I received this book in exchange for an honest review. From the description I was really excited to read this, but in the end it was only okay.

I don't have very strong feelings about this book either way. It wasn't bad, but it was far from good. It was sort of hot in some places, and not necessarily the obligatory sex scenes. Shay was so forgettable a character that I forgot her name and had to look it up. Leo was mildly alpha, but only once assured. I guess that's my whole problem with this book. It didn't commit to being either a true love story, or quick and dirty erotic story... it straddled the line and left me unsatisfied. Either a romance or erotica would've been fine, I like both, but this was really neither.

I guess I do have strong feelings about this book, namely that it let me down. It started fantastic. I was drawn into the story immediately, and i had very high hopes, but somewhere around half way through the plot fell off and I was left unsatisfied. I should've paid more attention to the title, because a shot of naughty, a shot of romance, a shot of character development, and a shot of plot development is all you'll get.

I love Eden Summers’ writing. Her stories are always raw and highly emotional. SHOT OF SIN, which is the first in her The Vault series, is all of that too, and still it is completely different. Unexpected. Fresh. And new. I devoured it completely and didn’t want to put it down.

Shay is working in a restaurant / club … and has the hots for her boss, Leo, who is part-owner of these establishments. Shay knows that Leo feels the chemistry too, but for some reason he steers clear of her after their one hot encounter in the storeroom. Only… Leo has his reasons for avoiding her – one, mixing business with pleasure rarely ends well, and two, most importantly, his sexual needs are far from conventional and have everything to do with the basement Shay knows nothing about. Leo’s two business partners and best friends TJ and Brute complicate things even further – and not only in regards to the business, but on a much, much more personal level as well. He is just too worried that all that will just scare her off…

I loved each and every one of the characters – be it Leo and Shay, or TJ and Brute. They all have an incredible depth, and with each of them battling their own demons I am totally intrigued by TJ and Brute too.

What Shay and Leo are building in this book is definitely not your usual kind of romantic relationship. It is hard for me to fathom that such a relationship can really work – how can you not be totally territorial about the person you are in love with? – but Ms. Summers managed to make me believe that it might indeed work out for those two. I wouldn’t have minded if they explored the Vault a bit further, but I am hoping to catch other glimpses of them both in the following stories.

SHOT OF SIN is seductive, naughty and downright carnal. Limits are tested and desires revealed – now I’m curious what other sinful secrets will be revealed with TJ and Brute!

Holy Hell in a handbasket! This is waaay hot!

I’ve read Hunter. And I’ve read Eden Summer’s Reckless Beat series. What I can also tell you is that even reading a complementary copy of A Shot Of Sin, this series with a name like ‘The Vault’, I was still in awe of the heat and passion that can be put into words like what is written in this book.

It is a gift to write such tough alpha males with a deep loyalty towards each other and towards the club they’ve built, yet still manage to showcase the vulnerability and sacrifice that each has made as their own true need in the world of sex is understood.

Leo and his two friends, TJ and Bryan, have built a night club and restaurant that is exclusive and successful. Within those walls, is an even more private club that only a select clientele have access to. Not even Shay, the men’s best bar manager knows it exists, and when Bryan requests that she fills in while they’re short staffed, she jumps at the opportunity to find out about it, even as Leo vehemently opposes it.

On his part, Leo can’t keep away from this feisty and sexy woman, and knew that Shay might not understand his own need. In testing her that one time, he was understandably disappointed in her reaction. He did, however, misinterpret it. Yes, she was shocked, by her own reaction and their passion. Horrified ?? Absolutely not. She then struggled to understand his subsequent withdrawal from her.

I also really loved Shay. She was totally invested in Leo, even though the employee and employer rule stood, and even as he had already crossed the line once with her, and shocked her, she was still into him.

What I did appreciate, was Shay’s own tentative and often contrary reaction as she comes to understand just what the man she loves, needs in a partner, especially in discovering just what the exclusive part of the club she’d not known about, involved.

This is a hot and steamy start to what promises to be an intense series, and after reading the first chapter of TJ’s story, I can’t wait to read the next book. Thankfully it is already available. 5 stars of hotness

Wow. Holy foreplay! What makes this book so good is the tension between the main characters Leo and Shay. Shay is a bartender at Leo's "normal" night club and unaware of the VIP "sex club" located underneath. Leo is one of three owners and the one Shay is attracted to. The reason this book is so good in my opinion is that while it has very sexual content, it never crosses the line into icky. In fact, it is the whole sexual tension and angst between Leo and Shay that gets your emotions going. Lets face it, if I wanted to read straight porn, it would be easy to find. A Shot of Sin (The Vault Bk 1) handles the sex in such a way that you are practically screaming at them to get together. The book is well written, the characters drool worthy and interesting, the sexual anticipation alone makes you scream in frustration, and overall The Vault 1 rocks:) I swear I instantly clicked for book 2 Union of Sin (T.J. and Cassie's story)

Title: Shot of Sin

Series: Vault of Sin Book #1

Author: Eden Summers

Genre: Erotic/Romance

Blurb: Throw back a shot of pure pleasure.

Leo Petrova is between a rock and the hard place in his pants. Shot of Sin, the night club he owns with his two best friends, is short one bartender downstairs. The only available replacement is the upstairs bar manager—the one woman Leo knows he can’t take downstairs, can’t have, can’t touch. The one time he gave in to temptation convinced Leo that Shay’s no match for his sexual demands.

Only a select few know Shot of Sin’s guilty secret, that beneath the packed dance floor lies a very private sex club—the Vault. The place Leo can let his sexual proclivities run wild.

Shay Porter is curious as to why her boss, the king of mixed messages, seems almost desperate to keep her from discovering what’s on the other side of the guarded door at the back of the club.

Sliding out of her comfort zone and into Leo’s arms risks everything. Their friendship, the Vault, and most of all, their hearts.

Warning: This sex club does not carry the government’s stamp of approval. Contains devilish debauchery, delightful deviance, and dancing on the edge of the darkest of sexual desires.

Thoughts: This story was off to a great start with the overwhelming attraction between Leo and Shay – the sparks between them are scorching and with Shay’s sassy mouth ramping up the tension between them, it definitely had my attention from the very beginning. Bring in an illicit sex club hidden downstairs beneath the legitimate night club and bar, and things definitely get ramped up another couple of notches! It was definitely a hot and steamy title, and I loved not just the main characters of Leo and Shay, but also the other characters – Brute and TJ (who I am definitely looking forward to seeing in future books in the series!)

This was my first book from Eden, but with a book blurb like that who could resist reading this one! I will definitely follow the rest of this series (after all, I have to see what happens to TJ and Brute!!), and pick up her past titles as well. When it comes to the downside, my only complaint was that I thought it was a bit unrealistic for Leo to expect her to accept things within the lifestyle without having them fully explained to her. He expected her to be able to make informed decisions – yet never provided her with any information with which to make those decisions. Disregarding that, it was a great book and one a can’t wait to read the next installment of!

Shayna “Shay” Porter happens to work for Leo Petrova. They work at a place that if I knew the address I’d be packing my bags. You know the author is doing something right when the reader wants to pack up and travel to where the story is taking place. This story seems more believable, more real; because our couple has reservations and questions just like any normal couple would.

One thing I loved was the banter that Ms. Summers has created between our two main characters – had me chuckling. That’s just one more thing she does right. She knows what it will take to get her readers to laugh. This was why I loved how good Shay was at baiting Leo. It was that baiting that had me so captivated by this story – had to see what Leo planned to do.

Once I was caught in this author’s web it was very hard to break free. That moment didn’t come until I read the preview of the next book in this series. Our author also created a couple of secondary characters that left me wanting to know more about them – great incentive to follow what’s starting out to be a great series. Lucky for me that Union of Sin just came out. Now the heat level is pretty high so if you like your books really steamy you may just want to check out this book.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

A SHOT OF SIN is yet another wonderful story from the pen of eden Summers. A far cry from her rock star series, RECKLESS BEAT, the storylne revolves around an establishment that includes a restaurant, a bar and a hidden sex club. Although it is part of a series, A SHOT OF SIN can be read as a standalone.

It is obvious from the beginning that Leo Petrova and Shay Parter both have a "thing" for each other, but are unwilling to take their working relationship any further. Leo is obsessed with Shay, but doesn't want to tarnish her with his dark sordid ways. His harsh treatment of her being the only way that he can think of to remove her from being a temptation. Shay has other plans though, she is determined to break down his thickly built walls.

This is the first book in THE VAULT series, amd if it is anything to go by, this series is not one to be missed. Strong storylines, well developed characters and an exceptional writing style, will draw you in and continue to keep you there. It is hot, steamy and sensual, so prepare to fan yourself constantly while you read.

Brilliant Eden Summers.

A Shot of Sin is an exciting and sexy introduction to a new series by Eden Summers. From almost the first page Ms Summers thrusts the reader into a very different world than the rock stars I’ve become accustomed to. And I can’t lie…I enjoyed every second of the time I spent at the both Shot of Sin and Vault of Sin.

Leo and Shay had a chemistry that was evident from the very first page, but due to his somewhat alternative lifestyle and sexual preferences he had vowed to keep away from her. Shay is a woman who knows what she wants, and doesn’t take no for an answer. Watching this feisty and determined woman get what she wants was both fun and hot as hell!

Everything about this story is unlike anything I’ve read before – a bar and restaurant that act as the front for a sex club are just the beginning of the secrets that the three enigmatic owners – Leo, TJ and Brute are hiding.

Although a very different book to Ms Summers other works, just like everything else she’s written I found myself immediately transported to the world which she created, and read A Shot of Sin in one sitting because I simply could not put it down.
While, I’m looking forward to reading TJ’s story, if I’m honest it’s Brute that captured my attention, I really want to know what makes the big man tick, and what skeleton’s he’s hiding in his closest.

I ADORED THIS BOOK!
This is just another reason why I adore Eden Summers!
So different from her Reckless Beat boys - Shot of Sin was sexy and sultry and hot and just overflowing with emotions and feels and goodness!!
Leo and Shay were hilarious - I loved that they had already had an encounter with each other prior to the start of this book, I loved the way they taunted and teased each other, I loved their connection!
I just loved this book so much!
I cannot wait to hook into the next Vault addition!

5 plus stars and then some more...and then some more...and then a couple more!!!

What do you get when you combine equal parts sassy bartender, super-alpha club owner and his partners, and said club that is definitely more than meets the eye? You get A Shot of Sin, one ultra-sexy read about a very special club, the people that work there, and what goes on behind closed doors.

This was my first time reading a book by Eden Summers, and, oh, my goodness, what a way to start. I liked Shay Porter right away. Head bartender for the club, she's been wanting Leo Petrova, one of Shot of Sin's owners, since she first met him. Leo, though, isn't about to get involved with a co-worker, especially when his past experiences with relationships have always ended in heartache. These two are absolutely combustible, and I could not turn the pages quickly enough. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the relationship between Shay and Leo heat up, and absolutely loved both T.J. and Brute, Leo's partners in the club. If you're reading this, Eden, PLEASE give these awesome guys their books, too!

I give A Shot of Sin 4.5 sizzling stars, and hope that Eden has plans to give us more books about this lively group of characters, 'cause I'll be first in line to keep reading. Grab this one, guys, get out your fan, and enjoy!

This book intrigued me from the first page. I wanted to know more about the characters and their relationships. I was particularly fond of Shay. She is such a spitfire. In my opinion, Shay is someone that women can relate to; she’s independent and bold, yet she’s willing to meet Leo halfway when it comes to a relationship. Isn’t that what most women are looking for? A relationship that puts their needs in the equation as well as their man’s? It’s not a long book, but there was enough there for me to see that Shay does grow a little by the end of the book. I felt that Leo grew too; he understood that it was rare for a woman to be open to his sexual lifestyle and not run.

The story moved well and it kept me entertained. I enjoyed that it was straightforward yet offered a fun ride. The secondary characters played a wonderful role in this book. They were there to offer their support and criticism when needed, but also let us in on their own lives in subtle ways. Despite that it’s less than 200 pages, it read like a longer novel and it also left open room for the series to grow…and I hope it does because I want to know more about Brute and T.J. I also want to know how Leo and Shay’s relationship continues to bloom. Pick up a copy today and dive in! You will not be disappointed.

You know, I've been a fan of Eden Summers since I read book 1 of her Reckless Beat series a few months back. While I knew she could write amazingly, I honestly wasn't expecting Shot of Sin. She can write sexy time like nobody's business but Shot of Sin was that times a million. Holy moly...I honestly couldn't have predicted how much I'd enjoy Leo and Shay's story.

Shay herself took me a little time to get into but once the chemistry between her and Leo took hold, I was sold. Trying to desperately hold her own in a world she has no clue about and for Leo, trying to shield her from it in attempts to keep her from judging him negatively. I loved it! What also makes this book are Leo's best friends TJ & Brute. I'm very excited to see what happens next with all of them.

This is the first book in her newest series, Vault of Sin. If you're already of fan of hers you'll definitely not be disappointed. If you aren't a fan yet, trust me when I say, this book will make you one. Another great book to add to the list!

~this review may contain minor spoilers~

~Unbeknown to Shay, she'd proven she wasn't what he needed, no matter how much she thought she was. His sexual appetite was raw, demanding, and not suitable for someone with a narrow scope on pleasure.
In the few moments they'd shared, he'd seen her innocence. She wasn't a virgin by any means, but neither was she a female equipped to handle his desires.~

Leo Petrova is in a bit of a spot when he finds himself short one bartender in his underground sex club. His two best friends, and co-owners, Brute and TJ don't see what the problem is when they have a more than capable Bar manager in their upstairs bar that can work it. The trouble is, she has no idea about the club that runs underneath her feet. It doesn't help matters that Leo has wanted her since he hired her, but can't have her. It became clear very early on that she wouldn't be able to handle his sexual cravings and the last thing he wants is for her to discover exactly how deviant he can be – having her work downstairs in The Vault will do exactly that. But he is left with very few options and a cheesed off woman who simply thinks he doesn't believe she can handle the new responsibilities.

He used to be playful and flirty and charming...until the night he slid his hand into her pants and then backed away like he'd armed a bomb.
“Now I'm just another easy bar wench.”
“Excuse me?”
“I said, go fluck yourself.”

Shay Porter is sick of the games between her and Boss-man Leo. She wants him, has made no secret of it and she knows he wants her too-but for reasons unknown to her -he won't go there. When the opportunity arises to work in the top secret bar very few people seem to know about, Shay is all over it and doesn't understand why Leo is so against it... til she crosses the threshold. Now she has a decision to make, one that could change it all and risks everything. Does she have what it takes to make Leo happy? Does she take the chance and put her heart on the line?

~Why was this woman able to gain his attention when Shay had only been able to keep it for mere moments? Maybe her breasts weren't big enough. Maybe she was too short or had made herself appear too eager. Damn him. Whatever it was, she had to get over herself. No man had the right to make her feel worthless.
Fluck that.~

If there is one word that would encompass the journey that was this book, it would be intense. INTENSELY sexual, INTENSELY frustrating, INTENSELY emotional, INTENSELY heartfelt, just INTENSE. Right from the start it grabs your attention and refuses to let go, and I admit, I was a mixed up hott-mess of emotions. I was all over the place. Turned on, ticked off, heartbroken, frustrated and a tad disappointed at times. It took some time for me to warm up to Leo mainly because he came across as a bit of a hypocrite at times. He hates it when people judge him because of his sexual preferences, which I get, but he judges Shay and put her on the 'can't handle it' shelf after ONE brief encounter. He just wrote her off without giving her a chance. Now I get he has been burned in the past and that would make anyone a little cautious, but he was a little unfair in his quick judgment. My heart bled for Shay. It was about more than sex for her and the way he handled things really did a number on her confidence. It killed me to see her constantly think she wasn't enough for him and he did little to alleviate those fears as they tore her apart. That killed me. But I will give it to her-when she wants something bad enough nothing will stand in her way. We also get the added bonus of some pretty fantastic secondary characters, even if I wanted to choke one of them a few times. TJ stole my heart with his struggles and Brute was... well he was a cold-hearted hard-@$$. We eventually get to see past his hard shell enough to understand the man, but that doesn't mean that he didn't tick me off a few times. It really says something about the writing that I was pulled in so many extreme different directions and I connected with these people on a level that made them seem so freakin real to me. It was an insane journey that left me salivating for more at the end. It wasn't exactly a cliffhanger, but there was no mistaking there was more to come. I am very much looking forward to reading more about TJ & Brute, and I'm also hoping for more from Leo & Shay cause frankly, their story doesn't feel quite complete yet. I am sad to say that this is the first book I have read form Eden Summers but it definitely will not be the last. She has slammed her way onto my One-Click-Addiction List one blush, scream and tear at a time and I cannot wait to see what she brings us next.

“Enjoying sex doesn't make you a whore. Watching others play doesn't make you dirty. I promise you, Shay, you'll never be left wanting if you're with me.”

Happy Reading xo Jenn @ BookwormBetties

I really enjoy the Reckless Beat series from this author, but The Vault series just became my new favorite from Eden with A Shot of Sin! I was in a small book slump and this one was exactly what I needed. Leo, Shay, TJ and Brute sucked me into their secret world and I cannot wait for the next book!

Leo, TJ and Brute are best friends who co-own a restaurant and bar as far as the world knows. What only a select few people know is that they also own an exclusive invitation only sex club beneath the floors of the bar and restaurant. After the reactions each man has faced from family, friends and lovers in the past when they revealed their desires and kinks, they are justly very wary of letting new people judge them after being hurt too many times in the past. Each one has reacted differently- TJ observes from a distance, Brute shut down emotionally so completely that he has no capacity to care for anyone else's opinions anymore, and Leo refuses any relationships. Then Shay walks into their lives and has Leo reconsidering everything.

After one heated encounter in a storeroom, Leo thinks that he knows Shay's experience level and thoughts about him- too bad he is wrong. Although she has no idea about the club, she has been slowly falling in love with Leo since day 1 and their little storeroom interlude did nothing to discourage it. He is hot, built, confident, and has a dominant edge that gets her motor running in all the right ways. But when she is finally exposed to the Vault, she is caught off guard and reacts badly. Shay has always thought that she was open minded and feels confident and in control most days, but she is blindsided by her introduction to Vault of Sin and it causes her to have a bit of an identity crisis. Gone is the confident woman who can give as good as she gets, and in her place is a woman with a shaken belief system who questions every thought and decision.

Leo is torn between remorse at springing it on her when he knew how she reacts when she is surprised (basically lashing out at anyone in the vicinity) and anger at letting himself hope that she might not take a runner like every woman before her. Once she has had a chance to calm down, they start to actually communicate a little more- in between a few hot and steamy encounters of course- and try to figure out if there is a future for them. Shay is torn between what her body is telling her and what her mind has been trained to believe and constantly shuttles back and forth between 'do I or don't I' to the point I just wanted to scream at her to make a decision already. Brute doesn't help the situation with his attitude and so-called advice, making her overthink things even more than she already was.

When Shay finally agrees to keep an open mind and at least try to see where things may go between them, Leo is cautiously optimistic and slowly starts to push her boundaries a little more. Their journey is full of emotion for both of them, and there are just some smokin’ hot scenes along the way too.

As I said before, I absolutely loved this book and I cannot wait for the next book in the series. Both TJ and Brute have the potential for even more of an emotional journey, and I am betting there will be even more adventurous outings into the Vault in their stories- bring it on Eden, I will be anxiously waiting to see whose story is next!

Heated looks, flirtatious banter, friendship...Shay had fallen in lust and eventually love with her boss, Leo. After rounding second base with him in the stockroom, she thought of more while he kept his distance. Thinking she had a shot at normal with him, that all flew out the window when she was asked to temp in The Vault and got a punch to the gut when faced with Leo's...proclivities.

Shay was a great heroine. I liked that she spoke her mind often and as very upfront about her feelings. She was full of sass, sarcasm and sensuality, but when she got mad...her temper ran away with her and her mouth. That particular trait of hers wasn't annoying, I felt, because she was always honest about what was behind the urge to talk first, think later. What really got me was the vulnerability she openly displayed right from the beginning. She had actually laid all the cards out on the table; no playing games, and that was honestly so refreshing.

I liked Leo a lot, and I understood his reluctance to believe she would be different from his past girlfriends. He'd stated early on that he hated close-minded people who judged others for their lifestyles while observing from the outside. He even blew up a few times when Shay lashed out in anger and sadness, throwing something hurtful in his face. Ironically, I thought he'd done the same thing to her that he so despised. I agreed with Shay that Leo didn't give her a chance to adapt to the shock, and his reason for believing she couldn't handle it was based on a split second reaction to an unrelated event. He took the choice from her to ease her into it and good for her for calling him out on it.

Their chemistry was evident from the first page, and as story went on, the struggle for them felt very real. Despite the early perception, both mine and Brute's, that she'd do anything just to please Leo because of her crush, she wasn't completely remiss by acknowledging the tough questions she had to face. Their struggle was about weighing the pros and cons of either accepting or denying the other's sexual beliefs and walking the line of not changing their lover to fit into a box. Though kudos to Leo for actually contemplating giving that up if it meant having a shot at love.

I thought some things they "had to talk about" was a form of foreshadowing, and not of anything good. I kept expecting something horrible and heart-breaking to happen, yet nothing did. But in the end I was relieved that they powered through without fabricated angst. I look forward to T.J.'s story and hopefully seeing more of Leo and Shay. I would purchase and read this again.

Well Girls, get out your drool bucket & a fan.. You’re going to need it!!

Leo owns a club, a restaurant and.. an underground secret sex club.. Shay works for Leo in the club/restaurant and has no idea about the secret sex club. Shay is also in love with Leo.
He knows it, but he tries to avoid the issue because he doesn’t want her to know about his sexual needs. He is worried he will scare her off.
Things get taken out of Leo’s hands and Shay finds out everything. Although she feels no judgement towards Leo, she doesn’t know if she can embrace his lifestyle.
Shay must decide if the risk is worth the reward and work out if she can give in to his needs and be with him fully. She is stunned by her bodies reaction to what she sees but needs to get her mind on board too!!
To further complicate things Leo has two business partners, Brute and T.J. They also have an opinion of Leo and Shay’s relationship, mostly because if things don’t work out for Shay and Leo, they have as much
to lose as Leo does as far as the business is concerned.

As usual, I don’t want to give away too much of the story so I’m not going to say much else..
This book is not like any of the other Eden Summers books I have read, it is very, very different, and, I loved it!! It was fresh and new. I was captivated by Shay & Leo’s story right from the beginning. My only disappointment was that I got to the end!!
I would have been happy to keep reading their story for a lot longer!!
If you are an Eden Summers fan you have to get your hands on A shot Of Sin, Hell even if you have never read any of her other books I recommend you grab a copy of this one, it is a great place to start!!
You will not be sorry you did!!
Eden Summers has blown me away with this story and I can’t wait to see who’s story she tells next. I’m sure it will be worth the wait!

Definitely a fan of Eden Summers writing and this book does not disappoint. It is the first in a new series and really gets you hooked on the characters and the story line. The first book is about Leo and Shay. Leo sends mixed signals to Shay as he wants her but she doesn't realize that the club where she bartends actually has a sex club in the basement, which is Leo's preferred lifestyle. Long story short, if Shay doesn't overcome her hesitation with the club, then she can't have Leo; but convincing Leo that she accepts the lifestyle takes some doing on her part. Leo is definitely an Alpha and Shay is a vixen and hilarious. Would definitely suggest her books.

A guilty secret that would make their life happy or miserable.

Leo, along with his two best friends, owns a very private sex club. When they are in need of a replacement bartender for the club; Leo’s partners suggest the bar manager upstairs. Leo introduces her to the new and completely different scene in the club all the while readying himself for losing one more woman in his life because of this.

I was very much into the book from the start. It captured my attention with all the fun characters. Each character was so different but was an important part in the story as a whole. I loved Shay but at some point her attitude put me off and confused me. Leo was not the only one with an ego in this. Every now and then I would see Shay attitude come out. Men usually fawned and smothered her so I guess it is inevitable that you develop an ego.

That being said this story went smoothly and I truly enjoyed it.

This is not a low key BDSM book. It’s based around a sex club but it is not a hardcore BDSM book either. There was a lot of voyeurism and exhibitionism in it as well as a restraining scene and white hot passion that could burn.

A Shot of Sin is perfect for the erotic lovers who like their sassy, stubborn women but also likes to see hints of BDSM without it overpowering the story.

I have read just about everything by Eden Summers, so when the opportunity came to read an ARC of A Shot of Sin - the first in the Vault of Sin series, of course I said yes!

And boy am I glad I did.

A Shot of Sin is a double shot of pleasure.

Leo, TJ, Brute and Shay are a fun group, the witty banter between them is enjoyable and funny.

And holy hotness Batman! The sexual tension and attraction between Leo and Shay is off the charts! You can feel it rolling off them whenever they are in the same room! I loved that it isn't all easy for them, they fight for what they want. This just makes it all feel more realistic (anyone who has read my reviews knows I don't like it when it all happens too easy for our lovers!!)

The premise of the Vault is intriguing. It is not like the usual BDSM club we get in our books. I am very much looking forward to reading more about it.

TJ and Brute just make this all the better for me. We learn just enough about TJ to keep us on the hook for what I am assuming will be the second book in the series. My heart just shatters for him with the little that we have learned so far, and I for one cannot wait to learn more.

This is a fantastic start to this series, and am very much looking forward to see where Ms Summers takes us on this journey.

Whew...I'm still fanning myself from "that scene"! It's not that it was so graphic, just so erotic in the imagery...ugh...and actually I wasn't disappointed that the scene didn't go "there" yet...that would have been just too much for Shay...so kudo's on knowing when to stop Ms. Summers!!!

I am now seeking a "Vault of Sin" in or around the Detroit area...I'm willing to travel...LOL
My reviews don't contain the synopsis..so if you've read it, well then, you kinda know whats going on. With that said...here goes..
Leo is one of three owners, there is also Brute and TJ...yeah, so as you can see, minimum two more freaking hot, erotic stories! Can't wait.

A Shot of Sin, A Taste of Sin, and the Vault of Sin are on the same property, one is a bar, one is a restaurant, and well, one is a sex club. Shay, the head bartender above stairs, is in love with Leo, one of the owners, but there are rules. No dilly dallying between the employees...so Leo tries like hell to keep to himself until Shay is sent into the "vault" which is Leo's main domain.
What she sees, hears, and feels overwhelms and Leo just knows that there will never be anything more for him and Shay. Leo, well he isn't accustomed to a woman who knows what she wants and how to go after it.
So sit back, read, and enjoy this 4.5 Star erotically charged story

right where to start....

That blurb had me interested in the book and wanting to read it. There are some real hot scenes. and your partner will be glad you read the book...
a few negatives i have, the book seemed to go to fast, and needed to be a bit longer. And in my opinion, if Leo was meant to be Alpha Male, he seemed a little bit weak for me, wanted him to be more dominating...
other than that, great start to this series.

Wow – what a hot start to Eden Summer’s Vault of Sin series – A Shot of Sin. This is a book that hooks you in from the first page and I ended up reading it straight through. The Vault itself is a fantastic concept – a bar, a restaurant and an unknown sex club underneath is mouth watering and very enticing.

Leo Petrova is hot sexy hunk of masculinity and is also one of the three partners of the Shot of Sin where Shay Porter is the highly competent and sassy bar manager. By chance an opportunity to work in the private and mysterious downstairs club is offered to Shay by the other two owners – Bryan “Brute” and T.J. Against his better judgment, Leo allows Shay down into The Vault of Sin to work the bar and in doing so, lets her see the real Leo and in doing so, hopes she doesn’t judge him for his proclivities.

There is your requisite alpha-male with deep and dark passions and the beautiful woman in this story, along with hot sex, but there were also misunderstandings and an interesting story to keep those pages turning.

Eden has a wonderful gift to immerse her readers into the lives of Leo and Shay and the interactions with the other characters in the Vault of Sin series. I can’t wait to read T.J. and Brute’s story as Ms Summers has expertly set the scene for them so well.

Shot of Sin was sinfully good. And fast. There wasn’t time to blink with this one. I read it in one sitting. And that’s not a bad thing. There was immense sexual tension and chemistry that made this book feel very fast paced, but as a reader I didn’t feel cheated. Quite the opposite actually. The tension and chemistry never wavers and the characters were intriguing enough that I couldn’t stop reading. Eden hasn’t let me down yet and this book was what I have come to expect from her. Her characters and the set up always get my attention and then she blows me away with expertly written sex scenes and character dynamics. My mind jumps from “oh wow, this is hot” to “oh wow, I can’t stop and I want more”. I will be stalking her until I can get more in the Vault of Sin series. Leo and Shay were fantastic together and I was relieved that they found the happy in their relationship despite some fears and apprehensions about “downstairs”. And I have a bit of a soft spot for Brute, who seems to be as hard as his nickname but I have hopes for a soft center. And the third club owner, T.J. deserves some kind of happiness too, but I don’t think it will be an easy road for him to get there. I look forward to seeing what Eden Summers comes up with for these men.

I enjoyed getting to know the characters and why things happened the way they did. Leo and Shay are different in so many ways but also alike. Shay is feisty and enjoys her job. She has a fabulous set of people to work with and for and they all love her.

Shay is in the dark about a lot of things that happen in the very place that she works until she is asked to work in the place of someone. Her eyes are now open but is she too scared to give into her desires?

Leo is not really a playboy but he is very nice to his friends and ladies. Everyone wants him and some may want to be in his shoes. He has had an attraction to Shay for a long time but never acted on it. Will he stay around and pursue Shay to see if she is able to handle the real "Leo"?

I loved the way Shay handled the men in her life. She didn't put up with anything although the men were somewhat alpha, they were all her protectors. I enjoyed the interaction that Leo and Shay had and I was a little sadden that I didn't get a chance to know Brute and TJ more but hopefully in the next book I'll get a chance to know them. Brute is sweet but he's missing something that Shay can see and TJ is so lost in his head, he's not the person that he used to be.

This story is about the relationship of Leo and Shay. She has worked several months in the Shot of Sin Bar and Restaurant and in that time, has developed a strong crush on Leo, one of her bosses. Then comes the night they introduce her to the exclusive, secret sex club located on the lower level. To become closer to Leo, she must become comfortable in the club's environment.

After her first night, she begins to re-evaluate her own sexuality. The vision of sexual pleasure expands her knowledge of possibilities and the realization of this both tantalizes and scares her to death. But Leo needs her full acceptance without reservation if they are to have a future together. As they test each other and take baby steps into this new world, it is very entertaining to watch their dance. Fascinating to see how their attraction for each other and their struggle to deal with new beliefs of lifestyles molds and changes the both of them. I enjoyed seeing into Shay's mind as she tries to deal with her questions, fears, insecurities and her rationalization as she expands her boundaries. Very interesting reading experience. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. Five Stars.

This book was so great. Shay was ballsy and outspoken and I loved how she pushed Leo's buttons. Shay knew she was great and knew what she wanted and it made it hard not to like her. Leo tried resisting her and was worried about her rejecting and judging him for his interests. He didn't want her to see or find out about Vault of Sin and she didn't run away screaming she quit he stopped fighting. Shay found herself opening up to a whole realm of possibilities and experiences she never thought of before and it was a cool thing to see. I love this book and hope Brute's book is coming soon!

Shay is tough and a great bartender. She loves her bosses, especially Leo. When she learns the bar has a secret club underneath where she works, she realizes that Leo won't sleep with her because she is vanilla and he wants more. She offers herself to him in one of the dungeons and wins his heart. Despite being a fan of Eden Summers, I wasn't a fan of this book. The relationship between Shay and Leo felt fake, hard to believe they really felt something more for each other.

My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.

Shot of Sin: The Vault by Eden Summers is a book I want to love and be obsessed with. But I had several issues with it. One, it's from the third perspective which, and this is all me, don't enjoy reading. For some reason these books always lose my interest. Second, Shay seemed so one sided. Her only true character traits were being "sassy" and being in love with her boss. Leo seemed... weak for an alpha esque character. I want my sex obsessed alphas to be strong and powerful and Leo seemed weak and boring. Third... I want to know more about Vault of Sin and it's patrons... and that's where I will place my hopes. Lol. So, if your looking for a romance story with a bit of spice, this book is for you... but if your all into smut and dirty alphas maybe skip this one.

I have to admit that when Eden Summers announced her new Vault of Sin series I was excited yet nervous. Excited because the concept of a series based around an establishment that was a combination of dance club/restaurant on one floor and exclusive sex club below was new, fresh and certainly intriguing. But I was also nervous because I am so emotionally invested in her rock star series, Reckless Beat, and the men who make up the Reckless Beat Band, that I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the men in this new series. Would I enjoy their stories and love them, and lust after them, as much as Mitch, Mason, Blake, Sean and Ryan? Well, after reading A Shot of Sin, I can honestly say yes!

The three men/friends who run these clubs are Leo, T.J. and Brute. Each one of these men has paid the price for their open lifestyle by losing people close to them. All three of them are the type of guys that we ladies love to read about. Strong, sinfully sexy and full of angst, there is no doubt that you’ll want to change places with the heroine in each book and be the one to finally bring love into each of their lives.

The three clubs they own and run are Shot of Sin, which is the dance club, Taste of Sin which is the adjoining restaurant, and the Vault, which is the exclusive sex club below Shot of Sin. And while we don’t see a whole lot happening in Taste of Sin in this book I have a feeling it will come into play in another storyline.

Leo Petrova, a/k/a Mr. Tall, Tanned and Dominant, is no stranger to heartache. He has loved and lost before and there is no way he can handle another hit and run relationship. But from the day that Shay walks through the doors of Shot of Sin he can’t get her off of his mind. Shay is intriguing to him, with her saucy attitude and hot little body. But like I said, this isn’t Leo’s first rodeo. He knows what follows if he gets involved with someone who can’t handle his sexual preferences. And after one taste of Shay, he knows she is not for him. But that doesn’t stop him from wanting her, and for more than just a chance to get in her pants. He likes her, a lot. And isn’t it just a punch to the gut that the one person who has caught his attention is the last person he should ever be thinking about.

Shay Porter is a confident, feisty little thing. She comes off as being hard, but she tends to hide her insecurities behind the sarcastic remarks that come out of her mouth. She hasn’t had it great lately. She has bounced around from job to job but finally, at Shot of Sin, she feels like she has found a home. And she makes sure she proves her worth to the guys by working damn hard being the bar manager there. But that isn’t the only thing she is trying to prove. She wants Leo Petrova in the worst way. But after one hot, lust filled encounter in the storage room she finds that instead of him wanting to ravage her again he avoids her like the plague, and for good reason. There are things about Leo Shay doesn’t know, and she learns just what those are when she fills in at the bar down in the Vault. Even though she doesn’t understand that side of Leo, that doesn’t stop her from trying to prove to him that she is the one for him. And the more she tries to prove that to Leo, the more she starts to learn some things about herself. The real question is whether Shay can ultimately embrace this new found part of herself enough to be the woman that Leo truly needs.

I highly recommend A Shot of Sin! It is sinfully hot and a smokin’ start to what I know will be another great series from Eden Summers.

**I received an ARC for an honest review.**

This was a quick and super sexy read. I like that Vault of Sin wasn't filled with depraved and gritty sex, but it was really just about exhibitionism and it was oh so sexy.

I really enjoyed the characters and the fact that you could feel their attraction to one another right off the bat. I enjoyed to dual narration. I love getting a males feelings when reading sexy romance. I liked that Leo was just was affected by Shay as she was affected by him. I really enjoyed when they both reached the point of no return and could not deny their attraction any longer.

I thought that the characters could have done with a little more backstory or just a little more something into their pasts, but at the same time for the quick pace of this book it worked well.

I am curious to see what will come next in the Vault of Sin series. I am really curious about T.J. and Brute's characters and can only assume their stories are next.

This book was an intrigue from start to finish. It catches you and all you want to do is read it to see what happens next.

Shay works in the front of a bar but knows there is something going on behind the back door. She is wondering if she will ever get an invite by Leo.

Leo wants Shay but doesn't know if she will accept the other part of his life.

When circumstances are face where Leo has no choice but to take Shay behind the back door he is not sure if their friendship will be stronger or will ruin it.

The love/hate relationship that the two have is a great combination.

Can't wait for the next one in the Vault of Sin series.

Can you say....Hot enough to melt my Kindle & my panties!

I have read every book Eden Summers has written, and they are all cold shower inducing, in need of more batteries, fabulously fantastic reads, but, Shot of Sin, that is absolutely THE hottest book by far!

Leo & Shay in the closet...'nuff said! (yeah you will have to read it-I'm not telling)

This book follows Leo & Shay's story, although we do get hints of Leo's partners at the Vault, Brute and T.J. and I can't wait to read more about them. Shay works for Leo and his partners as a bartender in their nightclub Shot of Sin. She has a thing for her boss, but has never really crossed the line..until now. When she does cross the line, she crosses it by miles! Shay discovers her inner bad-girl with the help of Leo and his very private club, Vault of Sin.

Wowza! This is a scorcher!!! I totally thought this was gonna be about a girl obsessed with her boss by the way it started out. Oh. Boy was I wrong. Shay is an independent woman in pure lust with one of her bosses. She is to stubborn and proud to outright admit it to him or anyone else, but her traitorous body can't lie. Once she lets go of all of her inhabitions, it's on like popcorn. And Leo, that Alpha sex maniac will he ever be able to be a one woman man. Shay definitely tests his limits. They both have to be willing to accept each others as is. That's the hard part! GRAB THIS EROTIC ROMANCE and find out how they end up. You will be fully sated and sensually satisfied!

A super steamy, sexy novel from Eden Summers!
Leo and Shay had an explosive and dynamic chemistry! They were sinfully hot and steamy, all the while drawing readers in to more than just their physical attraction to one another!
This novel is the first in the series called The Vault, and if this book is any indication, the next will be so hot that your kindles will catch on fire!
I definitely loved this novel, and I can't wait to read more from Eden in the future!
4/5 Stars!

Holy hotness! Another amazing book by Eden Summers! Leo is panty drenching HOT! I love Shay's attitudes! Her independant don't take crap attitude, then her soft vunerable side too. She got an eyeful when she went down into the Vault of Sin for the first time. There are interesting directions the story was going and it just kept getting hotter and hotter. You, the reader is learning the club just like Shay is and going Wow! with everything being revealed.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would! This book is hard to put down till the end and then your yearning for more of Leo and Shay.? Hopefully they'll still play a fun role in more upcoming books in this series. I can't wait to read the books about T.J. and Brute!?

Loved this book, bought second immediately after reading it! Hot, erotic, boundary pushing read. Gave me a different perspective on some sexual kinks. Shay is sassy and vulnerable at the same time. Leo comes across as vulnerable too. Love story is complicated and intense. Gets erotically sexy and a little angsty.

A Shot of Sin is exactly what this story entails! It gives you a shot of seeing what is to come from this series! Shay is an amazing bartender and her 3 bosses are hot as sin! But one boss in particular is the one is wants but isn't sure she can have or keep. Leo runs his restaurant/bar and club with his two best friends and his main bartender is all he can think about! He wants her but isn't so sure he's good enough for her or that he won't hurt her in the long run! There is a connection, a bond or if you will a drawl between Shay and Leo that they can't deny, but can they make it? I lived this story and can't wait for more!

Eden Summer made this book so intrigue that you are hook from start to finish. You are on edge of your seat to see what they do next. The characters are a wonderful collection of being outspoken and Alpha. We meet Shay who speak her mind and does not like when she feels out of control. When Shay meets Leo at the Vault. She is having a really hard time getting him out of her head, even if half the time he is driving her crazy. The intense attraction that Shay and Leo are both fighting, will they give into the urges. Love Brute and T.J and can’t wait to see more about them. Highly recommend this book and more to come.
