It's one of those books that changes people/places frequently, so you have to be willing or able to regroup and remember who belongs to which plot line. But it's WELL worth it. Great book, and one of my favorites by this author!

All of his books are manipulative and contrived but the best of his books such as Gone For Good, Tell No One and especially the terrific Promise Me and No Second Chance are a mile a minute roller coaster thrill rides of excitement. Even though you know you've been had at the end the journey was well worth it. This book however feels as if I've read it before and the non stop familly entanglements would be better suited for a TV soap then a mystery thriller. Skip this and read the others. Note to Harlen the villianess in No Second Chance was a great character. I hope to see more of her and maybe even a book built around her.

Just like all his other books... which could be good or bad depending on if you like them. I usually devour them in a single day, but I need a palette cleanser before reading anything else by HC or I'll get bored of the formula.

Hold on tight for this Harlan Coben story!!! As with all of his books, he grabs you from the beginning and you end up reading faster and faster and faster till the last word, where you feel elated that you've finished but then comes the "I can't believe I'm finished!" Awesome read!! I recommend this book to all who love mystery and suspence!!! Hold tight!

Harlan Coben does not disappoint and is one of my favorite authors. Hold Tight is a family love story filled with intrigue, murder, mystery and current electronic apps, along with current society problems. Well done, Mr. Coben!

There are many reviews detailing the major premise of this novel so I won't attempt another. I'll simply say that with this novel, Harlan Coben continues to weave multiple sub-plots into a great story. I've never been disappointed with any of Coben's novels and would recommend all of them to anyone looking for a great story.

"Hold Tight" has all the appeal of the typical Harlan Coben novels but it is expecially riveting because the contemporary dilemma he presents of drugs, technology and our children. It is terrifying. This real nightmare is made more believable by his standard use of real places in New Jersey

In this quickly moving, easy-to-read book, the author juggles many characters and two main plot lines that are only vaguely connected. Principally, we have a psychotic killer of women and a situation of a teenage suicide and a wayward son. Eventually there are explanations and resolutions, somewhat hinging on rather precocious eleven year olds.
In this book, the author disappointingly demonstrates little interest in personal and family issues and situations outside of the main line of action. The author does touch on the issues of parents' surveillance of their teenagers and the awkward situation where a parent is unknowingly not a biological parent, yet a donor kidney is needed. However, the development of all such topics is minimal, at best.
I'm not sure that the author has ever really recaptured the pace and tone of his earlier Simon Bolivar series, though that is a fairly high standard.

I really like Coben's plots, but his stories tend to get dragged out. For example, here's a typical style of paragraph (without plagiarizing):
Sweat beaded on his brow as he looked at the barrel of the gun knowing for certain he would never see his family again. He remembered seeing his future wife for the first time. It was his second year at the firm. He had just stepped off the 15th floor elevator and she...
You see that? I hate that! I skip a lot.
My wife enjoys reading him too.

Enjoyed this book. I purchased it with the audio which was a real bonus. It was a book that was very hard to put down, so it was great to be able to take your walk and listen at the same time. Did walk longer just to justify reading and getting healthy at the same time.

It looked promising, it started out well, it hooked me. But then it dwindled down to a stop. The conclusion was lame and the ending anti-climatic.
I like Coben's writing style but the story itself turned out to be a disappointment.
