I always wanted to know what happen behind closed doors in a hospital. I think I should change professions. I can feel the pain and frustration that Ben is struggling with. His question, "Why help those that won't help themselves?" Jessica to the rescue. But not until you want to cheat and read the end for fear they won't be able to overcome the pain. I didn't cheat and glad for that. It was an excellent book and had me laughing, crying and cheering.

Ben and Jessica two people trying their best to be what other people want them to be. Ben discouraged by life wanting to be a bad boy with no responsibility Jessica a former bad girl all about responsibility when they connect watch out inferno. This book was very hot and steamy. Romance and humour was spread throughout I never wanted it to end

Fun sexy contemporary from Erin Nicholas. The heroine, Jessica, has been walking the straight and narrow ever since her father died when she was twenty, leaving her to raise her younger brother and sister. She's an emergency room nurse and oozes responsibility, so she's the first one the hospital administration chooses to babysit hottie Dr. Ben Torres, who's just put the hospital at risk for a huge lawsuit by punching out a patient. Since Jess has been crushing on Ben for a while she's more than happy to comply. Until she realizes that formerly upstanding Ben is hell bent on tossing aside his respectability and being very, very bad. With her!

JUST RIGHT was a funny, sexy, entertaining read that could have veered off into preachy territory, but fortunately never did. With a colorful cast of characters including Jessica's siblings, the local paramedics and the staff of St. Anthony's Hospital, Nicholas has the great beginning to a series here.

I normally hate, hate, hate romance books. But I could not put this one down. This was actually the first romance novel that I have made it through. I figured since it was free I would try it.

I wanted to be Jessica so bad. The book was so well written that I could almost see everything in my head as though it were a movie. The book was hot, steamy, and Ben's character is so... what's the word I'm looking for... yummy. I need a man like that in my life lol. The details were helped to create a picture that made the story seem like it could really happen. I was happy that there was not to much detail that it got boring and annoying.

Every story has a slow part though. There were times that seemed to drag on. For instance, the sexual tension between the two characters. His constant persistence about having sex with her made him sound desperate, and her constant rejection of it got old after awhile. She wants to on the inside but says no.

All in all, this is a must read. Every book has it's downfall but I can see myself reading it again and again!!!!!

Well sorry to disagree with so many but this book did not do it for me at all. The great Doctor hero Ben and the firey nuse heroine Jessica were barely likeable and I wanted them to not end up together at the end.

The concept on the backcover sounded so good but Ben had some issues with saving people that did not want to save themselves and vacilated back and forth from one extreme to another with no middle ground. Jessica just didnt make any sense, the good girl who is realy a repressed bad girl was just not well written. and the supporting cast of dumb bunnies got their "loved ones" in trouble on purpose!? to the point of almost making their sister loose her job and yes she should up at work dressed liked a "pro" and they actually got arrested for parking and making out and everyone thought that was so funny to spread around about their "friends" at their places of work haha...Everyone new everyone elses busniess it seesm immediatley right after something happened and that just made no sense in the timeframes and situations alloted... They didnt forgive each other for the little things that were no big deal and completed forgave assinine behavior.

The book just didnt make sense to me. They both had dead parents who needed to be revived and slapped for how they handled their kids and as for the siblings if thats love I dont want it....

Just Right is Book #1 in the Bradfords series which is about three siblings (Jessica, Sam and Sara). I first read Book #3 (Just My Type which is Sara's story) because I had no idea it was part of a series. I loved Erin Nicholas' writing and humour so much that I immediately bought Book #1 and #2 and I knew that I would be in for a treat. And I was not disappointed!

Just Right is Jessica's story: she is the eldest sibling, who was once a rebellious teenager but who stepped up and raised her brother and sister after their father died when she was just around 20. Since then Jessica changed her ways and became the always reliable, serious and responsible older sister and perfect nurse. Her Saturday nights are spent either watching the TV, scrubbing her bathroom or washing laundry, until her office crush forsakes the respectable role of a responsible take charge doctor and spends his days in bars getting drunk and not having a care in the world.

Ben is the star surgeon at the clinic, however he feels his life is not satisfying anymore. His frustration and anger mounts every time when he sees a patient he cared for not doing their part in the recovery. Then one day he explodes when a man he saved a couple of weeks ago has a DUI accident and causes the death of a lot of innocent people. Ben gets suspended for some time after punching the guy, to cool off as his superiors say, but Ben doesn't have any intention to cool off. He's had it with the ER and the stupid careless patients and all the stress and worrying which go with being a doctor. So he goes on a self-destruction or should we say college boy rampage: he gets drunk, plays pool and flirts with women. Enters Jessica, whom her brother (who is also Ben's friend) asked to babysit Ben and make sure he doesn't get in trouble. And that's when lot of trouble ensues... (but just the kind that we readers love :-p)

Erin Nicholas' characterisation was great: not only were the two main characters interesting and layered, but she spent enough time and detail on the supporting cast to make them more than just mere props (I also can't wait to see them again in later books).

Ben is not simply a drop dead gorgeous doctor, but he is also a complex character and I loved Jessica peeling back his layers and getting to know more about his background and secrets.

The chemistry between Ben and Jessica is instant combustion, I dare you to read Just Right and not need a fan! :-p

And just one quote to give you a taste of the witty writing:

"And of course you had to scare them off with a dysfunctional penis story," he said, as if they were talking about the weather.
She smiled and lifted a shoulder. "First thing that came to mind."
"My penis is the first thing that came to mind?"

Cracks me up every time :-D

(you have to know this is kind of the very first dialogue these two share! lol)

Verdict: If you haven't read anything by Erin Nicholas yet, now is the time to pick up one of her books, I'm sure you'll have a great time :-)

Just Right by Erin Nicholas was nothing like I expected it to be. Honestly, I was geared up to read a pleasant but predictable story about an ER nurse and a doctor who worked too hard and just didn't see what was in front of them. Imagine my surprise when I found myself glued to this book because it was that darn good. The situation was complex but easy to relate to; each of the characters' personalities fit in perfectly plus, the sexual tension between Jessica and Ben was incredible. Overall, I was really pleased with the outcome and look forward to continuing the series.

Cute story if you're willing to completely suspend your logic and common sense for a few hours.
Discouraged by his medical practice after realizing that all his efforts can not save the world, Ben Torres, a trauma surgeon, punches a patient and is suspended from ER.
His friends and his boss, charge Jessica Bradford, the ER main nurse, to babysit Ben, stop him from drinking and get him back to work as soon as possible.
Jessica, an ex wild girl, tries her best to put Ben back on track.
I can't believe that anyone with a six-month experience in the medical field would act as this surgeon. Bad things happen all the time and the ER departments are the first in line to see the effects of human stupidity. Ditto for Jessica, who takes the whole of the book to see Ben as a normal person, with flaws and qualities and not a superhero.
For Ben to just want to have fun (i.e drinking, having sex and hold a job with little responsibilities) is childish. For Jessica to dress up with cowboy boots, short skirts and clinging tops to get his attention is demeaning. For them both to (almost) have sex in public places, well, at this point, their actions make so little sense it works with the rest of the plot.
This story would have worked better if the characters were teenagers and not the mature adults they are supposed to be.
