Lovely setting, memorable & complex characters and lots of humor. The plot had twists that were clever and well done. There were fabulous one liners from most of the characters and a testament to the skills of the author. You really enjoy the women and find the men out shown in all cases except the caretaker!

This is one of the most delightful, readable books I've ever encountered. The movie is terrific -- but the book is even better. An afternoon in a comfortable chair with "The Enchanted April" is one of the best gifts to myself that I can imagine. It's a good gift to share with a friend, too.

This was an utterly charming book that I enjoyed thoroughly and would recommend to anyone needing a small holiday from their lives.
However I have noticed since purchasing my Kindle that most kindle books have at least one typo error of sorts, and this book had three that I picked up! I wonder if a free book, such as this one has no budget for a proper editor?

The Enchanted April is a delightful book which deserves five stars in my opinion, but I gave it only 3 because this copy is filled with typos and misspellings. Some words are actually left out of sentences. It's so unprofessional, and it seems no one bothered to edit it before publication. I'm giving it 3 stars anyway because I think it's the only copy available and I enjoyed the story in spite of the mistakes.

Bought this book for my wife - she loves the movie. It contained numerous spelling errors, like it was a rough copy that wasn't edited. Still, my wife said it was readable, and she enjoyed it . I don't know if I would buy from this publisher again without checking the book first.

A lovely gentle story and a piece of escapism into which I could not wait to immerse myself each evening. Beautifully read. I loved the character of Mrs Fisher who kept me chuckling every time she appeared.

This review is only related to the poor printing job of this edition. (I’ve read this book before, and it’s excellent.) The printing of this book is horrible and unreadable. The words are crammed onto the pages, there’s almost no margin...the printing is so tight—this book is honestly unreadable. Find another edition of this book.

This beautiful story has been ruined by this edition of the book. The editor who worked on this book must have been in elementary school. The frequent typos, sometimes more than one in a single sentence, are distracting and finally infuriating. I will not be keeping this book in my library despite how much I love the story. This publishing house should be ashamed of such an inferior product.
