I love Felicity and everything her books have to offer.... I love the dark world that Vail pulls himself through to be with his "little wild rose" so again another beautifully put together story you can't help but get lost in :)

This book could have been amazing with the hero being the former villain. The book started off well and ended somewhat well. But, over 100 pages were a chore to get through. Not only was it extremely repetitive, chapter after chapter were almost verbatim. I really enjoyed the first books in the series, but this one could have been done in about eight chapters. It appeared Heaton was under deadline and just rambled on through the majority of the book.

Felicity Heaton definitely did not disappoint in this third installment of the eternal mates series... it was a bit darker, conflicting and emotional.
This is the story of our Mad Elf Prince... he finally meets his eternal mate. The bad part is that she is the very thing he hates and fears the most... a witch.
Vail was enslaved and tortured by a witch for 4000 yrs and forced to do horrible and unforgiveable acts against his own people. Even though he is now free he is still haunted and very much controlled by his past demons. He is in constant turmoil over his desire to love his mate but also his hate for her being a witch. He wants to both kill her and love her... an internal battle between dark and light. My heart went out to poor Rosalind. She was in a constant state of confusion and his behavior towards her was hurtful. I was very proud of her when she finally took a stand. They were the perfect match in the end... she was his light in the dark. And, he, in a small way, was the same for her.
This book is a roller coaster ride of emotional ups and downs. Slowly watching Vail come to terms with his past and learn to open himself up to trusting and loving his kiara was no easy task.
I will admit that the internal dialogue of Vail drove me crazy at times... but, I guess that is the point... I definitely felt his conflict and it was appropriate considering his past. His character had to be so hard to write... and, I thought the author handled it beautifully.
The end is what sealed my 5 star rating. I seriously got all choked up... big tears I tell you! There is something about a tortured hero finding his HEA that has me reaching for my Kleenex! I'm a sucker for these characters... gets me every time! His character reminds me of Zsadist in the BDB series... yep, cried like a baby when he found his HEA too.
Anyway... LOVE this series... can't wait for more!

Wondering the demon realm alone is not always the best idea, even if you are an elf prince warrior who can kick ass. Vail gets captured by the new demon King, who quickly realizes who Vail is. Hoping to use Vail against his enemy to win the war, the King will do anything to get Vail over to his side. Beating Vail over and over only to have a little witch heal him does not break Vail, it only brings him closer to the small witch. Being touched by a witch is almost more than the mad elf prince can take. On the verge of going completely dark with no hope of coming back, Vail pushes Rosalind away but then pulls her closer when he is sane enough to realize she is his mate. For many years Vail was tricked by a witch who he thought was his one and only mate, but was nothing but an evil conniving bitch. Trust is not something he can do or give to any witch but Rosalind tries to change that in him. Escaping prison they are stuck together but when Vail has his full powers back he is unwilling to let Rosalind have hers. Discovering love and fighting his way back from the edge are only two things that Vail and Rosalind both endure in this gripping continuation of this great series.

I'm playing catch up on Felicity Heaton's Eternal Mates series due to how fast Felicity is pushing out the books for this series. I had a really busy summer that prevented me from reading the books I wanted to read, so I'm playing catch up on one of my favorite series from Felicity. Let's just say reading them back to back is perfect to feed my addiction of this series that Felicity created.
Felicity knows how to write an amazing story with her world building and amazing characters. Tempted by a Rogue Prince is no different from her writing style, in fact she managed to give me more characters to add to my favorites to follow from her.
I have been wanting to read Vail's story since he was introduced in the first book. Poor Vail has been under the control of a witch for 42 centuries and during that time he was at war with his brother. Now he is trying to escape his past, but it's kind of hard when he was captured by demons from the fifth realm. Their king wants Vail to do something for him but Vail doesn't want someone controlling him ever again. He wants to escape and end the pain he has caused with his brother. He will need the help of other prisoners, one that he should hate due her kind, but it's kind of hard to hate her when he has feelings for her.
If you haven't read the first book in the Eternal Mates series, you will miss out on the introduction of Vail into the series. (This is why I highly recommend reading this series in order. You don't want to miss out on certain characters. Felicity has secondary characters get their books later on). But...Felicity sure does an amazing job retelling snippets of what happened in the first book with Vail and his brother in Tempted by a Rogue Prince.
Rosalind is a strong female lead in Tempted by a Rogue Prince and she is tested constantly with Vail due to his issues with witches. He has every right to have issues, but Rosalind is nothing like his captor was. She has such a soft heart and she just wants to help Vail get over his issues. Unfortunately, he is not going to let her in so easily. She has her own issue and that issue may end up being Vail. ***Broken hero...who needs a strong-willed female heroine to get him through it all....but of course there are difficulties with it.
I could go on and on, but I don't want to give anything away. I also could go on and on about how much I adored Tempted by a Rogue Prince. The only reason it's not getting a full 5 moons is because of how sometimes the story drug on in certain parts...but that didn't stop me from continuing. Let's just say the ending had me in tears during the road trip while I was reading Vail's and Rosalind's story. ***Be prepared for the tissues***
I give this book 4.5 moons and highly recommend it to paranormal romance readers out there. Felicity is one author who can push books out like crazy, so be prepared to be able to read stories back to back. =)
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

He was filled with darkness with a sliver of light. She was of light with a sliver of darkness. A Perfect Match…
Vail has been tortured by a dark witch for around 4200 years not only physically but mentally. He was enslaved by this witch to do her bidding at whatever the cost. Due to this when the witch dies he develops a hatred of witches. He goes about killing any being with magic. Then he gets captured by the fifth realm.
Rosalind is a white witch captured in the battle between the third realm and fifth realm. She is used by the fifth realm for healing wounded soldiers. Her Latest patient is the Rogue Elf Prince, Vail. When she was taken to Vail to heal him, she wasn’t told anything about her patient. A bond is forged between them which helps to heal both of them not only physically but mentally as well. He escapes the fifth realm with Rosalind in tow since this bond just wouldn’t allow him to leave the beautiful witch.
Thankfully, this can be read as a stand-alone book. I haven’t read the first two books but for me it doesn’t feel like this is the third book of the series. However, I do think I will be going back and reading the first two. This book is that good. The location of this story is in Hell. At least, that’s the impression I got from the detail in the writing. More specifically, the seven realms of Hell. This elevated the story. A brief history is given about what has happened and what is happening. The blend between both of this is very appropriate. The writing style is very good.
What I absolutely loved about both the characters is that they want to help each other and others. What stops them is the darkness in them. The bond between them heals it. Vail wants to protect her, make her happy. But the fact that she is a witch is not that easy for him to get past. Rosalind is a light witch but her powers have been used for dark purposes that put an additional barrier between them. What confused me a little while reading the book is…I couldn’t determine what was the main plot in this story. Is it the journey that both of them take or is it stopping fifth realm king or lord or whatever from using them or controlling them? The question gets answered completely by the end.
I loved how the relationship between both of them developed and how Rosalind tries to help Vail to recover his light. The little bits they give to each other. The tiny steps they take toward each other. It is believable because Vail has been tortured for a long time, in every way possible. There are torture scenes, too. So, this book is not for the faint hearted. Readers need to be prepared for that. I cried with them and laughed with them and smiled when they take a step towards each other. While it’s an intense and dark storyline, it’s not all about the battle scenes or torture scenes or romantic scenes.
An elf prince and a white witch with darkness in them. Epic battles and just the right amount of romance with a good dose of fantasy. Urban Fantasy at its finest.

Held together only by a strong sense of survival and the distant light of his brother's love, Vail battles between sanity and madness. At times I get the feeling he finds some escape through the madness as his reality of the last several thousand years has been so horrific. This deep abyss of madness was caused by a witch who had not only enslaved vail, but had him turn violently against his own kind and those he loved.
Felicity Heaton's heart breaking and mesmerizing story of Vail, the third in the Eternal Mates Series has been long awaited by many fans, including myself. The hypnotic world she has built up in this series (also a part of the Vampire Erotic Series realm), is further expanded to include the fifth realm. The king of this world is at war with Loren (elf Prince and Vail's brother) and Thorn (DemonKing), from the first two books in the series. The new king of the 5th realm seeks to use Vail against his brother and holds him hostage in his dungeon. Here Vail continues to vacillate between madness and sanity, leaving most of the other inhabitants and prisoners wanting to keep their distance.
Rosalind is a witch who we were introduced to in the previous books and is captured in Book 2. Also a prisoner of the 5th realm Rosalind is forced to use her powers as a healer for the king's warriors. She is terribly abused and tortured by her captors.
Felicity's clever plot has Rosalind sent in to heal Vail, whose very existence holds a major hatred of witches. How confusing for a mad elf Prince who finds himself recognizing the pretty witch as his "Kiera", his fated mate (I love that word).
I really love Rosalind, she has held onto her sanity and strong sense of self, as well as a bit of sassiness, despite her dire situation.
Her major fear is a prophesy that predicts she will die shortly after meeting an Elven Prince. She is an admirable and likable heroine who in book two played a major role in helping Loren and Thorne remove barriers preventing transportation in and out of the realms.
Vail and Rosalind must escape and embark on a journey that will prove to be both mentally and physically challenging.
Much of the story is told through Vail's inner dialogue as we ride his roller coaster of sanity to madness. Still a strong warrior finding a need to protect Rosalind, he has to mend his mind and soul, fight the urge to not harm her when the madness takes over, and allow her "in".
At times his bouts between clarity and madness are exasperating but I truly believe that is the effect the author was aiming for. It makes his road to healing and growing ability to love Rosalind and mend his fences with his brother, even sweeter.
This story is definitely a bit darker than the first two, but I figured that would be the case knowing Vail's past. He has been an intriguing character since the first book and brings out the let's heal this bad tortured soul in all us heroines.
I did enjoy the interaction of the many main and secondary characters in the first two books. In Rogue Prince, Vail and Rosalind make up the majority of the book. Their love and the romance takes a bit longer to come to fruition as there is so much for them to overcome, and it is all worth the build up.
So by healing Vail, of course Rosalind is also heals herself. Along with Rosalind I believe the readers also grow to love Vail and I swooned a bit every time he calls her his "Wild Rose".
As the many characters in this series have stories and timelines that interconnect and are introduced in a definite order, I highly recommend reading the books in order.
Another awesome, amazing book by Felicity Heaton that combines all the wonderful, heartbreaking, passionate, romantic, exciting, suspenseful elements that will hypnotize and capture us once again.

I was first introduced to Felicity Heatons work when I read Kissed by a Dark Prince and since then I have tried to read as much of her books as I possibly can. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Kissed by a Dark Prince (the first book in the Eternal Mates series) that I could not wait to see where Ms. Heaton was planning to take the series. After reading the second book I thought to myself, I need more. I was hoping the third book would have been Bleu's story as I fell in love with him from reading the first book. When I found out it would be Vail's story I was fascinated as I was curious to find out if this tortured soul will at last get an HEA.
What fascinated me about Vail is the daily struggles he faced in trying not to give into his dark side, which he failed at most of the time. This was due to no fault of his, as he was under the control of a dark witch. As a result of his enslavement he came to hate witches and magic. Ironically, his eternal mate is a witch, named Rosalind, which was evident from the previous stories and I was curious to see how his story would unflow.
Vail is conflicted. He is torn between his desire to kill Rosalind and his need to protect her. Rosalind is good for Vail. She is not afraid to stand up to him even when it seems he would end her life. She helped to keep him grounded and focused during his manic episodes. She had her own demons, dealing with but she is not willing to give up on him. Rosalind is willing to protect Vail even at the risk of her own life. She wants to heal his mind and subsequently his heart.
The premise of the story is good and I dived in with both feet, however, unfortunately it did not grab me the way I was expecting it to. Based on my experience with the previous installments, I was expecting a fast paced and exciting story. Well, that was not to be the case. It took me longer than normal to complete it. I guess it is because it's a bit too dark for my taste and there were times I felt I was going around in circles due to the constant repetition.
For me this was an ok read and the least favourite of the series. Inspite of this I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

I absolutely love paranormal romance, and Felicity Heaton is definitely a go-to author for that genre for me. Her stories are so well written and complex (and freaking hot too), and her latest release is no different. Tempted by a Rogue Prince is the third book in the Eternal Mates series, a series I’ve come to love more and more with each book I read. I had high expectations for this book because, hello, it’s VAIL’S book, and Felicity Heaton absolutely did not disappoint! I wholeheartedly LOVED Tempted by a Rogue Prince!
Vail’s book was one of my highly anticipated releases–ever since Vail was introduced in Kissed by a Dark Prince (book 1), I wanted him to have a story, a HEA, so badly. Vail, also known as the Mad Elf Prince, is the brother of Loren (from Kissed by a Dark Prince). Vail had been under the control of an evil witch for 42 centuries, but after the events in Claimed by a Demon King (book 2), he’s free from her control, but broken and devastated by the damage he’s done in those 42 centuries. He holds so much darkness and guilt for the number of people he’d killed under the witch’s control, and he’s one of the most tortured characters I’ve ever read. My heart broke so much for Vail–for his guilt, suffering, and self-loathing. His story is definitely not an easy one, but I was riveted from beginning to end.
In Tempted by a Rogue Prince, Vail wakes up in the cells of the Fifth Realm, and it’s there that he meets Rosalind, a captured witch who has been forced to heal demons. Vail hates her on sight–after experiencing millennia under a witch’s control, he would never allow himself to be subjugated under another one. But Rosalind turns out to be Vail’s ki’ara, his fated female, so Vail is understandably conflicted. A witch ruined his life, so how could he fall for one?
Rosalind was such a great heroine. She was the perfect match for Vail, despite being a witch, or maybe because she is one. She’s tough–she’s had to endure being in the hands of the demons of the Fifth Realm and survive. She has a great heart, and that heart makes her want to help Vail, even knowing he might kill her. She herself holds guilt for killing in the war, even though it was to protect herself and her friends.
Both Rosalind and Vail have good reasons for staying away from each other, but they also have an undeniable chemistry. I was so impressed with the direction Felicity Heaton took their story. Vail needed to be handled firmly but delicately after over 4,000 years of being controlled, and that’s exactly how Rosalind is with him. He’s incredibly vulnerable, yet strong at the same time. I loved how well written Vail’s emotional turmoil is–it made my heart ache to see how he goes back and forth between wanting to kill Rosalind for being a witch and protecting her because she’s his mate. And poor Rosalind, having to deal with Vail. But I loved her for not backing down from him, even though he scared her. Their relationship grew at the perfect pace–so they don’t get hot and heavy quickly. (But when they do, it’s HOT. It’s Felicity Heaton, so what else needs to be said?)
Tempted by a Rogue Prince is an emotional, heart-wrenching roller coaster that fans of the series won’t be disappointed with. Vail and Rosalind’s story has easily become my favorite of the series so far, and it’ll be tough to top them. But since Felicity Heaton does PNR so well (I’m always so impressed with the world-building, the characters, the fight scenes, everything!), I have no doubts I’ll love anything more from this series.

Wow! Just, wow! The Eternal Mates series is one of my favorites and each book just makes me love it more. I was hooked by Kissed by a Dark Prince then after reading Claimed by a Demon King I thought that Heaton couldn't possibly create a better story, but I was wrong folks! Tempted by a Rogue Prince is now at the top of my favorite paranormal/fantasy book list. Vail, aptly known as the "Mad Elf Prince", tore my heart to shreds. I had to consistently tell myself to suck those tears back in. Be strong. It's a story. It's not really happening. Let me tell you, none of that helped. If you are sensitive to the suffering, torture, and self loathing of a strong male character, Vail just may leave you a quivering and blubbering mess. Oh my heavens, Heaton got me good with this one. I loved every one of the tear dabbing, snot sniffing scenes with Vail. I loved this book so much that I don't even know where to begin or how to properly convey just how much I appreciated the journey Heaton took me on.
Both Vail and Rosalind are confused by and fighting against prophecies dictated to them regarding their mates. Vail knows that his mate was to be a witch and after what he suffered at the hands of Kordula he wants nothing more than to destroy anyone who embodies the same magic that was used against him. Rosalind on the other hand is living with the knowledge that when she finds her mate it will lead to her death. Neither is looking for or wanting a mate and under the circumstances that they find themselves love is the last thing on their minds.
You get a strong engrossing story way before you get the sexiness with this one. There isn't a real sex scene until after the 60% mark and I assure you that you won't miss it. Keeping Vail and Rosalind from coming together physically until later is especially important to the realism of their story. There simply is no way that Vail could have been open to a real relationship with Rosalind after suffering through over 4,000 years of being controlled and tortured by a dark witch. Rosalind was a perfect blend of compassion with a strong sense of morality and strength, intelligence, and perseverance.
We are also introduced to an incubus by the name of Fenix, a new secondary character that I now need to read more about because his story will revolve around a horrible curse that could also be another awesome ride. Heaton is good at throwing these little firecrackers into her story that peaks your interest, leaves you wanting to know more, but somehow still doesn't take away from the main story at hand. Yes, Felicity Heaton is a tease of a writer, but I love her for it. If you are a paranormal romance fan do yourself a favor and start this series now. The stories are engaging, both the male and female characters are dynamic, interesting, and multi-layered, and best of all the series is still at the beginning and there are set ups for many more stories to come. I'm am now anxiously awaiting stories for Bleu, Grave, and now Fenix. Oh, the sweet, sweet, pain of waiting for a favorite character's featured story. The next book in the Eternal Mates series is Hunted by a Jaguar it will be Kyter/Iolanthe's story and is due January 2015 so you have plenty of time to read the first three books and be all caught up for it's release.

This is the third book in the Eternal Mates Series. I loved it!
Vail is a very complex character. He is the younger brother of Loren. I was unsure whether I liked him when I first met him in Kissed by a Dark Prince, which was the first book in the series. However, after reading this story and getting to know him better, I have since changed my mind about him. Vail's battle with his darkness actually made me admire him.
Rosalind is a wonderful character. I loved her bravery on the battlefield during the war between the Demon King (Thorne) of the Third Realm and the Demon King of the Fifth Realm in Claimed by a Demon King. Captured and forced to heal demons of the Fifth Realm, she now finds herself having to heal a stranger and fighting her attraction for him.
I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this book, as I have fallen in love with this series.
Vail's story is not an easy one to read, as his past has been a tortured nightmare. The abuse that he endured for all those years would have broken any man. However, Vail has fought his abuser's hold and, even though severely damaged, has managed to hold on to his sanity with clawed finger tips. Rosalind is light to his dark. She is a born healer, but even she cannot heal the deep wounds left by Kordula, the witch that had abused Vail.
This story is told from both Vail and Rosalind's points of view, which gave me a better understanding of their lives. I liked how Vail gave Rosalind a nickname without him knowing her name at first, and I found this to be very touching. There was also another character that was introduced; an incubus called Fenix. I liked this laconic incubus, and I hope to read his story soon.
This story has a lot of violence in the form of torture and fighting, but there are also moments of tenderness and sweetness between the two main characters, which balances the tale. The characters are well developed and lifelike, and I could imagine the scenes in my minds eye with ease. There are several twists and turns in this tale, which kept me hooked from beginning to end. I found myself on an emotional roller coaster throughout the book; in several places I burst into tears. The end of the story left me smiling though, and I am now looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Felicity Heaton has written another fast paced, sexy paranormal romance that I thoroughly enjoyed! I love her writing style, which flows effortlessly from scene to scene. She is number one on my favourite authors list!
I do not recommend this book to younger readers due to the extremely HOT and explicit sexual scenes. However, I highly recommend this book (and series) if you love sexy paranormal romances full of vampires, elves, werewolves, succubi, incubi, angels, dragons and demons. - Lynn Worton

I have been excited for Vail’s book since this series had started. When I inquired about him, I was promised, no, I was warned that Vail is a tortured hero and that it will be a dark story. Frankly, I was doubtful that I’d like him since he had brought on so much destruction. I will admit that I was wrong and I admit that I loved Vail and his story more than I expected. I suppose, I shouldn’t have been doubtful because Ms. Heaton has yet to disappoint me.
Sure enough, Vail’s story is very dark. Ms. Heaton did him justice by telling her readers what he has gone through and gave him a chance at a happy-ever-after. By the end of this book, I understood his past and why he is so f*cked in the head. Who wouldn’t be? Vail’s past had been nothing but grief. He’s was captured, slaved, beaten, and raped by a powerful witch. Now that she is dead, Vail is captured again by his brother’s enemy. But rest assured, being captured this time around is the best thing that ever happened to him. Well, meeting Rosalind, his Eternal Mate is the best thing that will ever happen to him. But it is during this captivity that he meets her for the first time.
It was in the prophecy that Rosalind will die by the hands of the Mad Elf Prince. She too was captured by the King of Demons in the Fifth Realm. Being a witch and healer, she was forced to heal others but also treated in the same manner as Vail. Yes, she was beaten and forced to do the King’s bidding; that includes healing the man who is said to kill her. But Rosalind is kind and she will always do the right thing.
My heart broke for Vail and Rosalind. They went through hell. Nothing in their lives ever came easy and they would have to fight hard to get finally what they want. I have to say that there were scenes that were hard from me to read. I cringed at the thought of their beatings, my stomach lurched at the thought of what Vail had to do for Kordula and the thought of what he lost was truly heart-breaking. Rosalind was a good pair for him. She understood his mental anguish and scars and knew exactly how to take care of him. Heaton did an amazing job with their story. There’s nothing like a good love story where both hero and heroine finally gets a well-deserved ending.

**Note: There are no spoilers for this book, but are slight spoilers for previous books in the series.
This is book three in the Eternal Mates series. Vail is our severally tortured hero of this story. We met him in book one where he had spent thousands of years under the control of an evil witch and was forced to be at war with his brother and the rest of the elves. This witch had tortured him and left him without much of his sanity. Needless to say, he doesn't have much use for witches now that he has finally escaped her clutches.
Our heroine was introduced in book two. Rosalind is a witch and a bit of a hermit. She especially avoids elves. It was foretold that she would die at the hands of an elf, so she has refused to spend any time around any elves to make sure she doesn't meet up with the specific elf that is supposed to kill her. Fate has something different in mind for both our hero and heroine.
When they are both captured and held together in a prison and Rosalind is forced to heal Vail, she has no choice but to be around the elf as he is forced to be around the witch. Their time in the prison, which would be enough on its own, is made much more difficult as they both deal with their hatred of the other species.
Rosalind and Vail are fated mates, so they feel a connection from the start. However, Vail doesn't take to this very well. The evil witch trapped him by convincing him that she was his fated mate. So when Rosalind shows up as his actual mate, Vail instantly feels it is another trick. As they work together to escape the prison, along with the help of an incubi, we see their relationship bloom and the mistrust between them dissipate.
This was the darkest story in series so far. Since I like dark stories and tortured heroes or heroines, this was a great story for me. I love the look into Vail's head. Heaton does a great job portraying his forays into and out of his bouts of madness. The worldbuilding is just as good as the previous books, which is wonderful. She really does a great job with the descriptions to make you feel like you are actually their.
The cast of characters in this book is really small. For the most part, the story is just Vail and Rosalind, along with the incubi that was also imprisoned with them. I'm a big fan of secondary characters. They can make or break a story for me. However, the lack of secondary characters in this book didn't make the story suffer at all. Vail is such a complex character, he and Rosalind were able to hold your attention without the extra characters in the story.

Favorite Lines “Regardless of how she had felt a few days ago, when she had thought he could tell her how to cope with the pain of having taken lives, she could never tell him. It was her burden to bear. Her sin. He had enough of his own.”
He only knew the darker side of emotions. He knew pain and rage, fury and hatred. They filled him and ruled him, made him who he was now.”
“Little Wild Rose. His ki’ara. His breath lodged in his throat, trapped there by her beauty and brightness. She was too bright. Too pure. Too good for him.”
“Not the bond. Little Wild Rose wants me… as I want her.”
“Because you deserve some good in your life to help wash away the bad. You deserve to be… loved.”
“I… um… I,” she stammered and her blush deepened. Her gaze leaped off to her left. “Was staring at my backside?” he offered. She scowled at him. “I think I liked you better when you didn’t say much and mostly growled at me.”
“We were always family, Vail. We never stopped being brothers.”
“Now I am like my Little Wild Rose and I desire only to live.”
"She had shown him how to love again and how to live again. She had given him everything. She was his now, and he was hers. And they would finally have their forever.”
Yes, I went way overboard with my favorite lines but, the book was just that amazing! Emotional, powerful, fierce, beautiful, sad, happy, loved, and so much more. I've been so curious about Vail, in every book something about him drew him to me. I don't know if it was viciousness or his torment but whatever it was I needed to know more! In walks Little Wild Rose (Rosalinda) she also tormented by nightmares from the battle that brought her to the demon prison where she is made to heal this beautiful elf.
She is the perfect witch for Vail. He may not know or believe it in the beginning. There were a couple of close calls but Vail stepped up like the Prince and Mate I knew he could be!
Rosalind is the perfect match for him. This author comes up with the best couples they balance each other out perfectly and fight for there love!
I can't wait see what she comes up with next, I will be waiting on pins and needles for the next book in this series. I know she won't let us down!
Bravo Felicity Heaton on another spectacular book!! He writing is one of a kind.
<b>RECOMMEND FOR ALL WHO LOVE YUMMY PARANORMAL ROMANCE BOOKS!!

TEMPTED BY A ROGUE PRINCE is the third instalment in Felicity Heaton’s Eternal Mates paranormal romance series. This is demonic elf prince Vail and light witch Rosalind’s storyline.
Vail had been held captive and controlled by a dark witch for over four thousand years and the atrocities he has committed have left a black mark so dark upon his soul that he prayed for death. Imprisoned by the new king of the Fifth Realm, Vail fights against the torture and pain only to be healed by a woman he feels the need to both soothe and destroy. With each encounter Rosalind and Vail’s connection to one another grows stronger but it is Vail’s emotional turmoil about the past that both frightens and attracts Rosalind like a moth to a flame.
TEMPTED BY A ROGUE PRINCE follows the imprisonment, torture and eventual escape of three people whose lives have crossed paths once before. Rosalind is Vail’s fated mate but she is also a reminder of the woman who destroyed Vail’s humanity and his ability to distinguish between right and wrong. It is a story that is graphically violent and emotionally heartbreaking. Vail has been betrayed time and again, and the memories of the people whose lives he has destroyed will be carried with him for all times.
A good portion of the storyline is told through the internal dialogue of each of our leading characters. Vail is torn between wanting to kill Rosalind and protecting her from harm while Rosalind hopes to heal the mind of a man whose belief in himself has been damaged beyond repair. The nature of these thoughts was slightly repetitive reminding the reader about the hell that our characters had endured.
Felicity Heaton’s storylines are imaginative, passionate, heartbreaking and intense. TEMPTED BY A ROGUE PRINCE is a little darker with its graphic imagery of one man’s suffering and slide into hell. Vail and Rosalind’s escape will force them to depend on one another for survival but also force them to take a deeper look within their heart and soul.

I can honestly say that I absolutely LOVE Felicity's work. She can do no wrong in my eyes and her series just keep getting better and better, book after book.
Vail is a broken soul with no life left in him following the remnants of the atrocities that the evil bitch, sorry, I mean evil witch Kordula did on him. With Heaton's writing you can feel what he is going through, his rage, fear, his violence, but most of all his want and his need.
You wont be able to not open your heart to him, you will want to embrace him and protect him.
Rosalind was a shy, timid and carefree Witch when we first met her in Claimed By A Demon King, but now.....my how she has grown since the battlefield and she has blossomed into a women scorn, and not to be reckoned with....Jeeze...remind me never to p*** of a Witch...
The conquest and turmoil that both Vail & Rosalind go through are touching, there were moments that were touch and go, where, the story could of easily ended before it actually began.
There was a strong connection between these two and it scared them. Both have demons to hide, both are wanting freedom...but can they reach there ever-escaping dream...?
"We are light and darkness, you and I… and perhaps one cannot survive without the other… perhaps fate brought us together because of that.”
Where Vail seemed trapped inside his OWN head from his entrapment from Kordula, Rosalind is living in forever fear from her killings within the battlefield...and of course her impending fortune reading telling of her death as and when she met an Elf Prince...things are looking bleak for both these characters....
Do you want to know the end outcome?
Can Vail be rid of his "madness"?
Can Rosalind show Vail not all Witches are heartless and vile?
Then make sure to start from the beginning with, Kissed By A Dark Prince, as you don't want to miss out on any juicy details ....

Tempted by a Rogue Prince is Felicity Heaton’s third installment in her Eternal Mates series. I have reviewed all of this series so far and you can click on the series above to see the reviews of the other reviews in the Eternal Mates books.
Tempted by a Rogue Prince is certainly the darkest out of the three released titles so far. If you have not read the first two, I believe it could become overwhelming to have an understanding of why and how Vail is who he is. Without that understanding many of the scenes in this book could be harder to process and I fear that Heaton may catch some negative feedback from those that are more sensitive to abuse. That being said, I am really not one of those people and I REALLY don’t think that because Vail is a male that he doesn’t have a right to be traumatized by his past and that we should expect him to be behave in a way that would be all butterflies and rainbows. Our world is not perfect people, bad things do happen and I think this book is a beautiful example of how the dark can swallow you up, but sometimes those around you can pull you out and help you up. Love truly is a beautiful thing.
The chemistry between Vail and Roselyn was a unique balance of patience and willingness to see more beyond what was visible on the exterior. Reading about their paths crossing and the personal journeys they each had to take made for a deep and thought provoking read. This title was a great addition to the series and added some great insight into a beloved and misunderstood character.
I rate Tempted by a Rogue Prince 4 out of 5 Bullets!
**I received this title directly from the author in exchange for providing an honest review. All opinions are my own and are not influenced in any way. I did not receive money in exchange for this review.
Tempted by a Rogue Prince is certainly the darkest out of the three released titles so far. This was a haunting paranormal tale involving the mad elf prince, Vail, and his fated mate, Rosalind. Vail was heartrendingly broken by a sorceress who enslaved him for over 4,000 years, forcing him to kill innocents, fight his brother, and commit unspeakable acts. His character reminded me a lot of Zsadist in J.R. Ward's BDB series. The sexual abuse was particularly difficult to think of, as was the lingering effects it was having on Vail's psyche. You will definitely want to keep some tissues around while you are reading.
Vail has an extreme case of PTSD (or the paranormal equivalent) due to his time of enslavement. Rosalind, a light witch, did an excellent job of gentling Vail out of his extreme aversion to her as a witch. I liked Rosalind very much. She was willing to fight for Vail, and have patience with him even when she thought her days were numbered. She is the first female character of the series that did not get on my nerves.
I put off reading about this book because I didn't think I would like his character... but this is actually my favorite Eternal Mates story so far. The characters had a lot of depth, and generated a strong emotional connection with me. I am happy I kept reading.

WOW!
An addicting Paranormal Romance.
This is book 3 in the Eternal Mates Series.
What is it with these books that Felicity Heaton writes? She draws you in and grabs your Heart..... And Soul and doesn't let go!
This was another unputdownable book and I am truly loving this series, there's a feast of Species and who knew Elves could be so delectably Yummy!
I try to never give away too much of the story because I know other Reviewers will give a little extra but what I will say about his book is the main characters are Vail an Elf Prince (A broken "Mad" Elf Prince) and Rosiland a Witch (A good Witch with some issues) they both have a long journey ahead of them with lots of complications along the way there's plenty of Action, Lingering looks, Smouldering Smexyness a really lovely Romance that leaves you panting for more!
The Writer gives so much detail towards the characters and their feelings and Emotions, they are so engaging and the Fight/ Battle scenes are totally gripping and have you on the end of your seat! I so love that this Author brings out my Emotions too it's very rare that a book makes me cry but I have to admit it I did Sob a little towards the end.
Congratulations Felicity Heaton, another engaging book. Looking forward to the next unputdownable book in this exciting series and as usual it's seems with this Author I just had to give it 5 Stars!
I did receive an ARC of this book for a honest Review and even though I had the ARC I still had to buy this book because I loved it so much.

I would like to thank author Felicity Heaton for sending me a copy of this in exchange for a fair and honest review.
The book is the 3rd in the Eternal Mates Paranormal Series, although it is the 3rd book this could be read as a standalone story as with book 1 and 2, although there are characters from the previous books, Felicity takes care to give you enough back ground information. I would however strongly recommend that you read the 1st 2 books.
We meet Vail as he travels through the Fifth Realm, driven to the brink of madness by a witch, hence Vail hates witches, Vail is captured by demons who he should have been able to overcome but due to hisfragile state he is thrown in to the cells.
Rosalind is a witch, she was captured in the battle between the Third Realm and the Fifth Realm, tortured and used to heal warriors, when she is thrown into a cell with Vail and ordered to heal him, Rosalind also has a secret….
There is no denying the attraction between Rosalind and Vail, but Vail struggles with his lucidity and they both struggle with trust issues, they also find that they can’t bear to be apart from each other. The darkness is always threatening to engulf Vail, it is a testament to his strength that he has managed to hang on to his sanity, just about, but at every turn he is a man on the edge. Rosalind it the light that he needs to pull him through, I couldn’t help but like her as she is feisty, then there is her caring/healing side that doesn’t want to let go of Vail, she also struggles with nightmares from her past but not in the same way as Vail.
Will they manage to escape the King of the Fifth Realm? The journey they take will be treacherous for both of them and will they escape alive? Are they safe from the King? Are they safe from each other? These are the questions I found myself asking as I read and couldn’t wait to find out the answer.
The book is quite fast paced and found myself really liking Vail and wanting him to find his way to Rosalind. I wanted both of them to overcome their fears and find the truth. After reading book 2 this was totally different from what I was expecting to read next and a really great. The book is both darkness and light, with lots of twists.
Can’t wait now for the next book in the series to see where Felicity Heaton takes the story and the characters.

Felicity Heaton has done it once again. The heroes in this series are quickly becoming my favorites. I loved Vail from the first book. After learning all that he went through I waited with baited breath for his story. And the story that Vail got was a great one. Vail is a wonderful man underneath it all. He has gone through so much pain and betrayal it breaks your heart. Watching him try so hard endears him to the readers. Rosalind is a great match for him. The glimpses that we see of her earlier in this series do not do her justice. She is much stronger and loyal than she seems on the surface. I admire her strength and all that she does for Vail. The two make a wonderful couple. The connection that they make was undeniable and the love that forms between the two was a beautiful read. Everything that they both go through separate and together makes them who they are and only solidifies the emotions that they feel. This story is sure to pull on your heart strings and have you believing in love.
I was gifted a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Eternal Mates 3.. awesome follow up book.. Vail finally gets his story. After being abused, imprisoned and forced to do things he didnt want to he is finally on his way to freedom, or is he?
Captured by the King of the third realm and sent to his dungeons he meets Rosalind a witch who was helping Prince Loren in a great battle in one of the Hell realms...Rosalind tries to help him heal. But he is mentally unstable after his years of abuse by the evil Witch.. And Rosalind is terrified of the Elves after a prediction she would meet her death after meeting one of them.
They escape together and must travel to the edge of the Third realm to try to escape. Vail must fight to over come his memories of his years under the control of the witch. And Rosalind must over come her fears so they can work together..
Loved this book. Vail deserves a happy ending...And he finally gets it.
Ms Heaton has started a great new series.. Hope there are many more to come.

Vail is the epitome of damaged goods, he hates his past, hates the consequences of his decisions, and most of the times hates himself. He is dark, violent and deep down underneath it all he is devoted to his family. Being devoted to them only exposes his weakness.
Rosalind is a witch, the very species that has brought Vail to his knees. Trapped in a cell, doing the bidding of an enemy of the Fifth Realm, she is forced to watch Vail be tortured, near death only for her to be forced to mend him. What a vicious cycle.
Felicity does a great job entwining the characters in this book. The story builds off the previous books in the series. I will admit that this book was a little slower for me than previous segments of the series. The romance is slow building and at times I wanted to take turns with which one I wanted to punch in the face more. I am excited to see what is next for this series. I give this four fangs because it did not bring as much heat as segments past.

While this was my least favorite book in this series so far, it was still a really good book. For me, the beginning was just a bit too slow, but it really picked up in the second half of the book. There is an abundance of action, sexy, and paranormal-ness- which is what I love so much about all of Heaton's books. It was really interesting to see the love story unfold- starting with two people who seem like they wouldn't make the best couple, but wind up having a rather moving story. I love how we get to see glimpses of some of the other people from the previous books in this one.
I am definitely excited to read more books in this world.
Heaton writes a magnificent paranormal romance tale and like all other books I have read by her, I would definitely recommend this series to any paranormal romance lover searching for something new to try!

Tormented and maddened by a witch, an elf prince seeks to end his existence but finds his only shot at salvation in this mesmerizing paranormal romance. This story references some pretty traumatic events in Vail’s life and the fact that he is tormented by that will not surprise anyone but what does is that this prince still has good inside and the strength that it takes to overcome the madness and reach out for his happily ever after had me wanting to hold him close and never let go. I loved the first two books in this series, but I think this one has become my favorite. Of course, that may change later as Felicity always manages to write stories that bring me great joy and entertainment even the very emotional ones.
