Honor Among Thieves

Why would Saddam Hussein be willing to part with a cool hundred million dollars? Archer, in this post-gulf war thriller argues that after the war saddam is so thirsty for revenge that he, together with his loyal countrymen can pay $100000000 to have the American declaration of indepedence document at their laps that they may burn it in the front of world media on fourth of july. Anyway the plot is somehow absurd,the characters as usual not fully developed but the salvaging factor is archer's storytelling abilities.its fair

Yet again, Archer keeps the reader balancing on the edge as he dangles an action packed thriller before us. Our hero, Scott Bradley, juggles a beautiful spy and sinister Iraqis as he races against time. His escapades take him from New York to Paris to Baghdad (and everywhere between) in his effort to foil Saddam Hussein's evil plan. At times, this predictable Bond-style encourages wisps of tedium in a typical Archeresque way. However, it's rescued by Archer's customary twist in the tale...A very enjoyable, if light, read.

This is another typical non-stop action book that Archer has written, very much like A Matter of Honor. The only difference is that, in this one, the plot involves more characters and the danger is much bigger and greater. It has moved from a fate of a man to a fate of a nation. It has moved from "excellent" to a word that hasn't existed in the dictionary. Highly recommended for Archer's first-time reader.

Saddam Hussein plans to mastermind a robbery of the Decleration of Independence by hiring the mafia, world's best forgery expert and one of Clinton's close aides with $100 million. Then he plans to embarrass US by burning the national treasure in front of the world media. This book is absolutely awesome, the plots, twists and story-line move like a ferrari. Once you start reading it, you won't be able to put it down. Archer's best book to date.

Honor Among Thieves goes up and down. It seemed to start pretty slow. Giving some background and other information. There were some interesting parts but I don't think it got good until the last few chapters. When the plot thickened. I have read better novels but Honor Amoung Thieves had a pretty good plot.

Jeffrey Archer has done better, but still this oeuvre is a thrilling good read.

Compared to "Not a penny more, not a penny less" this piece lacks the brilliance

of the final plot, compared to his short-stories this one's a more "conventional" book.

Simply a great CD. Virtually all of the tracks are quite good. I've played this CD for about 4 friends thus far and each one thought it was great. If you like a Hootie and the Blowfish meet Dave Mathews kind of sound, you will really enjoy this CD.

A well thought out story. Completely original with gripping situations. The storyline has some basis in fact inter-twined with fiction. It's was a really good read & an ideal way to spend a quiet week-end.

In the beginning it is a little confusing but once you get to the middle of the book then theres no way you will put it down. Its got all the necessary items for a successful novel i.e. suspense, romance. I thoroughly enjoyed it!!
