Charley remains a fun character, but the story arc feels more and more forced. I am not sure if the fun of the charActer can survive the predicable plot line. It was more fun when the focus was on solving crimes.

I love Charley Davidson - I live in Albuquerque so it's fun to hear about places that are near me. I like that it's a unique plot line - a grim reaper not a vampire or werewolf. The other characters in the book are great too.

Each book in the Charley series just keeps getting better and better. I loved the craziness of Charley (her one-liners kill me), but I also adore the fact the beneath all her sass and sarcastic remarks is a woman with a huge heart. She tries to find the good in everyone...even if they're a demon soul-sucker or the beautiful son of Satan.

You can't help but love Reyes. Charley's grounded him, bringing out more humanity in him the longer they're together. If anyone is his salvage the mess that is Reyes, it's Charley.

Fabulous, fabulous book with a jar dropper of an ending. Good thing we only need to wait six months for the next one.

I like the constant surprises when Charley is investigating & finds the use of powers she wasn't aware of previously. I love the humor & the self awareness of the characters. Cookie is amazing! Just great writing!

Awesome!!! Love all of the books in this series. Just wish they came out a little closer together. But I do enjoy starting at the first one every time a new one is being released. Charlie and Reyes are so cool together. It's also nice to read a series where the girl can be friends with other guys without sleeping with them and stay true to the one! Stay true Charlie!

Dang I love this series! Laughed outloud in public. Devoured it in 2-3 otherwise busy days...and the story continues. I may have to reread the series to tide me over until the next one as this tale is definitely not done.

Darynda Jones brings back the funny. In this latest book, Charley and her nigh fiance have multiple riddles/murders to solve. From a soul-stealing demon, to a book of prophecies Swopes got from hell to a naked dead man in Charley's jeep and who Angel actually is. There's quite a few more story lines that Charley must tie up but I'll let you read it and see for yourself.

Of course, every female with a pulse is hanging out at the bar to get a glimpse of the Son of Satan. I can relate to the silver foxes. BTW Charley, we prefer the term Cougar.

Two of my favorite quotes:
"Don't get any ideas about us, Swopes. I'm nigh affianced. And I only put out for coffee."

"With one corner of his mouth tipping sensually, he asked, "Want some coffee?" And I fell. I fell hard.

I love all the bumper stickers and T-shirt sayings. Always fun. I only have one piece of advice for you Charley. #marryhimalready

Funny, witty, fast paced, loaded with romance and action. The lovely Ms. Jones carries the reader through the crazy ADHD world of Charley and always leaves me wanting more. And I want it now. Great writing.

Charley and her avoidance... or is it ADHD..; the story continues as only Charley can do. No spoilers here, but the ending leaves a lot of questions to be answered. I cannot wait till the next book.

“No way. I have to know.” “Fine, but why a spork?” “Because I’m versatile. I can multitask like nobody’s business. And I like the way it sounds. It’s so … sporky.”

As sexy as that lopsided grin of his was, I was starting to get worried. I felt his forehead again. “Do you really have a fever?” “Ever since the first time I saw you.” I couldn’t help but giggle at that. “Seriously, Reyes. Are you feeling bad?” “Only when you’re not near me.” “Do you get sick?” “Every time we’re apart.” This was getting me exactly nowhere.

I turned to Garrett , grateful that he had my back. I was growing on him. I could tell. I was a lot like mold that way. “I can help,” I said, offering my services.

None of this series has been a disappointment. They never fail to make me laugh. As much as I like the series though I will be happy if the next book wraps it up. Exactly how long can the series be?

I always love Charley and Reyes. They always make me laugh. And don't forget Cookie. Charley was a little annoying this go round. Every time people try to help her with her gifts, she fights them. I can't wait until the next book after this ending.

I stumbled across this set by accident and bought all of them... Well all that are out. And as I read them I got pulled deeper and deeper into the world Darynda created so well. I set a new personal record six books in under three days. Keep them coming!!

I love me some Dutch and Reyes. Like seriously love them. Of course Reyes is his ever swoon worthy self. I'll have to reread this book in a few days because yum! As for Dutch, though she tends to bumble along, I like her hard headed charm. She is exactly what Reyes accuses of: caring too much. I imagine I'd let more than a few people roast for eternity. Overall, Charley is Charley. She gets things done in her own odd meandering way. I can't wait to see what's next. Also, more naked Reyes please! Yum yum.
More than anything I love Darynda's snarky humor that she infuses into each book. As for endings: no cliffhangers! Sweet mother I hate cliffhangers. This book wrapped up in a way that makes me want the next book like yesterday, but not turn me into a lunatic because the ending is so...dangling. I like a lot of things to dangle: earrings, charms from my bracelet, what's between Reyes' legs. Endings, not so much. Anyway, I can't wait to see what happens in Charley's crazy corner of the world next.

The perfect combination of mystery suspense and humor. The plot grows more complex and interesting with each book in the series unlike some which grow tiresome with formula repetition. I highly recommend this series.

The series sucks you in from any starting point. Each book has the power and depth to draw you in and from whatever book you start you will want to read the others or the next one. In depth plot, great character development easy read yet more substantial than a 'summer read' this book and story line will keep you turning the pages. ..
