I loved this book, the slow burn, not-quite-enemy to friends to lovers element is one of my favorites and it’s depicted beautifully throughout. Brook is really relatable and instantly likable and Chase is the epitome of emotionally unavailable but I couldn’t help but love him and his issues anyways. This is added to my favorite books of 2018.

Harper Dallas...BRAVO!! You absolutely nailed your debut novel! Without a doubt, this has to be one of the finest books I've ever had the pleasure to read. Everything about this book is flawless--storyline is awesome; characters are so perfectly developed that you feel as if you are right there in the story itself. The emotions you draw out from both your characters and readers are extraordinary...we feel everything!

Chase don't do girlfriends.  The Olympic snowboarder is emotionally closed off to women until he met Brooke. Being a professional sport photographer is what Brooke loves most. She needs to be professional when it comes to working with Chase and his crew. In her experience,  men always leave so she tries to keep her heart safe. Love has it own way of thawing the ice around both of their hearts. I love this book. So full of angst. Took me on an emotional rollercoaster.  I love how the author describe the outdoor scene like you are really out there on the slopes. This is a must read. I received this advanced reader copy voluntarily in exchange for an honest review.

Absolutely love it. I laughed, I cried and I fell in love with these characters. With Chase thinking he wasn't worthy of anyone and never getting close to enough to anyone to have a relationship and Brooke having built up walls with emotional Kevlar because of the men in her past including her dad who was once Chase's hero. When the two of them meet it's electrify but the promise not too be serious because they don't feel three are what the other wants it gets frustrating for ever one involved. Thank goodness they finally figured out they were better together than apart. Would love to see a sequel.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I couldn’t stop reading it. The story is wonderful and the writing is fantastic (I fell in love with some of these words)! I actually don’t care much for the snow, nor have I been snowboarding, but this book described everything so beautifully that it made me feel like I have really been missing out. Also, these characters are delightful. The chemistry between them is amazing and I loved reading their story. Enjoy!

I really enjoyed this book. It was different from most sports books that I've read since it's about snowboarders. It was a nice change. Chase and Brooke were a great couple once Chase finally realized it ;) Brooke is a struggling action sports photographer who gets the chance to meet her childhood crush, Chase Austin - world famous snowboarder. While they are drawn towards each other, both have past hang ups that make it difficult for them to even attempt a relationship. The only thing I would've liked was the actual proposal included. Besides that, it was a great read!

This book was amazing. The writing was great and the book flowed well. It is a romance for sure and not a book that is inundated with sex to fill in the gaps. I actually liked both characters and the supporting characters. I have never read anything by this author but after reading this I'm interested in reading her other work. She has amazing character development and I felt like the story I read was relatable. I would totally recommend this to anyone. And I am a total book nerd I read about a book a day.

Chase Austin was an adrenaline junkie snowboarder playboy who was only loyal to his crew no attachments.. Brooke Larson was a photographer who has had a crush on Chase since she was a teenager but she's not sure he's worth the risk to both her heart and her career. I voluntarily reviewed a copy if this book this story was so well written by this author Harper Dallas my first read by her it was witty emotional as sexy. The emotional journey for both Chase and Brooke the ost hurt they both have to deal with to be able to be together I highly recommend this amazing read it's a must read really you won't be disappointed.

Just the right amount of build up, angst, slow burning, hot steamy sex scenes, coming to terms story with good plot and well developed characters. I like how the writer gives you more details and builds the story without being repetitive. Very smooth and natural writing, not jerky. I don't usually give many reviews because I am so busy, although I am a voracious romance reader. I just has go give this review to let you know how good the book is.

I started this book right after finishing a really amazing read so I wasn't expecting much. I was so pleasantly surprised (and couldn't believe this was a debut novel!)! This book quickly became a page turner for me. You will fall in love with Chase's brooding, sexy character. You'll also get a great glimpse of different mountain scenery all over North America and a look into the world of snow boarding, which was new for me and quite interesting. This book will give you all the feels! Must read!! Can't wait for the sequel!

I absolutely loved this book! 5 plus stars! An achingly beautiful romance! I hope we see more of Chase and Brooke. Cannot wait to read her next book! I was amazed that I could not year my eyes away! Great story, wonderful characters and breathtaking scenery! Ride was so much more!!

I'm not a snowboarding follower at all, but Harper Dallas does an excellent job of making this not an issue while writing a book about snowboarders. I loved Brooke - she was smart, tough, never a pushover, with a strong sense of self. Chase was amazing, and all the back-up characters were fleshed out nicely without being overdone. The story moves along nicely, and while there are several hot romantic scenes throughout the story, the author doesn't wear us out with them. I loved her writing style and will definitely be checking for other books by Harper Dallas.

Brooke is a sport photographer. Chase is one of the world's best pro snowboarders. Brooke is offered the chance to photograph Chase and his friends. Chase wants a fling with Brooke right away. Brooke was abandoned by her snowboarder dad and will not let Chase get through her walls. Chase eventually wears her down and gets his way. It soon becomes a roller-coaster ride between the two. He wants her but something from his past is holding him back. A serious accident causes a rift between them. Both know they have to take a risk to get the reward they want. HEA, no cliff hanger.

Both characters are complex with their own issues. It's really wonderful watching them struggle with them individually and challenge each other to trust and love. While it's only from Brooke's perspective you get an increasingly deep sense of what's going on in Chase's mind through the details the author provides of his mannerisms. By the end I was so happy to see things come together in a really emotional way.

Ride was a fantastic story about making the most of rare opportunities and taking second chances in hand and learning from mistakes. Chase was jaded and stone cold, except to his trusted circle of friends. Brooke finally had a great opportunity to meet her teen idol. When the chemistry between them ignites, it changes the game for both of them. This book was so well written for a debut novel. Great dialogue and well written scenes. I will be looking for more of Ms. Dallas' works. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Excellent book about snowboarder Chase Austin, his crew and photographer Brooke Larson. This book has hot snowboarders, sexy bunnies, outrageous parties, some tragedy and of course romance. This is the first book I've read by Harper Dallas and she did an amazing job writing the characters and storyline. Harper describes the mountain and jumps in a way that makes you feel you are experiencing it yourself. I would definitely recommend this book and author. I voluntarily received this book to review for my honest opinion.

This is not a typical sports romance that lately flooded the market. Harper Dallas' writing style is creative and passionate. When she describes the beauty of mountains, it is poetic. This book made me look at extreme sports in completely different light. Every character had their own charm and evoked a storm of emotions. And the storyline is fabulous. "Ride" is this author's debut book and all I can say is this: What a fantastic read! Please, may I have more!

Brooke, talented but insecure, with a safe plan. Chase, talented but warped, with an emotional shell larger than Zermatt. Together, they soar, but her insecurities and his attitude cause their pride to bounce the wall of persistence. A wonderful novel, with real-life emotions and life. Read it.

I have read so many Romance novels this past year I reread Fifty Shades of Grey twice that was what I was searching for again. Its hard to find good, well developed love stories where your heart shimmies when reading a novel. Chase and Brooke did it for me I loved it!

I loved this story with great characters, romance and intrigue. Chase was really a troubled soul since his sister's death and wouldn't let anyone close. B was the same way. They finally got through their issues and got their HEA. I believe this is the first book I've read from this author, but I plan to read more. A very well-written debut with strong characterization of the main and secondary players. There were some drawn out moments in the story, but nothing too arduous. With some tighter editing and an original book cover that doesn't conform to the naked torso trend, it could have been a 5 star read.

Wow. I devoured this book like a frickin cupcake. One big delicious bite. I'm not a boarder. I know nothing of this lifestyle or this sport but I felt so much a part of this world as if I was sitting along in the hot tub or sailing down the mountains with this crew. This book is definable a slow burn, but worth it. A few plot issues were frustrating (someone who has broken their arm and has to have pins out in not being released and running around like normal the same day). But over all well written and worth the read.

Brooke Larsen meets her dream man Chase Austin. She had posters of him on her bedroom wall. Chase is a extreme snowboarder and the best there is. This is a story of love , drama and heartbreak. Over coming past issues, hurts and tragedies . From start to finish you will be hooked by the story. I wasn't able to put it down once I picked it up. It's one that makes you believe true love can over come all.

I was totally blown away by this book! It is an amazing story of betrayal, love and following your heart's desire. The story was beautifully written and I loved all of the characters. I will be keeping tabs on this author. Incredible!

Some books really take me by surprise, and this was one of them. I have never read anything but this author before and was so beyond sucked in by this book. It's a beautiful and heart breaking story and I loved all of these characters so much. Highly recommend it!

Wow. This is an amazing debut by Harper Dallas. Chase and Brooke spark right away, and they burn up the pages. Love can't live on heat alone, and I loved their Journey as they figured out the hard bits. For me this was a quick read, and it's certainly a story that keeps a reader engaged. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review. This is a full length bad boy sports romance between a an athlete and photographer. This book leans more towards the sweet side than the steamy. It's funny but also has it's dark emotional moments. There's a bit of repetition which I glazed over which is what resulted in my 3.75 rating.

This book has endearing characters and not just the main two in Chase and Brooke, strong writing and sizzling chemistry will keep readers turning the pages, considering this is Harper's first novel she leads the readers on an amazing ride. There are so many overly dramatic poorly written romance novels out there and this is far from it! I was hooked from the first page, Brooke is extremely likeable and relatable while Chase is just broody enough where it’s a turn on. After finishing the book I immediately went into a book hangover and was thoroughly surprised and dissapointed to find that this was Harpers first novel! Harper Dallas did an amazing job and I’m so excited to see what else she does in the future!

The characters are very well developed as well as the story line. Well done. I love the HEA. Would like an epilogue about ten years from the end. Brooke and Chase are both trying to protect damaged hearts by trying to play it cool. They do have good chemisty but seem to ignore the obvious. How long will the aloof act work for each of them? Can they push through their past and learn to trust and love again? I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and am giving an honest review.

This book dragged on and on and on.... especially the last 15% of the book.
This book was way too long for what it is. I would say 30% of the story could have been edited out. There was so much details on things so unimportant. Saying that, you would think this book had tons of dialogue, but there wasn't a lot at all. There were very large sections where no dialogue was spoken between the couple.

It's interesting that somebody praised the chemistry and I completely disagree. Their relationship was boring. I dislike when authors tell me about a couples connection rather than showing me. I found them both boring. There was nothing exciting or engaging with either character which is a fail on the author.

Unfortunately this book was a miss for me which is why it took me months to complete.
