Twisted in all the right ways! I'm seriously rooting for Deanna maybe she's not as messed up as she thinks or that maybe she can harness her energy into being a vigilante! Either way I can't wait to read more. I can't wait to read more about Jeremy.....I mean hot UPS delivery driver!!!!!!

As inexplicable as this story may sound, it was really enjoyable. The character really draws you into her psychotic mind and makes you feel her mental anguish. I don't know about you, but I was really hoping for her to experience some kind of happiness. Also, you'll never feel the same about your UPS or FEDEX man again. I won't hesitate to pick up another of A.R. Torre's books. I'm glad a took a chance.

Holy smokes that was a good book. It was definitely different from the other books I have been reading. Loved the fact that the chapters didn't drag on. If you are a person that gets confused easily this book may not be for you. You must be able to keep up with the chapters cause of the different characters. But I was wondering if there is going to be a follow up book or something about Deanna and Jeremy? Like to know if he was here "happily ever after"?!?

This is not an erotica story. Are there erotic elements? Yes. Suspense? Definitely. I read each word like this mystery needed solving. This book is sexy in a forbidden way. I highly recommend this book and am so excited to see it come to life when the movie is released!

I had read the original version of this story and it was my favorite read of all time and Alessandra Torre never disappoints in story telling. I was just as immersed in this story as I was during the original. I can't wait to see how Deanna is dealing with Jeremy in the next book. I am so super excited I just don't know how much longer I can wait! Best book I ever read!!

This wasn't exactly what I was expecting (the story took a turn with Ralph/Michael), but it was written well, although a little sparse in some spots. The way things went Deanne and Jeremy finally met face to face was odd to say the least; therefore the end was a bit unbelievable to me. I definitely felt for her, all that she went through when she was younger. I don't know, it was okay, just not what I was expecting.

The story of DeAnna that author Alessandra Torre so expertly weaved together is very unique and difficult to review without giving away spoilers and the last thing I want to do is spoil this amazing book for anyone. Let's just say that what you expect you are going to get from this book is not even close to where it ends up taking you. I truly had no idea what I was in for, hence the sweaty palms and racing heart that I found myself with.
A great combination of erotic thriller with a bit or mystery and romance thrown in, this book completely took me by surprise in a good way.
As far as main characters go, I think DeAnna is one of my new favorites. I love it when my main character comes with a bit of crazy. I find it makes for a much more interesting story especially when its written well. DeAnna is just that, she is like no other character I have come across before, and I have read well over a hundred books in the last year alone. Complex and full of personality flaws and dark thoughts, she drew me in and took hold, my mind completely focused on her and her story.
Just as DeAnna lives her life as two different people, the book was also like multiple stories in one. With it's highly erotic beginning to the intense thrilling and edge of your seat middle and then finally the sweet and satisfying ending, Alessandra Torre did a great job at seamlessly combining all of these different character personalities and story lines into a book that not only works but flows together really well. My only wish that would have earned this book a 5 star rating from me would be for more Jeremy. I would have loved to get inside his head and have more from his POV and while I loved the ending of the book I wish it would gone on just a bit longer and given more insight into Jeremy and DeAnna's budding relationship.
So for those who like their books a bit on the darker side like me this is definitely one you will want to read. It also has what I think is one of the best last sentences in a books ending but since I don't want to give any spoilers you really do need to give this one a try.

That was a pretty messed up read but so interesting. Jessica aka Deanna clearly has demons that she is fighting with. And to help curb the appetite of those demons she locks herself away into apartment 6E. She makes money by web camming (a sickly fascinating career by the way) and her only interaction with others is either over the web, occasionally on the phone and through her door. She has had this existence for three years and this book is a peek into why she is living this way and what happens when her orderly yet dysfunctional word is turned upside down by a missing girl.
Much of the book is spent setting up the life of Jessica, how she lives without going outside, who her clients are, and her daily routine. For about the first half of the book, I was intrigued but wondering where in the world the book was going...until you get there. What happens when Jessica's little world is set askew by an AMBER alert. You become accustom the Jessica's world, how she lives, why she does what she does. You become unreasonably comfortable with the way things are and then you along with Jessica are abruptly forced to face many of the things that you have been hiding from.
This book is probably not for everyone, as it was pretty crazy. It's only erotic in sense of description and Jessica's choice of career. The book itself is more of a psycho-erotic thriller. I am cannot wait to find out where the sequel is going to go, because while you are not left hanging, Jessica's story is clearly not over.

I've read Blindfolded Innocence sometime last year and enjoyed it so decided to give this one a try. This book was so not what I expected. To say the least, I've learned a lot. I didn't realize that camming could earn you that much money, if the figures are true that is. Also as soon as she mentioned this phobia and the mania I definitely had to look it up immediately and come to find out anthropophobia really does exist, while I can't find anything yet about cruorimania it sounds like something like that would exist as well perhaps as another term.
So how do I feel about this book? While I am glad that Deanna was able to overcome her issues and even make something so horrible in life become something very positive...I honestly still feel cheated. I wish there was a detailed ending specifically about her and Jeremy... I mean everything else was detailed and explicit. That last paragraph just left me speechless. Turning the page and not finding anything else there... my reaction was "WTF!" I was looking for a surprise chapter at the end, or an epilogue....anything! Why did you leave me hanging like that? WHY!
So, I've read other reviews and everyone gives so much praise to this book. So, I've come to the conclusion that this book just wasn't for me. Would I recommend this book? Yes, I still would if you're looking for something very different. I just hope you are not as disappointed as I was at the end.

I struggled with this one in the begining. I wasnt sure what to expect. It was good. I just had a little trouble really connecting with the heroin in the begining. But then as the story moved along, it worked. There were several parts where I just said "Huh? Who would react that way?" But then like I said, as the story flowed, it just worked. Not my favorite book. But it was good.

Before I started reading Romance, I was a mystery, psychological thriller, mind trickery reader... yes, this gal who now reads all the hot, steamy, HEA's she can get her little hands on use to devour them.
So when The Girl in 6E came to me... I was very intrigued... classified as romance??? Has main character with urges to kill so strong her existence is in her apartment and she never leaves??? How the hell is this going to work, I wondered.
Well... deep down I knew it would all come together masterfully because this was not some little attempt at mind play..oh, no.... this was done by Alessandra Torre... and when you put together these elements with her creativity... I knew I was in for a ride.
Our main character, Deanna at 21, is presented to us as she is now... she has been living in her apartment for the last 3 years never leaving. Yes, that is correct... she never leaves the place or physically sees anyone. Everything is either delivered or mailed to her; she only has limited real interaction with 2 shrinks she talks with via phone, a Vicodin addict who locks her in ever night in order to get his monthly prescription and the UPS Deliver man whom she never sees and only says leave the package, thank you.
The decision to live this way seemed to be the only way to keep others safe....for Deanna has desires... needs... over whelming wants... to kill, mutilate, slash any human who comes in contact with her.... and she is only doing what she sees is right... for left to her own devises... blood would flow...
Now the way Deanna figured out how to support this lifestyle was genius... she looked into stuffing envelopes or call centers... but the one most lucrative was virtual sex... you know, the kind where there are cams in the girl's rooms and they do stuff for the people they are talking with....they never actually touch or meet... but at $6.99 a minute... Deanna could cover all of her needs in her self imprisoned environment.
Deanna, though, was smart, crafty, college educated and wanted to be left alone. She created Jessica Riley; got all of the necessary official documents, set up a mini studio in her apartment working the cam system and her popularity took off. She made herself the perfect wet dream of all men across the globe... played the 19 year old coed... spoke directly to them, gave them whatever fetish they wanted without judgement.... she was perfect.
She had her life down to a routine... and she fought her demons every day ... what makes the change... what makes this all come to a turning point is her picking up a new subscriber to her website... what he wants... how she feels about it... and where it goes... Deanna senses all her dreams may come true finally with purpose...
This book takes you on this ride ... it grabs you by your virtual balls, and squeezes them when necessary to get your attention... you think you have a handle on what is happening and then Ms. Torre does her thing...
She grabs you... she puts you on the edge of your seat and dares you to walk away and put the book down ... I didn't take that dare... I read from cover to cover because it was that good...
I wanted to know what was going to happen... I was able to put pieces together and go with Deanna/Jessica down this rabbit hole through all of the characters POV'S... It was spellbinding... I could feel how each person felt and tried to anticipate what the next move was going to be. There were times I got it... but then there were times when the magnitude of what Deanna had experienced just shock me to my core.
Ms. Torres took me into a world which really exists... she was thorough and made all of the facts interesting yet also laced with humor and understanding.
This was a revision of the first publication and I am very excited to say the ending was not a cliffhanger yet there is another book coming involving these characters. I for one cannot wait... bring it on Ms. Torre... Bring it on.

I like creepy psychological thrillers so I liked this. It took me a long time to read. While I was interested, I just didn't feel compelled to keep turning the page. Still a good book, worth reading if you like this type of novel.

I really, really, really liked this book. So different. Villain and hero, all wrapped into one. When the book ended, I wanted to know more. And I just noticed that this is book 1. How did I not notice that?!?! Well, I'll definitely be buying the next one!

Everything about this book - it's pace, the style, the plot, the super complicated female protagonist, the confusingly adorable male lead, the mystery and suspense - everything, grips and tugs until you cannot put it down. An absolute must read!

Intriguing premise...one that definitely caught my eye. One can only imagine a life in the secret world of camming. Mix in a touch of gore and you have the basis for an interesting book. And it seems as though the author has left the door open for another saga from 6E.

I enjoyed this book. I was unsure in the beginning if I could even like the heroine, but as the story progressed, I could not put this one down. Well done twists and I like the way the author wove this between past and present, and brought these characters together.

This book is proof that Alessandra Torre puts her heart into a book. She really did her homework and research on this one!!! Loved the book. I really was not sure what to expect, but with the original title On Me, In Me, Dead Beneath ME... It captured my interest. I put this on my reading list long ago. Love her writing style and story telling. I could not put it down.
