Plot is creative and moves at a good pace. Kinsey character remains true to previous episodes in lack of family ties and need for personal space. Kinsey remained aloof and seemingly unaware of deeper feelings regarding family ties. I look forward to Kinsey exploring feelings regarding abandonment and resolve her family issues.

This was the last of the alphabet series I read...I initially skipped it because I didn't care for the premise of the story. This was not the Kinsey I've grown to love & admire. She allowed herself to be used & duped from the very beginning & somehow justified it to herself that it was ok. Where were the spicy retorts? Where was her backbone? The Kinsey I knew wouldn't have allowed anyone to treat or talk to her as there characters did (especially Laura). She would have been on a plane & celebrating pre wedding festivities instead of helping ungrateful people going after ill gotten goods. Definitely a disappointed!!!

I always enjoy Sue Grafton's alphabet series books. They're not great literature, but they are great fun. They pull me in and I enjoy the colorful characters. Love Kinsey's quirky sense of humor. There are usually a couple of holes in the stories, or things that wouldn't likely happen the way the happen in the book, so I never feel I can quite give them 5 stars. But I do recommend them if you just want to escape with an enjoyable mystery where there isn't a lot of gore. I do give it a very strong 4+ rating.

I have enjoyed all of the Kinsey Milhone series so far and will continue reading until I get through them all. Sue Grafton is a very good writer, keeps you engaged the entire time. The end is always somewhat of a mystery and never predictable. Keep writing Sue!!!

Sue Grafton always delivers a good read. I have read the books before but am going back over them in order this time. Kinsey has become a friend. Characters are believable and easy to connect with. I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes to curl up with a good who-done-it.

The movement of all the different plots and subplots we're woven together exquisitely well. The continuing revealing of Kinsey ' s own familial relationships is lightly but intricately stitched in as well.

I've read everyone of Sue Grafton's Alphabet series. I think Kinsey Millhouse it a hoot and somewhat of a rebel. I'm also hoping by the end of the series she will get over her commitment phobia and learn to trust and love. We will see. I like the "L" for lawless as much as the rest of them. The book is a lot of fun and I really enjoyed reading it.
