How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

Graddaugter loves this book and wanted it read to her every night no matter the month! We have had this book at our house since her father was her age(three) and she wanted to take it home with her. Instead, I ordered one from the store(in August) and had it delivered to her home. She was delighted.

This is a wonderful Christmas story that gets to the heart of Christmas in a manner that is accessible even in a public school setting where a religious story would be inappropriate. I just read this yesterday with my son's preK class. Afterward we did a craft and I had printed a quote from the story on their project name tag that sums it up well:
"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store."
"Maybe Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more!"

How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a classic. It's a perfect book to read at Christmas, and a great conversation starter for what Christmas should really be about. This binding of the book is sturdy, and features a reflective cover. I know my kids will be reading this one for many years to come.

Such an amazing book! Bought this for the preschool where I work. Cover is beautiful and pictures are wonderful. Although the drawings of the Grinch are a little bit scary-looking it's still a charming book and I can't wait to read it to my students!

I purchased this for my daughter to make sure that she had the timeless classic in her own set of books. You can never go wrong with Dr. Seuss and she is living proof of that, as she absolutely adores the book and the story.

For my grandson, Charlie, who just loves the Grinch. He's really a Jim Carey Grinch fan, but I want him to be read the classic. Shipping was super quick, to a somewhat remote part of PA even in snow!

Being a teacher, I have read this personal favorite story many times to my class, and have enjoyed the cartoom on TV. I've always wanted to own a copy of it and the book to compare/contrast. Well, this year I saw the movie with Jim Carey and comparing it to the classic video, I felt Seuss must be turning over in his grave! It cannot compare to the wonderful cartoon that captures the whimsical drawings and fabulous rhythm of Seuss' words. This year my students did compare/contrast the book and video cartoon, and really learned much from it. Seuss always has a great message, and this one about giving and materialism is right up there!
