My first read-through I was a little disappointed. However, the story has really grown on me since. Ahsoka is my favorite character of the entire Star Wars universe, and we need more story on her. However, I felt as if Johnston just didn't love the story. We could change the names of the characters, and the main plot could fit in any time or place. A few nods (that feel very forced) here and there are all that makes it even feel like a Star Wars book. Although, those nods are a real treat for any Ahsoka fan.

Still, I'd love to see Kemp do an Ahsoka/Fulcrum story with as much detail as he put into Lords of the Sith. Regardless, we need more Ahsoka!

Anticlimactic and the cover art is seriously misleading. doesn't do anything jedi-like the whole book. If you watch Rebels, you'll catch a nod to her code name in that and that's it. Bland YA generic meh-ness.

"Ahsoka" definitely does a good job of filling in the blanks between the Clone Wars Ahsoka and the Rebels Ahsoka/Fulcrum. The story is interesting, albeit very introspective. If you're not interested in reading about Ahsoka's motivations then definitely avoid this. The action is somewhat lacking, although that didn't bother me. There was no unnecessary action. The author paints a pretty clear picture of who Ahsoka is and what her motivations are. All in all, if you want to know more about Ahsoka then this is definitely for you. I cannot recommend it to a casual Star Wars fan who may not know much about her. SPOILER: I do think that the encounter with Maul could have been flushed out more. They are two fascinating characters and their interaction during the moment Order 66 is declared deserves it's due. END OF SPOILER.

This book helps fill in Ahsokas journey between "Revenge of the Sith" and "Star Wars Rebels". The story focuses on a small scale conflict but it helps Ahsoka in moving beyond her Jedi past. Overall I enjoyed the book but wish there was more to it since it felt like the story concluded a bit to quickly for my taste.

This book is absolutely incredible! Such a great addition to Ahsoka's story/life. She is THE most bada** force user (in my opinion). YOU MUST have watched Clone Wars before reading this book though as it does not give any background information on who Ahsoka is or was. The additional characters added are great as well.

Ahsoka became my favorite character during the clone wars series. I was always wondering what happened with Anakin's apprentice and this told a great story of her struggles after the war. I will not ruin the story, but when watching Star Wars Rebels I absolutely loved her white sabers and to find out how she got them was awesome! I hope there are more books based on her that end up tieing her connection to Ezra as well.

I love the Ahsoka character from the animated series and this book really feels like an extension of that story line. I think the character reflects the same traits as previously seen on TV and does a good job of illustrating the after-effects of the Clone Wars and Order 66. The book really flew by. I only wish we had more Ahsoka events to go through....definitely leaves you wanting more but I guess they have to bridge some of this into the new Rebels animated show.

I adored Ahsoka, the novel and the character. For years I wondered, what happened to her and after a brief glimpse on Star Wars Rebels, I just wanted more. At some points in the novel I felt the story line was getting rushed and kind of all over the place but it quickly tightened up again and did not disappoint.
I really want more and it's completely set up to give me more.

I have really enjoyed this book, if anything I feel that it could have been a little longer and maybe not rush a thing or two. Besides a phrasing or two that makes you go "Wait...what?" is has been great. Ahsoka has quickly become on of my favorite characters in all of Star Wars and I hope to see more books in the future about her.

Knowing how this character's story finally ended, from the Disney "Rebels" animted series, it was great to get some details around what took this engaging character from young and impressionable Padawan to freedom fighter extraordinaire... Glad I read it - well written and engaging.

Came brand new, good packaging. Storyline is awesome if you followed Ahsoka from the clone wars and then into Rebels It links the two together. If you are a star wars fan you will love it anyway. the story flows really nicely and you can understand and follow it along really well.Overall great book!

Sense seeing the clone wars, and star wars rebels. Couldn't help but notice a lot of misinformation here. I won't spoil but Ahsoka still had her light sabers. and a lot of miscues with star wars itself. But good to see she was not forgotten. ..

An unremarkable tale for a character that has grown in popularity. A bit slow in the first few chapters, the dialogue somewhat ordinary and flat. The character arc needed more emotion and depth to make Ahsoka Tano feel more real.

Ahsoka was a fantastic look into the life of Ahsoka Tano post Clone Wars. We see a lot about her in the Clone Wars and Rebels animated TV series, but we don't know what happened to her in the years between the two shows. This novel provides an exciting and emotional look into the life of the former Jedi on her path to the rebellion.

Great continuation of Ahsoka's story in The Clone Wars that explains some fun background story for her in Rebels. Great Writing and a story that kept me interested from start to finish. Goes into how the rebellion is started and keeps all tie ins from venturing into fan service territory. Possibility for a sequel book hopefully in the future as this only covers a small portion of time after Order 66, sets up for possibility of adventures as Fulcrum. Dives deeper into the intricacies of lightsaber construction and the nature of crystals. Very satisfied and read the book quite fast as it is a tight and focused story.

*spoilers if you haven't seen Clone Wars*

I freaking LOVE this! I love getting to have a peak into Ahsoka's life after leaving the Jedi order and how she is trying to do her best to make a difference in the universe. That fight with the Inquisitor was so amazing...Ahsoka kicks butt!

I really did enjoy this book. Character dev of the folks in the town, the saloon, etc were great. Frankly, I think the author took the roundabout way of getting to the damn point in the book, but I still really did enjoy reading it. I would've liked to see some more internal dialogue with Ahsoka, but that is just a personal preference. Great book, great read, would definitely suggest purchasing it.

Finally got to read how and what happened to cute little ahsoka tano from clone wars. The telling of the story is perfect. I tried the sample and knew I had to read to this book. It falls right in line with star wars rebels talks often of clone wars show. My favorite part was the white lightsabers and reading what ahsoka wanted to be. Loved this book.

Bought for a 10 year girl. She absolutely loves this book and devoured it in only a couple of days. She’s making everyone in her family read it so she can talk about it. We bought another one for her to keep as a collectible. Hard to find good Clone Wars items/gifts. The fan in your life will thank you!

Definitly for fans of the Clone Wars animated series and Rebels. It fills some of the dead space between Order 66 and the rise of the rebellion. More so, going into details about how Ahsoka handles life after the Jedi have been wiped clean of the galaxy.

I just started binge watching the Clone Wars on Netflix. I had no idea who Ahsoka was till the show. Seeing how she coped with being, as she thought, the last good force user was very interesting. The characters were developed really well in my opinion. I hope there's going to be a sequel or another stand alone involving Ahsoka!

As lifelong Star wars reader who has run just about every book, legends and otherwise, this book is one of the best. I listened to it as a book on tape and it had a very high production value including music and sound effects. Ahsoka is one of my favorite characters in the new Star wars Universe, and this story illustrates how she goes from Jedi in CloneWars to running Rebel Intelligence in the Rebels Series. Highly recommend reading it.

I love Ahsoka. By far my favorite character to come out of Clone Wars. But the book is too short and lacks a bit of depth that I expected more of on the character. Don't get me wrong, I read it in just two sittings, but it just didn't feel satisfying enough. I'm betting a sequel is planned.

Without character growth, stories stagnate.
"Ahsoka" is all about growth, change, and finding meaning after disaster.
Also, it's a Star Wars novel.
The fights lack the detail of Drizzt, but that may be a good thing, from a certain point of view.
If you've watched "Clone Wars" or " Rebels" this is essentially required reading.

Enjoyed this new star wars novel very much... very easy to read ,and hard to put down... fans of the Clone Wars series and Rebels as well will appreciate the novel... The only part that kind of seemed pointless was the mentioning of Darth Maul... just wasn't enough for me... thought there'd be more to it.

This book tells about more Ahsoka's journey before she joins the rebellion. It was well written and keept me wanting to read more. I finished the book in one night, but that's me if a book is really good.

In the book EK Johnston doesn't disappoint you at all. She gives the reader everything they crave for and More to figuring out the story of Ahsoka Tano and her adventure leading up to Star wars Rebels. I am a huge Clone wars fan by far and this book satisfies questions needed to bridge the gap between Ahsoka Tano and her departure from one war to the rebellion.

Great book. This considered Star Wars canon. Note this is written for younger readers, but it is very well written, and ties up missing pieces of Ahsoka's story between SW:TCW and SW: Rebels. Highly recommended.

Great novel on Ashoka, -- open to outcome of Rebels season 2 revealed in a next novel...?

A strong character exhibited in Ashoka -- confidence, creativity, strategy & reflective leadership in the serving bigger purpose for good, -- while grappling through moments of self-searching. A recommended read for young adults (especially teen girls) - adults youthfully aware, key themes exploring the importance of identity to direct a sense of mission despite life changes. Thanks to the author !

Ahsoka was a pretty good novel, because it bridged the gap between after ahsoka left the jedi temple in the clone wars, and star wars rebels. We also got to see how ahsoka is not exactly a jedi, but still uses the force to defend the oppressed people of the empire.

Ahsoka has quickly become one of my favorite and the most fascinating Star Wars character. The novel does a great job of bridging the gap between Clone Wars and Rebels. It also informs the reader of some more details behind the Siege of Mandalore, an enthralling scene of Star Wars lore. You also get a good look at the Inquisitorius and how they think and feel while on the hunt.

A great read!

Excellent condition, packaged very good, came perfect and was a really good book I hope they write a squeal. or to be honest it would be a good start to a trilogy. Ahsoka is an awesome Jedi, E.K. Johnson is an amazing writer and captured Ahsoka, star wars and a the lore perfectly!

Great YA novel featuring a cast of wonderful characters. Focus is more on Ahsoka after Mandalore (although there are several flashback sequences to help piece that together for you). If you like Ahsoka or are interested in how some of the smaller planets and settlements handled the Empire early on, it's worth the read.
