I would have never imagined merging what feels like a fantasy novel with that of a science fiction novel but O. S. Card does it wonderfully. His incredibly engaging writing style and articulate prose seamlessly combine to create yet another imaginative world of what could be. As with all of his previous series, I could not be more impressed!

Very interesting details about time travel workings. I like the characters, and am looking forward to what happens after the 2 separate tales being told finally merged. I didn't see a big twist and liked the surprise!

Card has a way of inventing new realities and intimately exploring how those realities would work. He also has genius for dialog and moving plots forward.
I really enjoyed this Fantasy, turned SCI-fi adventure from Card, and am looking forward to the rest of the series!

A wonderful beginning to the trilogy. Not only is the adventure most imaginative, the delving into the psychology of the characters is fascinating as well. I've always enjoyed Orson Scott Card's books, and this one is a must read who is a fan of Mr. Card

Excellent time travel story. An attempt to pass through a worm hole sends a spaceship back in time 11k years. Mankind advances significantly, and a boy named rigg and some friends have the ability to manipulate time.

Just listening to his characters shooting the bull is fun.. You may think it is irrelevant but it will make sense when you reach a later portion of the tale. Luckily the next book in the trilogy is all ready available and you do not have to wait here.

Excellent as usual. Easy read, fast pace, keeps you guessing with unexpected plot twists and interesting characters. As usual, he sees the best and worst humanity has to offer and makes us hope for the best.

Well written and enjoyable! I was at first put off by two sets of stories-one that was sci fi and the other that seemed like it was from the fantasy genre. Both were compelling enough that I trusted the author to see me through. Glad I did-enjoyed it!

Once again Card has taken his profound views of the world and the direction he would like to see humanity go, imbued it with sophistication and beauty, and stitched it deeply into this rich and unknown novel. You would be hard pressed to find more brilliance and understanding of people from another author. Amazing ideals, ideas and a fluent and capturing storyline are more of this books achievements. Well done!

I enjoy Orson Scott Cards writing. Pathfinder is fairly typical in that it takes a bit to fall into all of the characters, but once the story gets started those characters are very well developed. I love the story line and am eager to read the next. I highly recommend Pathfinder.

Very good story and characters were great. What I liked was authors explanation of a very complicated theory, broken down into small increments, so information could be absorbed. I am truly looking forward to reading the rest of series.

It was pretty good, although I enjoyed his Bean/Hegemon series much more than this. I liked listening to this on audible more than reading it on my kindle, it was easier to follow. Lots of tedious time travel logic that gets annoying sometimes.

The beginning really hooked me and through most of the book I enjoyed the relationship with the characters and they're new found abilities. As I approached the middle of the book things became confusing and a little hard to follow. The ending was unsatisfying and left you hanging. Not my favorite read.

Mr. Card is, obviously, well known for his amazing writing, this has not changed. The story is very different from the Ender series but, in my opinion, equally creative and good. I love it and hope, fervently, to see a sequel (or 10).

I really appreciate Card's writing and characters. I think he does a great job when he is writing about time travel and the many ramifications of it. Amazing given that no one has actually done it yet. Wonderful imagination based in what could be real. Made me buy the next one. They take me away to a happy place.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The character of Rigg may be my favorite character OSC has created since Bean. He seems very genuine in is decisions and choices in the book.
Although several of the main characters are children. I think the content is something tat all science fiction fans will enjoy.
I can not wait to read the next installment in the series.

The usually witty and original story Iine from Orson Scott Card. I am in a quandary as to weather to follow up reading the sequel. The targeted audience seems to be youthful, but concepts involved would appear to be aimed at a more mature audience. Either way I always enjoy this authors writing .

Amazingly written, it was a delight to read it again. OSC moves his stories along without compromising the intelligence of the characters. I can't recommend this book enough. It was interesting and thought provoking at every turn. Read this!

I found it somewhat confusing and convoluted compared to his previous books. His attempts to portray quantum phenomena through time shifts was interesting, but the plot sometimes got lost in the process.

I loved the characters, introducing the new characters and what role they may play as the story unfolds it just became more and more intriguing. I cannot wait to start reading book two. I only regret not reading this novel years ago.

This is a typical Orson Scott Card book, which is not to say it's a typical book at all. It's different, a fresh look on a relatively simple story. I would recommend it for anyone interested in Card, Science Fiction or Fantasy.

I assumed that the characters would remain in the same primitive setting that opens the story for the duration of the novel. Instead, Card's story is very detailed and full of surprises- I was excited to start the next novel and be blown away again. My only critique is that while it is a page turner, it does take a while for the plot to really materialize. Wonderful story and the side story of Rigg is excellent in itself.
