I enjoyed and grew to love the characters in this installment as I have with all the characters in ASOV Saga. However, with this installment it seems that Bella is focusing more on romantic relationships rather adventure, suspense and action. It might seem that way because all the main characters are falling in love and the detailing of each relationship dominates the story. There are 4 developing relationships and each interaction is so similar that its almost a repeating of scenes. Whereas prior installmens there were only 1 to 2 main love interest and more adventure, suspense and action. I really enjoy the relationship building, the chase, desire, love and fighting for the forever after. Bella is terrific at that, but it's just a little too much and not enough of her usual action packed Shade adventure that she ALWAYS knocks out the park! I hope it's not an issue of too many irons in the fire and ASOV is a casualty of that, because ASOV is such a great story and I would rather see it end fantastically on a high note, instead of uneventful. I'm still a fan and always will be! Looking forward to book 47!

Another great book who would have guessed that a few years back that the shade collection would be on its 46th book...that is amazing .... I thank Bella Forrest for opening our minds to this awesome story line....totally recommend

Easy to read and get into! Great storyline even though the author had a bit of trouble in the beginning of the series not repeating herself. But so worth it! Character development is amazing! Kinda wish she had more of the “happy” parts also, not jumping 17-20 years in a go, dude parenting is hard, and half supernatural kids... whole different series right there, lol! Love the books!!!!!!!

I really do like this series, obviously to read 46 books I have had to have liked it quite a bit. Unfortunately this last "season" has been dragging slightly. It follows the same pattern as all the others and while it is interesting and the characters are multifaceted and complex (although not as well done as in some of the other seasons) the storyline is a bit boring and it seems to never end. Of course that could also be because I've had to wait for these books to come out and the first 42 were already written and ready to be read - so that might have something to do with it. Overall this is a great series but it is starting to drag a bit.
