This was one of my favorite books as a kid. We recently bought this for our friends who have a 2 1/2 year old and are expecting a new baby. The little girl loves it and so do Mom and Dad. The book is long enough to keep the interest of the child, yet short enough that Mom and Dad can read it daily if the little girl wants. We also have a copy for our little girl. Great book for all kiddos.

I love Laura Numeroff's "If you give..." series. I plan on purchasing her entire set for my friend's kids throughout their years. This was packaged with multiple orders, but packed to ensure no dents on the corners of the hardcover.

Written by the same author who wrote "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie". Maybe even cuter.

This book explores the things that might happen if you give a Moose that muffin. Mostly silly and ridiculous which is the kind of book the kids I know love.

Some people seem to believe there is a moral to this story, but I am not sure what that moral might be. "Give an inch and they will take a mile?" Watch out if you give a begger a dollar? Those sound like warnings to me. Maybe it is best to share this adorable and wonderfully illustrated story without making it some kind of lesson.

I loved this book when I was a child so I wanted my son to get that same chance now. I searched and searched for a regular sized version of this book or at least a board book version. I'm not sure if I just didn't find it and it really is on the store or not. We didn't need the CD and I didn't want the book this small. I thought the book would at least be board style but its not. So my 2 year old cannot look it at alone or he might tear the pages out. He likes me reading it to him but I'd love the regular size much better for comfort of reading.

Buried deep inside this short novel about a seemingly greedy mouse lies an ominous tone of escalation, desire, love lost, and - of course - redemption. Our hero begins his journey with a single, simple action, and in the end, learns that this menial task has created worlds of chaos. It is up to him to save both himself AND the antagonist, making decisions that may very well destroy all he loves. Never have I read a novel where the protagonist was myself, which impacted me greatly. But what I really enjoyed most about this was the pictures. Very cute.

This is an absolutely charming, clever and delightful children's "story", and this is the only one of his books that has a CD. It is extremely clever and helps children learn to repeat what they hear, listen carefully, AND start learing to read by listening to the words on the CD. I would recommend it to anyone with young children starting with age 2-3 at least.

We love this one! Such a cute story, the pictures are wonderful, full of color and lots of things to look at. It is sort of like Goodnight Moon in the respect that you spend quite some time looking at the pictures on each page and pointing to all of the different things you see. I would highly recommend this one. The only bad thing about it is everytime we read it I want to bake cookies :)

I recently purchased this 2 pack of books for a friends baby shower as she is starting to build her daughters library now, to have a wide assortment of books for her later. My daughter grew up on theese books and loved them. She started out wanting to hear them read to her on a regular basis and then enjoyed reading them herself. I would reccomend them for every parent or grandparent to keep handy for thier little ones, they are wonderful.

I found this to be only slightly above average as far as kids books go. The story is pretty cute and it comes full circle at the end, which can be a good trigger to ask your child what they think will happen next. However, I was expecting a more exciting and engrossing story based on the very high ratings. My kids don't really ever choose this book to read, which says it all as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't buy it again, but I won't toss it out either.

My 3 year old son and I love this book. We can't decide which we like more - this one or Numeroff's other book "If Give Give Moose a Muffin". Unlike some children's books, both the text and illustrations are equally enjoyable. It's especially fun to see how the animals boss the children around and tie them out.

Always a delightful favorite! We inadvertently bought 'If You Give a Mouse a Cookie' only to realize that we'd already gifted our little granddaughter that one. She was looking forward to the 'Moose a Muffin'!

One of the first books i was ever read as a child and my mom had been looking for it just to have as a keep sake. Suprisingly this book isn't around a lot anymore. Glad i found it though and she loved it.

If you give a Moose a Muffin -- is a wonderfully delightful book that will make your imagination (kid or adult) go wild. I found the book quite funny and the illustrations were great! I bought 3 in the series for a child who is severly handicapped, but he loves these books. We will read them to him over and over and he will laugh.

Well worth the read! :)

My 7-yr.-old daughter started with If You Give A Mouse A Cookie, the most popular one from this series, and now we have all of them. She loves reading them, thinks they're hilarious, I recommend all of these books!

My 2-1/2 year old granddaughter loves this book! There are few enough words on each page that she doesn't get eager to turn the page before you finish reading the current page. The pictures are great and the storyline holds her attention. It didn't take long for her to be able to tell the story herself.

I bought three of these "If You Give...." books at the same time, and they are hysterical. My four year old grandson loves them and my daughter and I laughed as we read them. I'm so glad I found these.

Enjoyable, but not nearly as cute as the other books by this author. the "original": "If you give a mouse a cookie" book was a 5 star, this is noticeably less creative, still worth reading, but I would not purchase it again.

superb!! One of the best books of this type. I must be one of the last people in USA to have read it. My grandchild's favorite book, by far, even preferred to the others of similar nature by this author (by slight margin).

This book is one of my all time favorites! My dad used to read it to me as a kid and I always looked forward to it so much. The illustrations are silly and the story is funny and action packed. It brings out the creativity of a child's mind and helps to come up with ideas of fun things you too can do with your child.

The book came in excellent condition and just how I remember it to be when I was little. I am glad that I can share something I loved so much as a kid with my baby.

I like this series because they are easy to read and remember, so it isn't long before the children think they can read it to themselves. The book was in very good condition. You had to look closely to tell it was used.

I bought this book for my grandson along with several others. He loves this. He has his mom read it all the time. He is 4 has a thing about the "silly mouse". Plus it teaches them a lesson about sharing and being frineds. Good book for the little people.

We read this book to both our sons (now in their thirties), and they (and we) loved it. Now one of our boys has a child, and it's going on to our next generation. It's a great gift that never gets old!

While reading children's books by this author to my kids, even as an adult I have been thoroughly entertained by the quirky adventures and was always excited when anticipating reading the next book in the "If You Give a..." group.

I love this series of books and so do my kids (2 & 4 yo). Unfortunately I didn't read the product description very well because I didn't know it was a mini-book. The book is so small I can barely read the words myself and we have no use for the CD. So I'd really recommend the story but get the full size version of the book.

I just love this book and all the orther books in this series.
Gotta dance w/ kids and the CD enclosed. Lyrics are wonderful and the
music is delightful.
So much fun to read w/ kids as well as just by yourself!

This is a classic- especially loved when read over and over, and over to a toddler! Our kids loved this in addition to the rest of the series...If you give a Moose a Muffin...If you Give a Pig a Pancake...

the book is great! but I thought I bought the Big book version in paperback, but when I receive it it was the small version of it... I teach little kids and sometimes little books are hard to share specially in assembly time. Hints the reason of the size...but besides that the story itself is funny and hilarious!

This is such a classic book I almost feel silly reviewing it. I bought it for a friend's new baby and even though I don't have any kids, I still felt a bit nostalgic going through it quickly before sending it off to her. Classic enough that I think it's a book every child should have!

Love this story! Very exciting tale of a mouse given a cookie which leads to several comical situations. Great at teaching cause and effect and beautiful illustrations! We love the story, and it is a classic!

Why would you have a milk mustache if you are using a straw? There are just a few odd things in this book that make it only 3 stars... liked the idea, though. Maybe some of the other "If you give... books" are better.

The item was shipped promptly. When it arrived, I was a little disappointed... The book I received has a smaller, solid green hardcover, without the cover art displayed on the store (not that this is necessarily the seller's fault). After keeping the book for a few days, I've decided that I like the version of the book I was sent. The book is in decent condition, definitely used by a child (as is evidenced by Crayon scribbles), but without any distracting flaws.

I really like the older children's books but several friends were raving about these types of books. There are several in the series. Maybe I;m not the best one to rate since I am from an older generation.
