The Lost Colony (Lost Starship Series Book 4)

I enjoyed this more than expected given that I have been reading ally of these type of books lately. I truly enjoy the characters. They are characters you can care about. I can hardly wait for the next book.

As you probably know, this book is number four in the series. It's space opera, not great literature, but Heppner manages to weave great action, intelligent plots, increasingly sophisticated characters and a satisfying conclusion into this book, that takes place in the apparent, mid-point of the series.

Heppner leaves lots of room for future plot developments and I, for one, am looking forward to book five! If you are new to the series, don't start here. Begin with book one and catch up, you'll enjoy the ride. If you have read read the others and are wondering if you should continue, this is the best one yet!

Although this fourth book in the series did not pull me in at the beginning like the others did, the characters were enough to carry me through the first chapters. During this first quarter I did put the book down several times. Fortunately the plot turned and I was able to finish the book quickly thereafter

Great Space Opera plus intrigue, mystery, and seemingly hopeless battle against an invincible enemy. Several plot lines interwoven make for fast-paced and can't-put-it-down interest for the reader.

Terrific read, will keep you on the edge of your feet!!

The characters and the storyline improved from the last book. The multiple stories in this book was nicely intertwined. If there is a next book I would like to see a little more depth and history of the characters. They are still a little two dimensional for a fourth book.

After getting 25% of the way through its seems like the previous books with attempted kidnappings and running off to find the doctor so the world could be saved. Finding it difficult to move forward in the book.

The story novels at a steady pace...the characters are well developed. I was disappointed that the author did not share Captain Maddox's mysterious history with us. It was easy to become engrossed in the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who dreams of what humanity might face in the future and pictures other worlds.
