A Love Story Told Through 150 Recipes (Fool's Gold)

This is far from my favorite Fools Gold story, but this is officially one of my favorite cookbooks now. If you're a gourmet chef or on a strict diet, then this may not be for you. It has great stick to your ribs recipes that are simple, fairly easy, and don't generally require a ton of ingredients. I was in my mid-twenties before I got into cooking so I use recipes for dinner a couple nights a week to keep things interesting. There are quite a few recipes in here that I'm planning to try for dinner and an office potluck.

Love love this cookbook!! Plus there is a story mixed into this cookbook! Best of both worlds! I made about 6 recipes. Love the lasagna, smoothies, Liz's Girl Spaghetti, and the Triple-Chocolate Caramel Cake. There was 2 smoothies I made. Everything was so good. My guests loved everything. I can not wait to make more!! I highly recommend this cookbook for the recipes and the story!

YUM! For both the recipes in this cookbook and for the beautiful love story that is so concisely woven between the delicious food. Since the beginning of Fool's Gold, there have been countless festivals and the food has been one of the focus items. There are different food items for each festival/season. Also, each time there is a tragedy, the people of Fool's Gold turn up with a great casserole and Jo at the Fox & the Hound is always mixing up new drinks...Well, they are all here and waiting for you to try.

A fantastic colorful cookbook delivered by Susan Mallery. The recipes are a big hit in my kitchen, thumbs up from my family. The added bonus of a short Fool's Gold romance is included within the pages of the well laid out chapters of recipes for every season. Great addition to any cookbook collection (contains many pictures of the delicious recipes prepared) or for a fan of Susan Mallery, Fool's Gold or romance in general.

This cookbook is yet another reason for Susan's Fool's Gold fans to love the town. We've been reading about several of these recipes throughout the series, so being able to actually try these recipes out for ourselves has been pretty magical. Many Fool's Gold fans wish that the town were a real place and the cookbook makes it all seem a little more real. :) I adored the love story written throughout the recipes. Ana Raquel and Greg's story is short and sweet, and I love the fact that they are both chefs. :D The recipes in the cookbook are delicious and easy to make. I've been recommending the cookbook to everyone, and they've all loved it!

Susan Mallery has done it again with another great addition to the Fool's Gold saga. The story for me answered a few questions I had from the last couple of installments. Nothing huge just little things I had wondered about. I haven't tried the recipes yet but am sure they will be as tasty to my palate as the stories are to my spirit.

I enjoyed the romance between Greg and Ana Raquel. Loved all the recipes, too. I'm planning to make several of them, including the S'mores (my oven isn't working so that one's perfect for me) and the berry smoothie.

This is my first "Fool's Gold" and Susan Mallery book, and it won't be my last!

Love cookbooks - love Susan Mallery!! The Fool's Gold Cookbook is the kind I like, put together by seasons with great pictures and wonderful recipes. Top it off with a love story intertwined and you have a perfect combination. A must for Susan's fans and cookbook fans alike!

once susan has out done her self in this cookbook. wonderful short story. I love the way the cookbook progressed in the short story. I can not wait to try some of these receipes out. and I love the fact that you can substitute items because Im a diabetic

Story was predictable, very light reading which is exactly what I needed after a stressful day. A good selection of recipes but it was a little irritating to skip through them to continue the chapters when reading on my Kindle.

This is a great cookbook filled with yummy seasonal recipes perfect for any home cook. As a bonus, a Fool's Gold romance is told in chapters throughout the book about two foodies and how they came together to create the Fools Gold Cookbook.

Susan Mallery's Fool's Gold cook book has fabulous receipes! I also loved the story among the food chapters. I can't remember the last time I had ao much fun trying out new ideas to cook. Another reason to love Fool's Gold!

Good concept, but not a very successful execution. The interwoven romance was trite, to say the least. The recipes - well, I didn't find more than one or two that sounded like something worth trying. The alternating of story chapters with recipe chapters was annoying, though it probably wouldn't have been so bad if I'd been reading the paper version, where I could easily skip the intervening/distracting chapters. Also, on the electronic version, there were several pages that skewed and became unreadable. I understand the novelty of the arrangement was supposed to be a plus, but think it would have worked better as a two-parter - story in one section; recipes in another.

These recipes are designed for cooks who don't like to spend hours slaving over a dish or who don't like buying weird ingredients you'll never use again. If you want to cook at home more often or if you want to take advantage of seasonal food from a local farmer's market, this cookbook will help you. If you like a little romance mixed in with the recipes, then you really need to buy this book.

Another hit from Susan Mallery. The story intermixed with the food was great. The pictures of the food just make your mouth water as you are looking at them. The recipes are easy and fun to make. Great Book!!!!

Mallory's "Cookbook" is a beautiful presentation of recipes with a sweet love story thrown in. The story is a quick & refreshing read while the recipes make your mouth water & seem to be easy to make. Enjoy!

Bright pictures, easy to follow directions, practical ingredients plus a love story.....The best of all worlds!
