Shopaholic to the Rescue: A Novel

Another funny and exciting adventure for Becky Bloomwood. In fact, it was one of my favorites from the shopaholic series. It goes deep into friendships and relationships and helps you remember the important things in life. It was riveting and fun to read!

After Shopaholic to the Stars I was really not looking forward to this one at all-Stars was all-around awful, making Becky horribly self-centered and shallow. This book re-invented her-not as a horribly irresponsible shopaholic but someone growing and maturing. Her ideas and schemes are always over the top and this one definitely is no different than previous books, however I love the way it all fit together and that she is still the same-yet different-at the same time. If you were burned by Stars, try this book out to see if it brings you back with a mixture of old and new Becky.

I randomly started rereading the entire Shopaholic series for the 2nd time through last week. I was delighted to discover that this book was out as well and finished reading it today. It was all I hoped with many actual laugh out loud moments. I even shed a tear. Tomorrow I am going for my monthly hospital visit to the infusion clinic and look forward to sharing this book with my friends there. I've been very sick and it has been wonderful to get lost in my favorite shopaholics world once again. What a treat! I'm not a fan of reviews that give the story away so I'll let you discover how fantastic it is for yourself. You will not regret it.

While this book concludes the troubles that happened at the end of Shopaholic to the Stars, this book was still lacking. It had some heartwarming moments but as a fan of the series the last couple books just missed the mark. Also, if you were wondering, Graham does not get his autograph book back. Will there be another story to tell? Another chapter to Becky, Luke and Minnie? I sure hope so.
