I enjoyed the story and liked the characters, but I think they would have benefited with a little more development. Some of the secondary story lines left me a little unfulfilled with a few questions unanswered. The story would have been enhanced with an epilogue tying things up and leaving the reader sated.

Daughter of a duke is entangled in treason with her stepfather who may have murdered her mother must leave her life of the privileged in hiding as a servant in the home of the earl commissioned to bring her in. Jealousy, lust, reuniting of lost friends, threat of life all join together to make this an interesting story.

I just finished reading this book and I absolutely loved it. I was hooked from the first page to the very last. It was a page turner. This book is a debut book by a new author. I can't wait for her next book (hint, hint).

I strongly recommend this if you want to read a good, well-balanced book.

Loved this story!! Amazing new author!! It is number 1 in the series and each one I had a hard time putting down. Yes I've read all three and I can't wait for the next series. I have to say this is one of the best series I have read. Each one has it's own unique story and characters that you fall in love with. You won't be able to read just one either.

After her mother is deceived, and probably murdered, this young lady tries to adopt a new identity as her step father tries to find her to find precious jewels that he had taken, which are priceless. Unlikely relatives are also trying to gain wealth thru marriage

The characters were likable. The writing was good aside from a few typographical errors.
The story lacked a bit of depth and backstory, so it could have benefited from a bit more length.
All in all, a good read, and it definitely makes me want to read the following stories.

Just the right amount of sweetness, and drama to keep the readers turning the pages!
I love the story, and villains aplenty. The Heroine and Hero are likeable, intelligent and believable. I look forward to reading more from this Author, and the other series.

I chose to give this two stars, because I finished the whole thing. If it was unbelievably terrible, I would have stopped reading, but it was still pretty bad. The dialogue is the biggest problem. It doesn't fit with the time period and distracts from the story. The whole plot is based on how English society acted at that time, and yet nobody acts appropriately. Men and women are hugging and joking with each other in public, being left alone constantly, calling each other by their first names (which the author does point out as inappropriate, but nobody else seems to notice. Really?!) Bad.

This was a very romantic, sexy hot, and exciting historical novel. This was a complete well-written book that will hold your interest from beginning to end. I read this in one sitting and highly recommend it.

This was an enjoyable storyline but very predictable. The author did a good job developing the storyline and romance between the two main characters although I wish the story would have had a better ending.

I adored every minute of it. I loved the vulnerability of the hero and the development of his emotions. Guaranteed to make you sigh. The plot does get a bit busy at times but overall everything you could want in a Regency romance!

A great story and some interesting twists. This is not my usual genera of book, but I throughly enjoyed the read. Good base characters and side plots I loved. I think I will read the next in the series. :)

I enjoyed the plot and characters of this book very much. If it weren't for the many grammatical and punctuation errors, I'd give it five stars. I look forward to reading more and hope that the rest of the series is better edited.

This was a really great story and I totally enjoyed reading it.

I downloaded the Kindle version which has quite a few misspelling errors that should be corrected. I have listed them as follows just in case the author is reading these feedbacks and would like to correct them for future readers. Location 17 "Coel" should be "Cole". Location 281 "Cranberry" should be "Cranbury". Location 1285 "Chanced" should be "Chance". Location "Coel" should be "Cole". Location 1839 "Even in winter" should be "Even in winter?". Location 1848 "softly" should be "softly.". Location 1896 "rain" should be "rain.". Location 1991 "hells" should be "halls". Location 2283 "Felling" should be "Feeling". Location 2594 "he" should be "be". Location 3734 "crowed" should be "crowded".

The characters are sadly very one dimensional and the author constantly confused the era in her writing style. The funniest of these distractions was when, after being told their plan "shall not falter," the heroine's rival said - no "beamed" to her mother, "You're the best, Mama!" Really, is that how young ladies spoke in England in 1816?

The story is adequate for wasting a few hours - although in order to enjoy it you must be a die hard fan of this style of writing.

Too many loose ends that were never addressed! What happened with the fake aunt and her daughter? The scoundrel that she hired? What was the reaction of the Ton to the marriage? So mNy unanswered questions!

Bring on the romance! This book is a page turning adventure down to the very last page, I find myself waiting for more adventures from the next book. This author is amazing! She knows how to capture a reader.

This is a neatly written romance, with sympathetic characters
and a nicely contrived plot. It all works out very well, and it is
a satisfyingly good read.

There were a few editing problems, for example "you're" for "your".

I just loved this book. The story line was different from the run of the mill historical romances. I really get tired of the same old plots. They meet, they fall in love, the fight, they reconcile. Mine All Mine was a refreshing change. Hero and Heroine after finding each other, stick together and fight off the bad guys together. Loved it.

Its a modern regency not traditional which is my style. Its not perfect but a good representation of a new author. I will look forward to reading more. It starts out with the hero being given a mission to find a missing girl and a necklace. Then you are introduced to the heroine. She is the missing girl who is pretending to be a maid and sort of hide out. They see each other and are sorta struck dumb with attraction. Its cute and you meet Chance who I hope gets his own book. He pursues her and she tries to resist him but you can't resist Dominic he he. He's the classic regency hero, a little dark and brooding and in need of a good woman to love him. My favorite kind! Its not long before he discovers who she really is and takes her away to his country estate to interogate her and protect her from bad guys. Chance joins them and they come up with a plan to catch her stepfather. I don't want to give to much away. All and all its a good read and has a satisfying happy ever after. I would not classify it as erotica but it does contain descriptive sex scenes FYI, think along the lines of Julia Quinn style.
