Nice world building and evolution of the romance. The story is acted out but also told in snipets by the characters. Took just enough time to let the characters evolve before progessing the physical relationships.I am looking forward to the next one!

I first got into the harem/reverse harem genres through manga and anime. When I discovered the popularity of the book genre, I had to see what it was all about! After seeing people rave about this book, I decided to check it out, myself. I wasn't disappointed!
I loved the relationships between Briar and her men. Briar is an incredibly sweet girl, but she has a bold personality and a great sense of etiquette and manners. It allows her to interact with the story's heroes in a way that builds the romantic tension very well. I actually liked that the heat level was on the low side, as I found the interactions between the characters to be much more endearing.
Also, while the focus is definitely on Briar and her developing relationships, the story also takes a rich approach to the men and their stories. Their origins are both heartfelt and intense. Even if Briar had been taken out, I would have still enjoyed the story (though not nearly as much!) just for them and their familial interactions.
Valen was by far my favorite character, with Sylvain being a close second.
Truly a fantastic book that I'm glad I started the genre with! Strongly recommend if you're a fan of Reverse Harems!

Second series i have read from the author and I’m not disappointed. I love Blair and how easy she is. She isn’t being hard headed or annoying. She is a one perfect main character and i will be reading book two when it’s out to get more of the vampire brothers!

Briar is smart, witty, living with a genetic mutation and her four best college mates just happen to be sexy vampires. Interesting premise, well developed characters and some honest laugh out loud moments.

This book was equal parts sweet and entrancing. The characters made me laugh and cry depending on what was happening, and they had amazing depth to their actions. It was a great read and I can’t wait for the next book to come out!

This was a great book. All of the characters were lovely to get to know. Briar was a bit pigheaded at times but you can’t help but love her and her guys. I️ would definitely recommend this book to lovers of paranormal romance books.

In true Ripley format this book did not disappoint. :) it’s a twist that I have not read before and truly enjoyed the way this is going and can’t wait to read what’s next in this series. You have Briar that is allergic to the UV rays of the sun... you find that her strength, intelligence, and independence is the beauty inside that makes these hot men fall for her. Vampires with tortured past that are not only brought together again but join forces to help Brair as she struggles through college years, her disability and the common evil thats wants spiteful revenge. If you haven’t read any of her books you should. They are all great! And if your thinking about this book... you should get it. It’s not what you expect. Do recommend this book. :)

I absolutely loved this book! The characters were amazing and incredibly likable. The story line was unique and that's not easy to do when vampires are involved. I will definitely be continuing this series!

In spite of typos, grammatical errors and the like, I really loved this book. I just about cried when I realized that it’s the first in a series and the only book in the series, as of yet. I want more!

This was a new spin on the typical vampire story. Brian is not your average female lead. The brothers are unique with a great history that makes their characters stand out. Looking forward to the book.

Can you really beat four sexy vampire brothers and a super smart, strong female lead? No. You can't. Loved this one and I can't wait for the next installment to see what happens with Briar and her men.

I found the concept very interesting. The characters are well done. Briar is smart, genuine, and likeable. Vampire is a theme that has been done every which way and I think this story has a unique spin to the genre. Well written and thought out. Ready for book 2!

Started out pretty good, but I think the second half lulled for me. Once the midpoint was reached, it started becoming a bit muddy and the guy's characters changed a bit too much for me. Hudson became a little too nice and well, everyone just felt too nice. I don't think there really was a climax, or I think it was a bit too short and weak... and I thought the foreshadowing of Valen for Sylvian would lead into something more. Still, enjoyable read. I tend to be a pretty picky reader and I think this is a good bit to spend an afternoon with.
Please RateA Reverse Harem Romance (Midnight's Crown Book 1)
The brothers are distinct and Ripley does an amazing job in creating separate characters for them. The brothers don’t blur into each other like some Reverse Harem men do. They each stand out and are unique.
While I can’t wait for the next book, those who want all situations resolved before the end of a book should know that there are things left in limbo and mysteries still aren’t solved. It’s not a cliff hanger in my opinion though.
It’s definitely a slow burn but there’s enough steam to keep you interested and wanting more. And I highly recommend this book to any readers looking for a reverse harem.
