Sharpe Edge (Maycroft Mystery Series)

The beginning was a little disjointed to me, but I am glad I read on. The heroine, a school teacher turned reporter/amateur sleuth, gets involved in solving the suspicious accident of one of the towns elite residents. The daughter of the dead woman is her brother's girlfriend which is how she is how she gets involved. A fun easy read with a few surprises. 3.5 Stars

Fast and enjoyable read. The mystery was well thought out and made sense. Grammar and spelling were excellent. I would recommend this book to my friends who need a break from life for a few hours.

Quirky characters and serious danger make for an intriguing read. Curiosity and a Sharpe lady tackle a murder plot all while promoting a romance among family and friend. Light hearted and compelling. Similar to Debbie Macomber but with a little Edge.
