Pros:
You get to see well known characters interact together in ways you don't normally get.
You get a personalized summation of how those characters feel about Garrosh and his deeds in Pandaria, which adds depth to the gameplay experience.
You get to see Anduin be a badass.
Cons:
Fairly slow story, and a pretty obvious one at that.
Bottom line: I felt like I was waiting for the story to happen, and it happened only in the last few pages and ultimately left me disappointed. If you're bored, need a summer book, and won't notice the $$ spent missing from your account by all means pick it up, it still has some entertainment value. If you're tight on cash I can genuinely say you won't be missing much, and maybe you should buy a sammich instead.
Let's be honest, Warcraft books aren't known for their compelling plots and storytelling, but I still get a kick out of reading them for whatever reason. Probably the lore, and more recently the backstories behind xpacs. I gotta say this is not Golden's best, and indeed is one of the weaker of all Warcraft books. This may be because the author was hindered by how much they could reveal or do, and maybe the true story will play out in the upcoming pre-launch and xpac events.
**My dislike of this book is likely heightened by my impatience for the xpac** I can't wait for the story we'll see, so this was probably more frustrating than it needed to be.

Pretty alright book all in all just a following of garrosh getting prosecuted and defended... And cool stuff with sylvannus. I thought it was pretty poor writing though how the celestials didn't care that garrosh escaped because they woulda let him live regardless of what happened at the trial. Letting him live is one thing letting him escape, live freely and kill more people isn't.
The quality of the actual physical book was good.

Although the outcome of the book is mostly common knowledge, the leading-up-to is very entertaining. There are quite a few plot twists and unexpected relationship developments throughout the novel. I wouldn't say that it's Goldens best, it is a very good read. I especially enjoyed some of the life lessons within the book - though I personally am not a fan of the fate of the antagonist.

In the waiting period before the game's next expansion, I was extremely excited to read this bridging book in prep for what is to come. This book in no way disappointed me! This novel is just as perfect for the person who has read all the WoW novels as it is for someone just starting with War Crimes. Read it, and read it now!

A truly satisfying read is not common but golden has done it for me in this book. Previously I'd been left unsatisfied by her other book in this series: Arthas but she seems to have grown into the world of Azeroth and truly brings out the glorious characters within

I enjoyed this book. It gave an indepth look into the events after the Seige of Orgrimar. It also describes flashbacks into past lore and events from both books and in-game events. It's a pretty quick read and will lead you right up to the Warlords of Dreanor expansion.

A very different novel than the expected "travel back in time with a hero and see events you never played" scenario that is common with WoW books. Here we get to see an interesting approach that I don't think we've seen in Fantasy fiction before, Court Room Drama. And it works

Twists and turns await the reader of Christie Golden's latest novel. She masterfully ties in not only scenes we players are familiar with, but player customs and community concerns. Simply put, you not only feel a part of this book, but you can easily feel it interacting directly with you .

Arrived on time, the day the book was released and in mint condition. I really enjoyed the story and is a great read for those interested in World of Warcraft lore, especially the events leading up to the Warlords of Draenor expansion.

An underwhelming tale of betrayal, deceit and deep seeded malignancy. Christie Golden, yet again, puts the lore to such a test that the overall thread of events feels bland and boring. While the events between the sacking of Orgrimmar and the journey to old Draenor are exciting and thrilling, Christie's writing just doesn't do it justice.

I love Golden's writing style. She brings each character to life in her writing. I honestly felt like I was at Garrosh's trial and witnessing each event unfold. Read it so fast I didn't realize it was over.

I do not write reviews.... ever. But this book made me fall in love with the game again. Absolutely love the book and the story. I had already heard spoilers online, and was still engaged throughout the entire book.

Greatly enjoyed this.
Fans of the series will see many notable persons on both sides of the war, in both factions.
Book places great emphasis on the morality of Garrosh's actions, and cast into doubt the absolution of his crimes.

This was a very pleasant surprise. Grabbed my attention from the first page, and couldn't put it down.
Any fantasy fiction reader will enjoy this, but WoW players absolutely must read before Warlords of Draenor drops this fall.
I am off to get the rest of Christie Golden's books!
Happy reading!
