Review:This is probably a better book for those younger cooks out there interested in making bento or highly popularized Japanese cooking. It's simple and the manga style cartoon instructions are easy to follow. I would have preferred more realistic pictures or photos of the food to better guage proportions but it was a cute read nevertheless. Read more
Review:Gave this book to my mother as a Hanukkah present. She was hysterical and showed it to all her friends. Not only is this book funny for any avid 50 Shades reader, but the recipes are scrumptious. My dad even ended up cooking with it! Makes for interesting conversation. Read more

Review:I love this cookbook! I bought it for my wife but was hogging it so much I bought a second one for myself! So if the dish does not quite taste the way I like, I have no idea how to fix it. This cookbook goes into detail about how the four elements, salt, fat, acid and heat, are used to create great dishes! I even learned how to make my own balsamic vinaigrett... Read more

Review:I bought this book thanks to Prof Tim Noakes expressing admiration for the authors and my own passion for running. I was not in any way disappointed! Fascinating stuff that I can't wait to put into practice.. Read more
Review:This book contains multiple methods of preserving each food. I haven't tried (and probably won't try) them all but I do like the dehydrating information on all of the different foods. I mainly got it for dehydrating dairy and eggs so I'll try those in the near future. Read more
Review:Process' are outlined but not extremely specific.
Some of the language and terms are archaic. If you are willing to read between the lines and not afraid to do a little experimentation it should work nicely for you. Read more
Review:Real good book. I bought it to give away for my family's Christmas gift exchange, along with a survival type knife. People were fighting over it. My cousin, who is a prep'er ended up with it. And to be honest, I read a bunch of it before wrapping it up with Christmas paper. Read more
Review:As an RN I find this information easy for the lay person to understand and apply. My brother has used a lot of this information and his diabetes is very controlled (off medication) and he has no other diabetic related problems. This is a must read for all diabetes and their families. The large print book is so helpful! Read more
