enjoy:
Try Painted Faces by L.H. Cosway. There’s nothing about the story that is overtly similar to The Varlet and the Voyeur, except that the hero seems to have a secret, at least at the beginning of the story.

The dynamic duo of Penny Reid and LH Cosway strikes again with the 4th book in their Rugby series, The Varlet and the Voyeur. I’m not gonna lie, this book got off to a bit of a rocky start for me. I wasn’t 100% sure if I loved the heroine (don’t worry, she grows on you) and the actual topic of the story itself made me nervous. I should have known that Reid and Cosway would deliver. I ended up really enjoying it!

William Moore is a Rugby player from America. He’s the gentleman of the team. He’s quiet and well mannered. But he has a secret. A big one. And everyone is about to find out about it. Josey Kavanagh is awkward AF. Seriously. This poor girl made me cringe so many times she was so awkward. But she’s very sweet and has a big heart.

Josey and Will come to a place where they need each other. Josey needs a place to stay and Will needs a companion to stay with him. This arrangement works out very well for a while. Some how, these two characters really compliment each other. They don’t seem like they would, but they do. Even though it seems impossible, sparks start to fly.

I could feel the chemistry between these two. Will was enamored with Josie. Things that would annoy most people, or embarrass them, Will found charming. Through his eyes, so did I. Will was a great character. He was no pervert, if anything, he was noble and chivalrous. Josey made me cringe at first, but with time, I liked her a lot. She made me laugh and smile more times than I could count.

I loved that the characters were both unique and the story was original. This is definitely not a topic you read about every day, especially in romance. It’s refreshing. I love love love Reid and Cosway’s writing style. The Varlet and the Voyeur is sweet, sexy, funny, swoon worthy, and smart. Though this book won’t be for everyone, I think that most fans of this story will enjoy and appreciate it!

Where to begin...? Alright, so overall, I enjoyed the story, the writing was good, and the sexy scenes were HOT! The beginning, not so much. Some of the topics were, to me, not that big of a deal, but were a HUGE deal for the story. The lead characters I didn't feel like I connected with them as well as I'd hoped I would.

So we have the hero who is into voyeurism. Cool beans, no biggie. Sure it isn't the greatest thing to let the paps get ahold of, but it's not the worst thing out there. But everyone was treating his kink like it was an addiction and he needed to be monitored and babysat to keep him on the straight and narrow. I mean...really? It's a kink, not an addiction. If he liked bondage, I'm sure nobody would bat an eye. Anyway, that's just my personal feelings on that part. I liked how he was always kind, protective, a bit shy, and super sweet, but there were some things he did (his commitment stuff) that got a bit on my nerves.

Then we have the 26 year old female lead. I truly didn't like her in the beginning. When her family tells her they're bankrupt and will have to sell their home to make ends meet, does Josey comfort her family? No. She throws a huge tantrum, is extremely selfish and immature. She seriously gets mad that they'll no longer pay for her schooling. Ummm...say what?! THEY'RE BROKE! Get a job, take out loans, pay your own way. Sheesh. Anyway, I did like that she was a bit of an oddball: never knew when to stop talking and oversharing, was a bit socially awkward, etc.

All in all, this book did hold my attention, so I'm giving it a 3-3.5 star rating. This hasn't been my fave of this duo's books, but if it sounds interesting to you (the other readers) pick it up and give it a try.

What an absolute sweet read! I’ve read the second book in this series and remember how hilarious the heroines were. And Josey was just that in her chatty and quirky way. She’s a friend that I would just love to have.

Something that I need to do ASAP is read one of L.H. Cosway’s books. I’m a huge of fan of Penny Reid’s work, so it was easy to pick out her awesome humor.

Josey! To read a book with such a relatable and solid heroine. She’s completely honest and I love her constant chatter. And a woman who is 100% comfortable with her sexuality and knows exactly what she wants. Bravo, we all need a Josey in our lives.

William was such a unique character to me. I can’t say that I’ve read a romantic comedy with the added topic of voyeurism. Everyone has their preferences and I pass no judgment whatsoever. I, so, so, so appreciated that Reid and Cosway made it known that it was all concensual (like it should be) between all parties involved. But whether people agreed with it or not, it’s not everyone’s preferences.

Along with Josey, I was completely in love with William. Truly a stand up dude and his personal take on relationships and porn (yes, you read that right) was so damn refreshing and honest.

Everything about these two made them so relatable. With Joey’s hilarious inner dialogue and banter between the both of them, it brings you plenty of laughs. And more of those mushy feels that everyone loves so much.

I forever love this writing duo and I hope they have more books planned for the future! It’s been a while where I’ve read a solid friends with benefits trope that didn’t seem redundant. And this one just puts all others to shame.

Highly recommend!

P. S. There is no voyeurism going on in this book. It was the hero’s preference, but no longer does it.

I launched into this book and launched out the other side a warm, amused and content bunny. I’ve loved some of this series and only liked some of the others but THE VARLET AND THE VOYEUR was clear love for me. I will say there felt to be a bit less sports context in this one, which is a little sad.

My love starts and ends with Will, the guarded, strong, silent and misunderstood Flanker of the rugby team. He’s amid a nasty sex scandal that is mostly fabricated, when actually he just likes watching...watching only, because of reasons. Will was intruiging and he just captured my interest so easily. Where Josey was a chatterbox, inappropriate and sometimes ridiculous, Will was reserved, introverted and wary. I loved the development of his character and this friendship.

Josey seemed initially to be a bit of a ‘princess’ but my judgement was soon knocked on the head as I got to know her. It wasn’t instant like for me with Josey, she was a ‘grower’ and that growth came from seeing the friendship develop between these roommates. Some of the awkward dialogue between these two made me snort-laugh and I felt generally amused for much of this read. Josey did still irritate me just occasionally, but on the whole, Will was the making of Josey. He balanced her.

I pretty much adored all the chemistry goings-on between this couple. It was funny, it was serious, it was page-turning. I have lots of highlighted quotes but they all seem to have the word vagina in them!

So, V&V joins book one as my favourites of this series. Reid and Cosway do work together and pull off seamless writing of a couple so well.

I voluntarily read an early copy of this book.

Varlet [vahr-lit] noun Archaic.

1. a knavish person; rascal.
2. an attendant or servant.
3. a page who serves a knight.

One thing you can always count on when Penny Reid and L.H. Cosway write together is that you will learn something new. In The Varlet and the Voyeur, I learned the word varlet. I can now add that word to the running list of other words that Penny Reid and L.H. Cosway have brought to my attention.

There are actually several things you can count on when these two amazing authors collaborate or write on their own. You can count on a story that is both entertaining and makes you slow down and think about something in a new way. You can also count on romance that will leave you swoony and suffering the from a serious case of all the feels.

In this last installment of the Rugby series, we are treated the story of Sean and Josey. Sean is a famous rugby player who finds himself in the news for more than just his skills on the field. His secret interest has hit the front page leaving him exposed and in need of someone to whom he can be held accountable. Fortunately for Sean, Josey is in need of a place to live and a job. When Sean makes Josey an offer she really can't refuse, the sparks between them start to fly and WOW!

I love when Penny and L.H. write together. Their writing styles and story telling talents compliment each other perfectly. They blend their abilities seamlessly so that the reader never knows who is telling what part or when their is a transition between the authors.

I'm really hoping that even though the Rugby series is finished, the writing collaboration between these two amazing authors will continue.

“We were opposites on every way. Mismatched. If we were words, we’d be antonyms.”

Penny Reid and L.H Cosway write beautiful endearing stories together that will make you feel, laugh out loud and most importantly believe that there is someone out there for everyone. They make the imperfect look perfect… their words are like magic.

William Moore *SWOON* I love his character so so much. He is sexy, alpha, adorable and vulnerable. The hot Irish player is a voyeur. However, when the journalists drag his name through the mud by making up trash stories about his sexual habits, Will needs to act and preserve the reputation of the team.

Will swept me off my feet BIG TIME!

Josey… she is super-duper!! She is endearing, sweet and has no filter. I simply loved her quirkiness and uniqueness. I would LOVE to live inside her brain! Her inner dialogue and interaction with Will had me in stitches the whole way through.
Josey needs somewhere to stay and a job…
Will needs a flatmate, someone that would keep him company…

“It’s Josey. She brings life with her- and light, and joy- wherever she goes, where before there was only silence and … absence.”

You see where this is going? Yes they will move together and it only gets better from that moment!

The Varlet and the Voyeur is a deliciously hot and endearingly sweet romance! I thoroughly enjoyed the blazing chemistry and hilarious verbal sparring.

L.H Cosway and Penny Reid's writing is smart, witty, and priceless, and again I was blown away by their talent.

This is the final offering in Cosway’s and Reid’s Irish Rugby series and by far it is my favorite of the four! That’s most likely because William Moore is one of the most interesting heroes I’ve read in a long time!

Will’s been hanging around in the back of the previous three novels, a team mate of our first three heroes and a gentleman to the core. So imagine the readers surprise when Will’s book opens up with him enveloped in a public scandal — he’s been outed as a voyeur, a “pervert.” That’s right. Our gentleman Will likes to watch….

Will decides he needs a roommate to distract him from his proclivities; enter Josey, the loudmouth friend of Eilish who we meet in Book 3. At the start of The Varlet and the Voyeur, I did NOT like Josey. She is spoiled and bratty and says inappropriate things. But I found myself warming up to her, seeing the sweetheart inside. She is spoiled, yes. But she recognizes it and she’s working on it.

I appreciated this. In so many romances (at least the ones I’ve been reading lately), we’re given a spunky girl with a fiery attitude. We like her right away. But she falls for a bad boy, or a jaded man hardened by life. And it takes us a while to see the good in him. This was the exact opposite. I liked the reversal of norms here.

But Josey and Will suffer from one of my most disliked romance tropes. Though it’s probably the most realistic problem romance couples deal with, it is also the one I find most frustrating. Neither character can read the other’s thoughts, nor are they willing to put themselves on the line, so they make assumptions and misunderstandings occur. This is so frustrating for me to read because if they would just be HONEST with each other then they could find resolution so much more quickly! By chapter 20, their inability to speak to each other was painful for me. I just wanted to step into the novel and scream, “Will, she likes you! Get over yourself!”, “Josey, he likes you too! Put on your big girl panties and woman up!” Ugh!

As frustrated as I was, wen the couple did get together it was extremely satisfying.

The book had a lot of the quirky humor that I come to expect in a Penny Reid book, especially during all the chapter-opening Twitter convos between the rugby players.

I’m giving The Varlet and the Voyeur 4.5 stars. But it would probably get five if I didn’t feel like I wanted to reach into my Kindle and sit the characters down on a couch and make them talk to each other!

The Varlet and the Voyeur releases everywhere but Kindle on June 11. On June 14 it will be available on Kindle Unlimited.

Josey Kavanagh had been hurled into the great unknown following her parents revealing their need to downsize. Not only that, but their lack of the green stuff meant that they couldn’t continue to subsidise her college fees in becoming a Vet. She ultimately lands on her friend, Eilish’s sofa, much to her partner Bryan’s concern.

William Moore has joined the Irish rugby team, all the way from Oklahoma US. He’s quite unassuming as a character, and has gained great respect amongst the fans. That is until a story is about to break, which will not only expose a dark secret, but will smear his sharp reputation.

The powers that be at the rugby team, decide to manage William’s expose, and that encompasses assigning a flatmate, who will almost act as a chaperone to ensure he doesn’t succumb to his past tendencies.

As Bryan is part of the rugby team, and a past flatmate of Williams, he offers up his sofa surfer for the position of William’s new flatmate. It seems an ideal option for Josey, especially as she is in need of a place, some money, and has zero filter.

This story was a definite grower for me. I recognised Josey’s awkwardness, but took a time to warm to her. Once they had met, the chemistry was overtly apparent, and I thoroughly enjoyed their unique and colourful journey towards being a couple. I did struggle a little with William’s initial acceptance of the fallout and actually felt great sympathy at the way he was misunderstood.

All in all, a great addition to this exclusive series. I just can’t resist any pairing between LH Cosway and Penny Reid, so I was delighted to receive a complimentary copy.

My excitement level upon finding this on my Ipad was pretty freaking high - I have loved every book in this series. This writing duo wrote some of my favourite stories last year and this one did not disappoint. Told in dual POV (my favourite) we get Will and Josey's story this time round. We have met them both in previous books and have to say they had me hooked from the first page.

I adore a quirky girl and you don't get much quirkier than Josey. Inappropriate, socially awkward and the kinda girl who quotes old forgotten English words for fun. BUT she's more than that, she's kind, she's smart and she's fiercely loyal.

Will is the good guy in his rugby team, the polite, clean-cut, well behaved member of the team. That is until his dirty little secret comes out. One of the things I love most about the stories these authors write together is that characters are not who you expect them to be - appearances can be deceiving and that's definitely the case here.

Put the two together and hilarity ensues. They are a perfect fit for each other (even though they're opposites on paper) and a friendship is quickly formed. Some of my favourite moments in the story were their nights at home together with Will relaxing with Josey - both of them learning that they're perfectly okay just the way they are. Isn't that all anyone wants really? To be accepted for who they are.

Such a refreshing read, with plenty of LOL moments, seriously hot chemistry and the occasional moment that made me sit and think - a happy balance of sweet and heat. Definitely recommend. Straight into my Favourites of 2018.

Honorable, principled, honest, these may not be the adjectives that first come to mind when you think of a varlet or a voyeur. But, these are the words that can definitely be used to describe Will Moore, the Hero of this story. Quirky, compassionate, kind, these are the words that describe Josey Kavanagh. And together they’re simply wonderful!

Will finds himself in need of a chaperone of sorts. And Josey needs a place to stay. They find they’re supremely compatible and oddities that might bother other people don’t phase them at all; in fact those eccentricities draw them to one another. It seems like the perfect arrangement until hearts get involved! It’s delightful to watch Will and Josey’s innocent friendship turn emotional and steamy.

The Varlet and the Voyeur is another fantastic edition to the bestselling Rugby Series by Cosway and Reid. There are a couple of miscommunication issues that get a little bit annoying. As the omniscient reader, you just want them to “stop being stupid and get together already!” But, overall, it’s a smart and thoroughly satisfying story that I highly recommend! You should definitely one-click this one today!

I really liked this story. Different from the regular trope out there like The Secret Baby trope, The Billionaire trope, etc. This is different than those stories with the famous person with a non-famous person. Even though Will is a famous rugby player he doesn't act like a typical sports celebrity. He far too quiet and straight-laced. And he's not a jerk.

*****SPOILERS AHEAD*****

Josey herself is on the quirky side. In fact at the beginning of the book she is painted as a very socially awkward person who has lived with her parents for 26 years and is in their company often and most evenings she watches TV with them and is asleep by 9:15pm each night. I guess Josey's character is why I'm giving this book 4 stars instead of 5 because her character didn't seem consistent. Given that we know Josey is a homebody she says she's had eight sex partners (four good and four not so good) which I had to question how she could when she is socially awkward and has a tough time meeting people. Example when she mentions she has no friemds at college and had tried her first week, but she started talking about how she liked to use men's deodorant and those girls have been avoiding her since. I think for most men her awkwardness and her verbal diarrhea would've been a turnoff that they wouldn't have made it to the bedroom and where would she have found these men if she was home all the time? I guess this is really what bothers me about the story. Not to say that I don't love her character because I absolutely do!!!

This was a very refreshing read, with fun dialogue, strong characterization and a smooth flowing storyline. The writing style was great and it's not short on steam.

I really loved Josey and Will. They were both really quirky, and fun to read. You get invested in these two pretty quickly. Their relationship starts off very awkwardly. By the end, it blossoms into a tender and adorable romance.

Josey is very easy to like. Yes, obviously she has her own flaws, but overall she was an endearing character. She is a straight talker to the point of bluntness, socially awkward and funny. I found myself rooting for her, I adored her quirky personality.

Will is private, reserved and stoic, he also is considerate and sweet. He’s someone who puts others before him, and I loved that about him. His kindness, selflessness and generosity really made him an incredibly likeable hero. He is a famous athlete and the media is making him out to be a sexual deviant because he is into voyeurism. He needs a roommate to keep him on the straight and narrow, to keep him busy and distracted and it shows how lonely he is despite being a celebrity.

Without giving too much away I must say that I became totally enamored with these two and the time they spent together and the intimate moments they shared. They feel comfortable around one another.

This was a super sweet, light and easy to read romantic comedy that takes you on a journey to Josey and Will’s happily ever after. I quite enjoyed it!

I really liked The Varlet and the Voyeur. Take this with a grain of salt, because I am not the typical reader of these authors’ books. I love some, and don’t make it past the sample on others. I wasn’t interested in the first two of this series, but I thoroughly enjoyed The Cad and the Coed. Right, with that disclaimer out of the way...

I was worried that the whole book would continue as it started, with Josey being a screwup that is always looked upon with scorn or pity. That was absolutely not the case, and I thought it was well balanced between Josey’s personal growth, seeing her through Will’s eyes, but still keeping her true to her unique character. I loved the chemistry between Josey and Will, and although some complain about their immature behavior, they are in fact immature and have very little experience with relationships. Their fears were quite understandable to me.

One point I do agree with other critics on is the entire premise of the book, all the fuss around Will’s voyeurism. I couldn’t wrap my head around it. I just don’t see how this would be an issue that would affect the team. Perhaps I read too many books, but I found it supremely unshocking, and the lamest thing ever for everyone to get on his case about. However, I really liked Josey and Will together, and for me chemistry is what matters most when I read, so I was able to ignore it and enjoy seeing the relationship develop into something beyond roommates, friends, or sexual partners.

I also loved the epilogue. Sweetest thing ever.

I'm fully convinced anything Penny Reid writes is absolute gold. I've still yet to read one of L.H. Cosway's solo efforts — I do own tons of them, I just need to make the time to read — but I echo my earlier sentiments in relation to the books they co-author. I've loved each and every one of the Rugby books so far and The Varlet and the Voyeur was no exception. It was funny, sexy and gave me plenty of the feels I want when I read.

I can't even lie, I freaking loved Josey. I want to be friends with her in real life. She was (at times, unintentionally) hilarious and awkward and absolutely amazing. She was so very relatable in so many ways. I also liked how she owned her sexuality. More of this, please. Will was pretty much fantastic in his own right, too. Swoons for days with this guy. I wasn't sure I'd be totally onboard with him because, well, the voyeurism thing is a bit of a turnoff for me. BUT, there was so much more to Will than this sexual preference. I couldn't have been more wrong about him.

Josey and Will's friends with benefits to more romance totally worked for me. I loved getting to know each character and spending time inside their heads made the story that much richer. I especially enjoyed getting to know more about Will, who was pretty closed off and secretive. Seeing him open up to Josey made me happy. Their banter was top notch, their chemistry intense, their journey not without bumps — which made it realistic, and their connection solid. I loved every little thing about this book.

Just when Josey Kavanagh has finally figured out what the wants to be when she grows up, a veterinarian, her parents tell her it is time for her to move out. They have decided to sell their home and downsize. They also feel it is Josey’s chance to spread her wings and get out on her own. Josey does not take it well, packs up, and walks out the door. She temporarily lands at her best friend Eilish’s home.

William Moore is known as the All-American good guy on the Irish Rugby team. Recent events have exposed his extracurrilars to the public. William likes to watch: specifically couples having sex. Now, William needs a roommate. He does better when he has a friend stay with him; it curbs his behavior. Josey needs a place to say and William needs a keeper. These two meet and William finds Josey’s unfiltered honesty refreshing and hires her.

This is Josey’s chance to work on her social skills and make some money. She is also awkward around hot guys. William is lonely. He is looking for human interaction and Josey quickly charms him. These two click right away. They both find comfort and a sense of belonging when they are together. However, William has a real hard time reading situations and Josey is trying to stay cool and collected. They have some hurdles to get over but overall their journey was sweet and sexy. I enjoyed the last book in the Rugby series and will miss the Cosway/Reid partnership.

Sometimes I truly wonder what goes on in these ladies’s head. Just starting with the word Varlet. Not something that would easily come up in everyday conversation, at least not for me, but our main character Josey has an interest in old, barely used words. This is now her new job title as companion to rugby player Will.

Now Will was supposedly the nice guy of the team. Though it seems everyone has some guilty pleasures. A total PR nightmare, so he believes one of the best ways to curb his extracurriculars is to not live alone. That is where Josey comes into play. These two are very much opposites. As Will is organised, quiet, has his life in order, succesful… Meanwhile Josey’s life is rather one big disaster, the term verbal diarrhoea seems to have been invented for her, and chaos is her middle name.

The Varlet and The Voyeur might be the funniest book in the series. Josey’s antics will crack you up. The dynamic between her and Will is a slow simmer waiting to boil over. They’re both pretty easygoing people so living together goes quite well. Their interactions are fun, flirty, and end up being quite sexy. That road to happily ever after is never as smooth as you would like, but extremely entertaining for us to read. A wonderful conclusion to the series, and I sure hope this isn’t the last collaboration between Penny Reid and L.H. Cosway

And thus, my friends, the legendary series of Rugby comes to an end.

I love, I mean luuuurve Penny Reid. she happens to be an awesome author. She also happens to be an evil genius and an all around amazing and kind person.

I do not know much or actually anything at all about L. H. Cosway. Though that will be remedied soon enough.

as ashamed as I am to admit, I do not notice such big differences between a Reid book and a Cosway & Reid book, writing style wise, to be honest. which draws me to the conclusion, the two probably have a really similar writing style. so awesome.

Anyway, with The Varlet and The Voyeur the Rugby series comes to an end. Here, we get to fall in love with the super quirky and awkward Josey and the honourable (closet weirdo) William.

The attraction between them was soldering hot, sizzling off the pages. The humour was great, just like every other book in the series.
Moreover, the topics (issues?) the two had to deal with were unique.

which is really what I love most about this series. it is about love, but it is also about some weird people going through some inconvenient and uncommon stuff.
The Hero and the Heroine are both quirky in their own way. I absolutely love it!

my only complaint is that this is goodbye.

I recieved an ARC from Penny Reid in exchange for an honest review. that didn't stop me from purchasing the book.

I thought I really enjoyed this one, I really did. But then I tried to participate in a conversation regarding the book and I was not able to support that opinion, which shocked me. So I went back to my notes and realized I was a little too blinded by my love for the authors and the other books in the series and I fooled myself into thinking it was love.

I really enjoyed the previous books in this series and was looking forward to this one. It’s not that I didn’t like this one, I just don’t like it as much as the others. I like the characters enough. I like the premise enough. I like the banter and witty thoughts enough. But I just liked them. Nothing really stood out to me as great, but it was enjoyable. Be warned: it sounds like people are torn on this one. It might be a love it or hate it sort of relationship.

There are a few things that seemed a little too bizarre even in this series’ world. Things that just felt a little…I want to say forced or convenient, but that’s not right. Too far-fetched? Too naïve? Too unbalanced? I don’t know. I can’t find just the right word but not everything flowed like I’m used to from these two authors.

In the end, I enjoyed it but didn’t love it. It’s my least favorite in the series but I don’t feel like it was time wasted. Can I recommend this book? Yes, but know it’s not for everyone and not quite up to par for the series.

The Varlet and Voyeur is an incredibly cute and fun story, filled with interesting characters.

William and Josey are fun and engaging characters. Joesy is often awkward, spewing randomness out into the void, and it only gets worse when she is nervous. Like William, I found it completely endearing. What I love most about her character is her unequivocal acceptance of others, and her need to fiercely protect those who matter to her. William is a pretty closed off character in the beginning, and it becomes apparent why as his character is developed. I do wish the Voyeur aspect of his character would have been a bit stronger and carried throughout the story. His insecurities, though, and the way he loves Josey make him a lovable character.

The Varlet and the Voyeur is impeccably written and paced well. The relationship evolution allows these two to naturally progress from strangers to friends to more. The one thing that I wanted, though, is not have so much focus on miscommunication or unwillingness to be honest about feelings. The ending, however, is absolutely swoon-worthy and the perfect finale for these two.

This has been such a fantastic series. I love all the cameos from the couples past, and it is the perfect send off with its light and sexy storyline.

You’re not nobody. You’re everything to me!”

The fourth and final book in the INCREDIBLE Rugby series by one of my favorite writing duos is here and I’m happy and sad all at the same time. If you are a MAJOR FAN of this series than you know that you will have no choice but to fall in love with THE VARLET AND THE VOYEUR! If you’re a newbie to the series…WELCOME! Man, are you in for one hell of a treat! If you love smart, relevant, emotional, sweet, and sexy romances, then you are going to embrace Will and Josey with open arms and open hearts!

This is categorized as a romantic comedy and of course, this is something that these ladies do best. But it’s so much more than that. There is a realness to the plot and the characters that just capture your heart from the very beginning. Josey’s a freaking mess, but she owns it. Will has secrets but he can’t seem to close himself off completely to the spitfire that is his new roommate. I loved this couple! I adored their journey! There were lots of laughs, a few tears, and definitely TONS of feels all throughout! I’m absolutely brokenhearted to say goodbye to these characters and this series, but I can only hope that these two authors aren’t totally done with us yet!

At 26, extremely pampered by her doting parents, Josey suddenly finds herself looking for a roof over her head and a job to support her studies. She just happens to be in the right place at the right time when a famous rugby player is in desperate need of a care taker... or rather a voyeurism abstinence sponsor! Oh, yeah... you read that right! This Romantic Comedy is going to knock you off your feet and have you rolling on the ground peeing in your pants throughout the entire novel! You will fall in love and simply adore the heroine's vociferous gene which results in constant verbal dysentery and her inability to lie... stating facts in an extremely uncomfortable level! But it seems that William Moore, who is exceptionally stoic, serious, stern in his beliefs and believes in complete structure, actually NEEDS a person just like Josey who is incapable of censoring her thoughts. This novel was an absolute joy ride, highly entertaining and so darn sweet. 5+ Insane Stars for a respectable, honest couple who are so different... one with his rules, expectations and boundaries while the other has no comprehension of social rules, does the weirdest things without realizing it... yet together they are a match made in Voyeur Heaven!

Aww, William, you sweet, sweet man. You set rules and have expectations and despite that people let you down. I feel for you, Will. I feel for you.

Josey is the insane hurricane who blows into his life at the right time. She's chaotic and talkative and her social skills are a leeeetle bit iffy. But all that works for Will. He needs someone to keep him from doing his thing. Which isn't a bad thing, mind you, but it's a bit of a PR mess for the team.

Hence Josey.

So Josey's a mess and Will's kinda digging it. But their situation isn't the most ideal for starting a relationship. Even after both of them realize they *might* be having those feeeeeelings for one another.

Man, I like people who deny their feelings. They're so ridiculously stubborn about it. Stubborn and afraid of getting hurt. Poor guys.

Anyway. Will and Josey. I like them. I liked seeing Will's teammates and their special lady friends. Heck, I just like this series. It's fun and sexy and full of surprises.

Will is not your typical arrogant playboy athlete. He is a country boy from the US who is playing on an Irish rugby team and he is the perfect role model for both his teammates and his fans except for one little secret that could destroy everything.

Josey is 26 and her parents have decided it is time for their duckling to go out on her own. She is quirky, close to her parents and more comfortable at home than in social settings.

Will needs a roommate to keep him on the straight and narrow and Josey needs a room so when a fellow teammate suggests they team up it seems like a match made in heaven. Although they may be very different there is no denying the chemistry between them. Let the games begin!

Will not only accepts Josey’s quirks he enjoys them and although their personalities are night and day they balance each other to perfection. I am sorry to see this series end, but the finale sends it off with a bang and I hope these two authors team up again in the future. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Will and Josey were well suited for each other they both were...odd, or I should say they both have their odd tendencies. Josey was just so cute, the girl took awkward to a whole new level, “well, tampons are very light, so I had no problem carrying the bags. I wouldn’t usually buy so many, but these are never on sale , and they’re the ones I prefer because they’re—” Josey is a sharer, girl likes to offer an abundance of information even if it's to much, “this is fun. I love buy one, get one. It’s literally my favorite thing in the world, other than my dog. And clean underwear. And indoor plumbing. And beds. I really love beds.” As much as I loved Will, Josey made this book freakin entertaining, “you are a sexy male!” I blurted, and then squeezed my eyes shut. Da**it! “I mean, you’re just very man-like. And sexy. You’re definitely a man, obviously, but you’re also a very . . . sexy man. Who is very male.” I really liked thow book, I fell in love with Will and Josey.

I loved this book, another crazy funny romance, with a meeting of minds and bodies. This is based in Ireland, with a rugby player with an image problem.
Josey 25 and training to become a vet, and still lives at with her parents, with them paying her tutoring fees. Unfortunately her parents need to downsize and sell their house, so Josey needs somewhere to live and to find a job.
When Will and Josey are introduced to see if they would be able to help each other. I loved Josey, some of the things she would come out with. Will was enchanted right from the beginning.
This was a must read, if you love a bit of sexy with a side dish of crazy this is the book for you. I have enjoyed this series so much, so I am so sad this is the last in the series. This can be read as a standalone, told from dual pov, which is my favourite way of reading. So this is definitely a 5 star read for me.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I must admit that initially I thought Will was stiff, ackward and boring. I'm used to the alpha male in these stories taking charge and knowing what they want. I still feel Wills inability to have a normal relationship with a woman without demanding a commitment made him seem desperately needy and insecure which I didn't care for and distracted from the progression of the story. Even so , I felt the author has created an imperfect hero that felt as deeply as women are stereotypically portrayed. Emotional and quick to expect promises. What I loved was that Joyce's character was the perfect balance she made him appear normal through her humor and easy manner. The hero's thoughts were so beautifully written. You really felt his appreciation for Joyce as a woman, as a friend. I felt emotionally charged when I read his anxious thoughts and the sexual tension was devine. I was the edge of my seat praying she felt the say way. Excellent.

This is the story of Will, an american rugby player playing in Ireland. He's nice, well behaved, extremely polite and works for charities. A real gem of a guy, at least until some very private information comes to light, threatening to ruin his reputation.

Josey is extremely loyal, has no brain-to-mouth filter and usually says the wrong thing, always bordering the limits of too much information. Also, she's been informed by her parents that they are going to sell the house the three of them live in, so she needs to find somewhere to live really soon.

Common friends introduce Josey to Will, and they reach an agreement that suits them both: she gets a place to live, and he gets a "babysitter".
But what happens when the rules of their agreement are not enough?

I really enjoyed this book. Whenever Penny Reid is involved in a story, we get smart characters, with wonderful conversations and a good touch of weirdness that makes them adorable. Even if the premise is somehow predictable, I love how they develop feelings for each other, even if their decissions were quite frustrating sometimes.

Now I'll go read the rest of the books in this series.

I have LOVED this series ever since I stumbled across The Hooker and the Hermit..... I do have to be honest and say that I was a little unsure due to the title but once I read the book it made sense to me. And that goes for all the books since. Since than I’ve been anticipating Will Moore getting his own book, and it did NOT disappoint!!! I just LOVED the quirkiness of Josey who brought out a more relaxed side of Will. I started this book around 1am last Friday night/Saturday morning and stayed up until 4:30am reading it! I ended up awake much earlier than I planned on a Saturday after being up half the night reading to get back to these characters. And I finished it Saturday afternoon and was at a loss on what to do with myself after. I’m going to miss all these characters, hopefully L.H. Cosway & Penny Reid choose to revisit these characters. Great read, well worth the loss of sleep!

This quirky and endearing romantic comedy is truly one of a kind — even its title is unforgettablely chimerical. Will and Josey are two characters you’ll fall HARD for, because they’re utterly unique and unconventional but also wonderfully relatable. Together, they are magical. Will’s stoic, serious and compassionate personality is the yin to Josey’s yang of loquaciousness, guilelessness and charming awkwardness. As they fall in love, they help each other to appreciate and accept their OWN idiosyncrasies, which they previously considered flaws, and seeing their evolution as a couple and as individuals is heartwarming. The Varlet and the Voyeur is a distinctive, sharply funny and emotionally satisfying character-driven romance with a premise that is equal parts gratifyingly conventional and gloriously peculiar.

What a fantastic story! I was completely enthralled by Will and Josey’s journey. A sweet romance with a slow and steady build. I absolutely loved the way the relationship between these two grew and changed throughout. I was smitten.
Josey was such a fun and interesting character. I loved how open and honest and funny she was. She really brought life to the story. Will’s reserved nature and interests made him quite intriguing. Together they were entertaining and exciting. They made me laugh, swoon, and even tear up.
This is my first book by these two and after reading it, I’ll definitely be going back and reading the others in the series!

I loved Will & Josey!
This is my absolute favourite book in the "Rugby" series by Penny and Lorraine.
I totally connected with Will & Josey (let's face it, Will's fetish was HOT!)
I loved their connection, their relationship, their awkward attraction to one another, and finally their "epiphany" moment.

This book was a funny, smart romantic story.
Loved it!

I love love love these two. William and Josey stole my heart.
William, the quieter and more serious of the bunch, has a secret that's now been revealed..so he needs someone to watch over him.
Enters Josey...she cracks me up without even trying tho I felt for her at times..she is open, honest, caring, quirky, awkward..with verbal diarrhoea lol
They start out as friend and roommates but when views and opinions start to change that's when the fun starts!
I adored them..no other word for it!
I think I loved it so much because William is not perfect either and Josey is just so adorable.

Josie is an immature young lady who still lives with her parents st the beginning of this story. To say she is socially awkward would be an understatement.

Will is a big, sexy rugby player who is caught up in a huge scandal. Will needs someone to live with him who is honest and open with him to help him control his demons.

Josie and her filterless mouth are just what Will needs. Together they both get better and each helps the other in many ways.

This is a really interesting story with s lot of cool characters. Add this book to your reading list.

Fantastic story. Laughed so much.

Will is a rugby player he loves the game but has a secret that is about to be announced to the world via the tabloids. His teammates decide he needs a roommate, someone to keep an eye on him, he doesn’t expect what happens next though.

Josey is down on her luck; her parents have basically kicked her out of home and she has no way to pay for college and a house to live in so when her best friend offers up a solution she jumps at the chance. I mean how hard can it be to live with a rugby player?

These two have some hilarious conversations and the chemistry is off the charts but they both seem to keep their feelings to themselves. Can they admit their feelings before it is too late?

This book had an interesting premise.

Josey is adorable in all her awkwardness. I found her so real and relatable.

Will is very calm and stoic. He's handsome and gentlemanly.

I loved reading about the relationship they formed and the progression of it.

Lots of miscommunication but it was realistic.

Ending was sweet.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It was sweet. Some parts felt liked it dragged but it was great in the end.

To say these two authors write seamlessly is an understatement. I love the character building and emotion. I think one of the reasons why I enjoy these so much is that the characters could be real. They are flawed, with thought provoking ideas and world views. Between the realness of the characters, mixed in with extraordinary scenarios, I always come away with a laugh and a smile after finishing these books.

The ”Rugby” series is one of my favorites. I truly love the individual works by both L.H. Conway and Penny Reid, but when they write together, it’s pretty fantastic. Each Heroine in this series seems to be quirky but it only adds to their endearing personalities. Josey and Will’s story will start off a bit unconventionally but I am sure that fans of these authors and this series will really enjoy this one.

So unique. A completely different kind of story line. Characters that are totally atypical. Cosway and Reid are wonderful together. They’re able to take a (slightly weird) unusual heroine and a (Not your everyday) new kind of hero and make me fall in love with them. Their relationship had a completely organic feel to it and they’ve become one of my ew favorite couples.

Oh my goodness, I seriously have not laughed this much or unable to stop laughing in such a long time. They are both feel awkward in situations... and who can’t relate! It’s so relatable, yet so hilarious! They have so much chemistry and bring out the best in each other! You have to read it! I can’t wait to read it again!!!

Absolutely charmed by this final installment of the RugbyBook series! This pair (Josey and William) were perfectly imperfect together. Extra points for the use of combine harvester (safety first!). One of my favorite quirks was the use of historical English words Josey and her dad used for their Forgotten Word of the Day tradition!
