This book is amazing. Clever angles and ways of discussing the game resonate thanks to Shea’s natural and conversational writing style. The artwork brings his crazy thoughts and ideas to life and give the book a distinct and memorable character. Five stars.

I swear I started reading this before President Obama added it to his best books of 2017 list. Regardless, Shea Serrano is a fantastic writer, and has somehow made me thoroughly enjoy reading an entire book about basketball, a sport I know almost nothing about.

I recommend everyone who likes funny stuff and basketball read this. If you are familiar with Shea’s work then you already know this is just another hilarious and insightful bit about basketball, movies, being Mexican, etc.

New, better, fresh Bill Simmons is in town! Wow, what a book, I enjoyed almost every page of it. This dude is a basketball - pop culture genius, I'm even wondering if I should buy and read his book about rap, even though I don't like it so much :).
Shea - great job, congrats from Poland

First off, Shea is a really good dude. Second, he is an incredibly funny writer. Third, this book is like late-night discussions that my buddies and I have had about basketball, but well written and can be remembered. :)

Shea is " de lo mio personal" (Something Dominicans say as a term of endearment). This book is fantastic. It's the perfect mix of pop culture and basketball. I genuinely enjoyed every page. Highly recommend this book if you're at all a human being.

I couldn’t recommend this more. Fun, well-researched, and I particularly liked the stand-alone chapters. I legitimately “saved” chapters for when I was in a good mood and new I’d enjoy them most!
Thanks, Shea.

The book was almost the greatest basketball book ever written until I saw Chris Paul was ahead of Stephen Curry in the “Top 10 Point Guards” list. 4.999/5 for that. Jk can’t remember the last time I had this much fun reading, buy it!

Entertaining as hell, from begging to end. You don’t have to read it in a certain order to grasp your attention and keep you hooked throughout it. The art by Arturo is also great to look at and collect.

This book is definitely one to have. Reading it makes you feel how you feel when your favorite player on your favorite thing does something amazing late in a game and you get to just keep watching the highlight over and over and just smile.

I literally laughed out loud when I flipped the page and saw the next chapter was just the plot synopsis of a fictional James Harden’s action movie sequel. I would recommend this book for anyone who can read.

A literary journey that uses statistics and comedy to invite everyone. It’s hard to find a book as welcoming as this one. It’s not onlyfor basketball lovers, it’s for anyone who wants to understand and appreciate the game.

I thought this was one of the most enjoyable books I’ve had the pleasure of reading. Many spots where I just laughed out loud and read the whole section over again. Loved the art and design of the whole book.

It’s an incredibly personal account of a love story with basketball. Shea is a fantastic author who makes you feel emotions while you are reading. Interesting arguments, fun discussions, (and other things)

This book is like having your most articulate friend explain a bunch of off-the-wall basketball topics to you in great detail at 2:00 AM after a night out over a pizza that’s way too big for either of you to finish.

I laughed. I cried. I laughed again. And THAT was just the experience of buying the book.

Once I opened it? Forget about it.
