Another great book about the dog pack and dangers they face. All the familiar dogs plus a new pack that is a real terror. Lucky tries to prove himself, but Alpha still puts him down. The long paws are very cruel to the animals. Will the Pack survive?

I was really disappointed. The only thing that I really liked was how Lucky renamed Lick Storm. I did like how a few dogs stood up to Alpha. I can understand why Beta (Sweet) never challenged Alpha. Since Alpha is a wolf dog and Sweet is meant for sprinting, Alpha would have given her a real beatdown. I`m getting a little sick and tired of reading the Fierce Dogs` names. I feel that the Erins went wrong there by naming most of them after weapons. I think that they should have named them after wild animals that dogs would encounter in the wild. I do dislike better because, Bella makes some of the worst decisions possible and expects Lucky to automatically forgive her. I can understand that`s her brother, but that doesn`t change the fact that she really put him through crap. Dogs burying feces? I have yet to hear about a dog breed so fastidious, they cover their feces. Dogs fighting with their claws? Dogs fight with their jaws and fangs. I think the Erins are too used to writing Warriors and Seekers. Fiery should have been the new leader ,but knowing the Erins are awful 'authors', I knew that a fight between Alpha and Fiery would never transpire. Overall, you`re better off buying and reading a different book.

I enjoyed this book much more than the others. Probably because Lick started taking a bigger role in the books. Her personality seemed a bit strange though, she seems to act aggressive at seemingly random times when the rest of the time she is a level headed pup. I still am not a fan of Alpha's new personality, it's still fractured and unusual - he doesn't seem to be at all what he was portrayed as in the first books. In fact in this book he has really embraced that sense of paranoia, distrust and the inability to make decisions for his pack on his own; all while being bundled up in a blanket of anger and frustration.
