The Night the Angels Came

I would highly recommend this book to others. It is a well written book having to deal with the unspeakable.I have never read a book that has both brought me to tears and also remind me of the important things in life.You can literally feel the faith and the love pouring out of the book.

Cathy, a recently separated mother of two bravely accepted an eight year old boy into her charge knowing that he will soon become an orphan. Cathy and her children form a close bond with Michael and his dieing father. I found the story line good,but the telling was introduced as a log that the caretaker would provide the social service staff as a permanent record of the child's life in her care. The writing then became blogged down in mundane details of every day tasks. I enjoyed the story but felt it didn't flow as well as it might have with more careful editing.

I laughed and cried many times when reading this book. The tragedy that this poor boy went through was heart wrenching. Cathy wrote this book with the eloquence and good manner that it deserved. Celebrating the life of his father and also so empathetic to the plight of the child. So touching and heartfelt.

Another very well written story of a child in foster care. Carhy Glass is definitely one of my favorie authors as she expresses so many things i have experienced as a Carer in Texas, and Michigan in the USA

I find this story fascinating. I believe this is a true story and am convinced this type of things are true. It is written in a way very easy to follow and every time I stop I could find my way back into the stry without any dificulty or having to ready a page before to follow the story.

Since reading The Night the Angels came, I have purchased and read several other Cathy Glass books. She is not only a wonderful Author but an exceptional human being. Her stories of fostering bring tears to my eyes. I am glad she is there for all those children.
