Chacter that likes James Bond has to be likeable and believable . She is all that . A fun dectative with a funny Italian grandmother or Nonna is almost non existent . moved along with fast pace . murder . fun, and interesting . what more can u want?

I was very entertained by the witty comments of the heroine. Although it seemed like a ton of mystery to go through in order to get to the culmination of the strong sexual tension between the two leads.

This was a really good story, mystery, romance,murder-the whole nine yards.
The only problem is that the language used was unnecessary, it would have still been a great story without the vulgarity.

This was totally unrealistic and unbelievable, the heroine was the most rude, immature, vile, thoughtless self centered individual I've ever read about. The mystery had good aspects and was the only thing okay about the book. The hero was okay just don't understand why he would want the heroine. I don't recommend this book, I'm definitely not going to read the next book. I probably won't even read anything else from this Author.

If you love Janet Evanovich's Number Series, than you are going to love this book. I found there are a number of similarities between the books, but this story has enough differences to keep me coming back for more. I love the fact that the story has steamy scenes in it, but they do not detract from the strong mystery plot. I will make sure when the next book in the series comes out, it will be an automatic one click purchase for me!

I admit to not have finished this book. While the plot could have been interesting, the characters were definitely not. I simply could not continue reading when I did not like any of the characters.

This title comes out swinging with a murder... catches your interest automatically. Admittedly, this title keeps your attention and you're trying to figure out a classic "who dunit" which is appealing. As with any title there are pros and cons... unfortunately, the cons out weigh the pros and for that reason, I will not purchase any more of the series.
Pros:
action packed
strong lead female character
classic who dunit mystery
family interaction (she's not just out on her own, she has family to fall back on)
Cons:
chauvinistic lead male
some poor editing
too heavy on the fake Italian grandmother language
way too many cupcake frosting scenes
The BIGGEST CON OF ALL: dropping GD like it's nothing-- that alone is enough to ensure that I won't ever purchase a book from this series (as this title was free.)
There is also the fact that this title mirrors the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich way to closely. Don't get me wrong, I've read just about all of the Stephanie Plum books--that's why it's irritating that this book mirrors it so closely-- too closely. If you've read the Plum series then you know that the main character is: a big time eater when stressed out (insert cupcake frosting scene here), has an over bearing grandmother-- Joe's grandmother Bella (insert Nonna here), has a detective love interest in Joe Morelli (insert Detective Nash here), has a best bud Lula who handles stress with food too (insert Bekah here), has family dinner at her mothers house weekly (insert Friday family dinner here), is a private investigator for Vinnie Plum (insert the fact that Bond owns the PI company), has car troubles (insert Bond buying a new care in this title). See the similarities are way to close-- almost makes for a feeling of déjà vu which leads you to believe there is a lack of creativity or originality in this author.
