Baylee is an unusual heroine as she has ADHD & Von Willebrand disease (bleeding disorder) causing pain & embarrassment throughout her life. She's using it as a shield at any sign of perceived rejection.

Sexy Sebastian leads a double life and it's erroding trust in his relationship with Baylee.

This is an insight into difficulties facing people with ADHD & Von Willebrand disease and the courage needed to compensate. It also highlights dangerous risks firefighters take especially when dealing with a lunatic arsonist.

Will revise this rating if the typos do NOT continue. Chapter One, second to last and last pages had several mistakes. The author and editor missed that the word sunscreen was spelled two different ways. It should be spelled as one word. Additionally in the third or fourth reference it was referred to as sun tan lotion - suntan is one word and suntan lotion is a completely different product than sunscreen. Also, the word toward was incorrectly spelled with an “s” as towards (which is the British spelling). And, a paramedic cares for burn victims and people with heatstroke and sunstroke, etc., so a paramedic would not be without.

I loved this book. I so wondered what happened to Sebastian after I finished Texas Tornado and was so glad to hear that there was going to be a series that included him. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Love her writing, but I wish the editing team was better; so many "my" should have read "me" and vice-versa. Still deserved 5 stars. MC, firefighters, paramedics, arson, and a love story; what more could you ask for?

started out good but around 60 percent where major drama should of happen we have the tough girl crying and everything is swept away in a few pages. Yeah sorry but no. Had to stop reading after that.

I am, unusually for me, torn while writing the review for this one.
There was so much that I liked but one niggle that spoilt my enjoyment.
You’re The Lights…
Sebastian had one rule.
No women on the back of his bike. Period.
The one time he broke that rule, he killed the woman that was carrying his child.
Then comes Baylee Roberts. She makes Sebastian want to break every single rule he’d ever implemented. Hell, but she even makes him consider that dreaded H word. A helmet.
To My…
Baylee Roberts innocently walked into her bathroom never expecting that she’d find a man in there. It is her bathroom after all, and she lives alone.
From the instant he placed his hat on her head to protect her from the sun, Baylee’s mind becomes filled with thoughts of a certain biker.
She really shouldn’t go there. There’s no telling what kind of dangerous things he does for The Dixie Wardens MC.
Siren…
Nothing is ever as easy as it should be. Their relationship’s one of them.
Baylee’s brother is a cop. Baylee’s father is a cop. Which inevitably means that Baylee’s going to have certain hang-ups about being with a man like himself.
Sebastian has a lot on his plate with his busy job as a firefighter, a single father, and the vice president of The Dixie Wardens MC.
Not enough, though, to keep him away from Baylee.
When a series of arsons rattle their hometown and puts Sebastian’s life on the line, Baylee finally realizes the only fire Sebastian can’t put out is the one inside her heart.

This is not a gritty, angst ridden MC book. For me it’s a funny romance where the incredibly hot alpha male just happens to be in an MC (oh, and a firefighter as well, swoon!) but that’s its charm. Never having read Lani Lynn Vale before I have to say she writes funny, sassy heroines but with a real quality that makes them endearing. Baylee holds her own and gives as good as she gets but her clumsy factor makes her the ‘real girl’ who you could know, not just a character. Sebastian is just yummy, an alpha through and through, handsome, hot, single dad, firefighter, VP in his MC club – did I mention Swoon??!!??

The book is written from dual POV and I loved the little quotes at the start of each chapter.

Don’t fall in love with men and their devil penis magic. – Note to self.
This isn’t a bakery. I don’t sugarcoat sh*t. – Why Sebastian pi**es Baylee off.
You flipped the b*tch switch, so buckle up and enjoy the ride, a**hole! – Text from Baylee to Sebastian
It’s better to lose a lover than to love a loser, a**hole, b*stard, lying, son of a c*ck wh*re. – Life lesson.

The inventive swearing and the humour made this a quick, easy romp of a book – add in the hotness factor and it’s a good coffee time book.
The author does have a way with a story and I enjoyed it but my niggle is the editing and that drove me demented. The tenses change on a regular basis and while I can let typos go, especially in an ARC, this spoilt it for me. Many will read and not notice, many will read and be able to overlook but I struggled with this.
Is it a good story? Yes
It’s funny and sweet and hot but it loses a star for the editing ~ I can’t be honest in my thoughts and not comment on that……

When I have tears streaming down my face from emotions so deep that I can hardly put them into words, I know then that I’ve found a story that has touched me deeply. When I decided to give Lani Lynn Vale a chance and started this series it was because I had read the reviews of book one and saw that this was what I called a “Nic” proof book. There wouldn’t be any cheating or sex outside the hero/heroine. But what I found was so much more. This book was layered with energy that vibrated throughout. I am finding it hard to explain what I encountered in this amazing love story. Yes I’ll confess it has my favorite thing, insta-love. No the characters Sebastian and Baylee didn’t confess this love right away …it was more like lust but they were drawn to each other like nothing I’ve ever read before. I just loved though how this author took the time to bring these two together in a slow burning build of passion. They became a real couple and this story had so much more than their relationship going on. Baylee was a very strong heroine and had a very high stress job as a paramedic and also was dealing with two health disorders. Adhd and a bleeding disorder. and I loved how Lani brought so many details of Baylee’s job and these health issues into the storyline. It didn’t detract from the romance, it was enhanced because it showed how they worked together as a couple and how they had to overcome the obstacles that we all face in real life. Real that’s the word I’ve been looking for. This book had real issues and it had things that made this love story feel authentic. I loved Sebastian so much. He was strong, loyal, protective and possessive. He didn’t mince words or try to hid his feelings. He wasn't just the VP of the MC club, no he was a firefighter who saved lives and worked hard. He just laid it out there. He wasn’t one for flowery words but showed his feelings..his actions spoke for themselves.

His past as a Marine really spoke to my heart being a mother to a US Marine myself. But when he took Baley on a trip to visit some special friends… my heart broke. I learned something I feel ashamed to say I never knew before. Visiting the cemetery of lost heroes.. there’s a tradition. Simple coins. But profound meaning.

Nickels meant that the deceased and visitor to the grave attended boot camp together.
A dime meant that they served with the person in some capacity.
And a quarter, like the one Sebastian had just left, meant that they were with them when they’d died.

This part of the story just had me in tears and feeling so thankful for men like my son but also for the families and the loved ones left behind.

So Sebastion didn’t always speak the romatic words..he was all about doing, showing and claiming. But his actions were LOVE and it was so consuming how he loved Baylee. When this book had me gripping my kindle and holding my breath till I was dizzy..and gasping..I knew then without a doubt I’ve found an author that I have to have more of. I was totally enraptured and oh Sebastian has really taken my heart.

With any MC series there is going to be the brotherhood, the foundation of the club.

This had so many interesting and intense characters that Lani took the time to make me the reader want more..right now. I want Kettle’s story and I want Sterling’s and Trance. I haven’t looked at the next book but will be diving right in hoping it’s also safe for me. I was totally consumed by this amazing story and this author now has one girl who will be watching the name Lani Lynn Vale very carefully. Lani, I want perfect Alpha’s like Sebastian. Loyal, true and possessive. Write girl write.
OH …one last thing. From a girl born and raised in Louisiana, I really really loved the setting of this book being partly in my state.
Any body who loves a good loyal hero, sexy romance with suspense, passion and intrigue..along with an authentic reality type plot. Give this one a go..you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

This is the first book in the Heroes of the Dixie Wardens MC by Lani Lynn Vale. In this book we are introduced to a group of men that are not only MC members but heroes that fight fires, protect the innocent as policemen, save lives as paramedics and work in a different way to keep their community safe. In this book we meet two of those unique characters, Baylee Roberts and Sebastian Mackenzie and this is their story.

Ok, forget Prince Charming because I have a smoking hot, panty dropping fireman that can hose me off anytime!

When you know all your life that you are different, you learn to compensate. Baylee comes from a family that serves and protects as police officers. She also serves her community as a paramedic. So when she meets and is instantly attracted to Sebastian, red flags go up, warning her that she should not get involved with him. Sure, he works as a firefighter but he is also part of a motorcycle club. Her family was sure to approve, not! The more she comes in contact with the man, the less resistance she has. Is he the one for her? Will he accept her and all of her issues? Can she deal with the things he does with his club?

Firemen find ‘em hot and leave ‘um wet!

There are issues and then there are issues. Sebastian is a loner. He swears that he will never claim another woman and put her on the back of his bike. However, when he meets Baylee Roberts, all past promises are forgotten. She is spunk to his alpha control and makes him feel for the first time in years. Is she his rule breaker? Can she be the light to his siren? The past has a way of refusing to let go and maybe it will destroy the chance that they could have a future.

Anything worth having is worth fighting for and this is where Baylee and Sebastian find themselves. Life is not easy for a full time dad that is not only a firefighter but also the VP of the Dixie Wardens MC and a woman that has issues with MC’s. Will the two find a way to overcome the past and the difficulties that are thrown in their way? Take a chance and read their story to find out!

Hero: Sebastian Mackenzie 4.5 stars
Heroine: Baylee Roberts 4.5 stars
Plot: 4.5 stars
Steam Level: 4.5 stars
Cliffhanger: No

Would I recommend this book: Yes! This is hot read and I mean that literally! You have a hot firefighter and one sexy paramedic that come together in an explosion that rocks both their worlds!

Would I recommend this author: Yes! From the first book I read by this author, I was addicted. Ms. Vale enthralls her readers with amazing real life stories and characters that you want to get to know better! The fact that she writes about firefighters, policemen, paramedics that are alpha MC guys, what’s not to love?

“A good man breaks your headboard, not your heart.”
~ Baylee

One of my favorite things about this book were the little sayings , quotes, or thoughts at the beginning of each chapter. They gave some insight into the character that said them. I really love books that dual POV because I like knowing what both characters are thinking when certain things happen. The one thing I wish about this book was that it had more about the Wardens MC.

Baylee is an EMT with the local fire department. She moved from Colorado to live near her brother and her niece when she caught her boyfriend cheating. This was her fresh start. She has made some great friends which is how she meets Sebastian. Sebastian right away becomes the protective ALPHA you know the President of a MC would be. I love that Sebastian takes care of Baylee no matter if she likes it or not. Baylee is a strong independent woman who has a job she loves and doesn’t just roll over when Sebastian is being all ALPHA.

Sebastian has a past. He has a son and how he became the only parents is a sad story that has affected his life in many ways. He is a firefighter, President of the Dixie Warden MC club and a single father. His life is crazy and he doesn’t really have time for a relationship but the moment he meets Baylee something changes. He finds time for her. I really liked Sebastian. He is great with his son Johnny and has a good head on his shoulders.

There is some suspense in the book because someone is setting fires in both Baylee’s town and Sebastian’s. There are oh no moments that make you want to hold your breath and hope everything is going to be alright. I enjoyed this book. Like I said earlier I just wish we got more information and a closure look at the MC side of the story.

There were so many things I liked about this book and a few I didn't. First I feel like I need to get off my chest what I didn't like about the book. I felt like Sebastian was so off and on. He's an a**hole, then he's nice. Then he's an a**hole because he's mad. Now he's nice. He would share with her dad info about his life but not her. I mean come on Sebastian. No. Just no. Open up to your girl. And yes I know he fights with this decision later, but to me.. It should have been thought about far before that. My other issue is that if you didn't remember or read previous books, you may not know these other characters. They're relationship, free, who's who may not make sense. So it may be beneficial to have a family tree of sorts to help readers out. If you have read them, revisit so you remember who's who. I was super upset when he reacted by radio silence for 3 days. Not to mention how Luke just dropped the whole thing about his ex. He (Luke) never told his sister his thoughts on it, it just went away. It was never discussed in much detail. Also, why didn't he tell her the truth of what happened to his ex. He holds back so much of himself and when he's an a**hole, he was an a**hole at the worst of times. It's actually maddening for me to have to write that, that's how frustrating it was for me to read. I get why he was like that and why Lani wrote it that way. We need to see his growth and effort. But still, just down right frustrating. And when he finally did open up to her, we didn't get to see any of it. Just a tiny fly by that it happened and she needed to adjust and digest the info. But I don't feel like he really understood and even tried to understand her disease, he just jumped down her throat. Like I said, I get why he had to be that way, I don't like it. But i do. Not only that, the Tatiana chick- nothing ever came from her attitude issue either.

Now, moving on to why ultimately I thought it was still a good book. I loved his relationship with his kid and her with his kid. I also loved her relationship with Winter. I loved the relationship between the characters and the closeness of their jobs. I loved that even though Sebastian is in the MC, they all still have real jobs. I love the drama with the arson storyline and how both our characters factor in. I love that Baylee was this Strong independent woman. I feel like she lost some of that and became a little dependent on Sebastian. But still strong and independent most of the time.

Ultimately I liked the book. It was good. Just maddening at times.

Meet Sebastian – he’s an ex-marine, a firefighter, President of the Dixie Wardens MC and a single dad, which has had a great effect on his life. His life is chaotic and he doesn’t have time for relationships…until he meets Baylee, then all bets are off! He quite frequently goes in ultra-protective alpha mode and is sometimes a little too ultra-protective much to Baylee’s dislike.

Baylee caught her ex- boyfriend cheating on her and so she ups and moves to be closer to her family and secures work at the local fire department as an EMT thus creating a fresh start for herself.

I loved the relationships between Sebastian and his son and Baylee and his son and the chemistry between Sebastian and Baylee is sizzling and makes for a fantastic read.

I also loved the element of suspense with the firebug that is terrorizing the towns and I especially loved the little quotes that are at the start of each chapter.

I rated it 4 stars as there were a few editing issues that I wasn’t able to overlook, other than that I LOVED IT!

I really enjoyed reading Lights To My Siren. There were some funny parts, some sad parts, some romantic parts and some VERY HOT parts to this story!

Baylee is a paramedic and Sebastian a firefighter who ended up being promoted to Battalion Chief for his work on an arsonist case. Oh and did I mention that he is VP of The Dixie Wardens MC (motorcycle club)?

Most of the MC books that I have read have been dark to very dark books and this one was different that from I have previously read. So if you have been wanting to read an MC book that isn't dark then this one is for you. It is a love story and has an HEA although, you can see how there are more books to read in this series all tie in. Well at least I think you can see since this is the first book in this series.

There are several scenes that are memorable to me. One of them was the HOT scene by the truck out doors. No I won't say more because you need to read the book :). I also loved them "discussing our birth plan that consisted of drugs and more drugs on top of drugs, and speaking with the nurses about Baylee's Condition." I guess the reason that scene was so funny was that I work in the birthing center, as a postpartum nurse and I have seen patients like this.

I look forward to reading more from this series and this was an ARC received for an honest review. I give Lights To My Siren 4.0 OOOO's (O's for Orgasms)

Since I first met Sabastian I loved his character. Even though he wasn't the best brother in Shiloh's book he was way less judgemental then Sam. In his own book this is proven on how he handles the whole Luke (Baylee's cop brother) situation. Baylee is a strong leading female who isn't afraid to show a feminine side. I love that she has her own life. She also doesn't give up her life but shows there is a balance that can be made when starting a family. Its not all one sided in this book. Both sides must find balance to make this relationship work. And it is portrayed beautifully in this book. This is the first book in the Dixie Wardens and its a great series to read and reread. There is love, humor, drama and family.
