Laurann Dohner is a good writer and I was looking forward her new book. BUT it was not like the others from this series - that I recommend. She repeats herself too much. I felt like she was filing the pages with the same words over and over. It's okay if you have nothing better to do.

I really liked the book. Yeah, Alli was not bright for taking Obsidian and I do agree that the way Tiger and Justice's characters acted in this book seemed out of the normal it was overall a great book. I want to learn more about Jericho.....and Moon, and Shadow, and Brass and Smiley and Beastial and Jaded and Breeze and and and....

I love this story! It was heartbreaking, romantic, funny, everything you want in a book. I have read this story too many times to count. If you love the new species, you'll fall in love with this one!
Lorn (VLG Book 3) :: Haunting Blackie (Cyborg Seduction) (Volume 8) :: Justice (New Species Book 4) :: Loving Deviant (Cyborg Seduction Book 9) :: Kissing Steel (Cyborg Seduction Book 2)

Reading about these two and how difficult their bonding was made me so sad, but they are so beautiful together. I have new characters I can't stand, and I'm curious as to whether she will get to do her job again! A fantastic read!

I have always loved the new species seriously especially how the fight for freedom. And how they learn how to adapt in the world today. They learn compassion and love , but do so everybody understands. There are people who today wouldn't have half that understanding . They are truly amazing on what they do . Sorry for the rant. I really like the new species series and have read it several times and when the paycheck permit I buy one .

I have read many of Laurann Dohner's books, actually all of them and the New Species series is a fantastic group of stories that really pulls me into the story, makes me wish that people like them existed and I can't wait to read more of the books in this series as they come out. Obisidian is another great New Species personality and he makes my heart go out to him and the love he finds. What a powerful story.

Loved the book. The characters were exceptional and the plot held my interest to the last page. Might could have had a couple of scenes from during the time they were separated but then I'd have wanted more of everything any way. Love this book and this series.

I have enjoyed the New Species by author Laurann Dohner, very much. The characters well written, the plot made the story fun to read, and it made me excited to read any of her other series. I have friends who like to read the same authors I do. I would suggest this author to them without any worry.

Like many of the reviewers, I was really looking forward to another New Species book and was pretty disappointed. The whole thing seemed rushed, contrived and desperate. It just wasn't the same quality at all. I hope Shadow will be better. I'd hate to see this series deteriorate.

The was a great addition to an already great series. I liked both leads in the book and the writing style was very good. I did have some problems with the editing. There was several places toward the end where sentences just did not make since. after two time it is annoying. Other wise great read.

Dr. Allison Baker has a creepy fixation on one of her coma patients and is disturbed when it's decided that the patient should be taken off life support. Acting like the rational and professional doctor she is, Allison decides to kidnap her coma patient and hide out with him at a cabin in the woods. Luckily for her, Allison's crack-pot idea of how to wake her patient works and he develops a fixation on her.

I clearly have a problem. Every time I pick-up one of these New Species books I know that the main characters and inevitable kidnapping/rape attempt of the heroine is going to annoy me... and yet I can't seem to stop reading this series. The writing can get repetitive and Dohner has a habit of telling and not showing that drives me nuts. But I just can't stop reading these books. This series clearly has some kind of mystical power over me because despite my multiple hang-ups with the stories I'm still looking forward to reading the next one.

Even more great characters get introduced in this latest book.  A wonderful follow up that had main characters we had met briefly before. perfect love story that made you fall in love with the newest species couple.  Now I can only hope to se books with Flame, Jericho, and Moon.

Laurann Dohner has a writing style that just grabs me from page one. Also, even though this series is long she has not fallen into a rut with it. I cant stand when a series repeats plots or problems. It is still very fresh and original.

Another alpha male falls in love, but this time it's not the usual save the damsel in distress!
Really wished this story could go on and on.
Could not put it down.
Still Valiant and Tiger rank #1

Laurann Dohner's done it again. Her New Species series never disappoints. When looking for some excitement and passion I can always find it there. He's as dark as his name suggests, but that won't stop the passion and love building between them. I can't wait for her next installment to her New Species series.

LOVE, LOVE this series.

New species males give new meaning to the term alpha male.
Obsidian was in danger death and Allie is willing to do anything to save him even risking her job and her freedom to save his life.

overall I loved the book. although there were a few areas that I didn't like, it still soothed the new species craving I had. the ending was abrupt though, like she got a case of writers block and just finished it off to satisfy the fans. the one thing that bothered me was how similar NSO was to Mercile in their effort to rehabilitate, or put an end to Obsidian. apart from that, an excellent few hours spent. Five stars!!

I loved this series you can read them separately but in order to get the best out of the books you should really read the whole series and after you read one of them you want to read the whole thing anyway.

Another good one from author. Follow the New Species Series because it is great. Already looking forward to the new one. Great books all around. It's a must read. Characters are great and the books have everything from a good story line that you actually feel for the characters. Strong males and the women who try to tame them, which does not always work. You won't be disappointed.
