I can usually overlook minor grammatical errors to a certain degree. However, the amount of run on sentences, missing punctuation, and word misuse was very distracting. This book definitely needs an editor.

Regal,Delectable and certainly most Desirable.
I can barely contain myself in how I can put my review into words and explain how brilliant this story is that I held in my hands and had the honour of reading.
Fresh exciting action packed!
The beautiful language spoken that whisked me off to a time when life was so different!
To revisit that historical time was so enchanting and had me thinking what it would like to be a lady in that era of prim and proper and manners that would speak for themselves and how hard it would have been to have no voice and considered precious and weak.
We meet Henri a beautiful lady from this historical time that is one of these women that has ended up in quite the predicament,Henri is beautiful and regal a true lady wanting the fairytale of love and a true gentleman to raise a family with and all the expectations required of women of that time.
But that would not be the path for Miss Henri in desperation she makes a plan to change her future and does what no good lady of her time should do should she be caught her reputation would surely be ruined and forever tarnished
Never to court a nice man and have what every lady should have.....Love.
Not all goes to plan for Miss Henri getting caught up in the midst of a gun fight with red coats!
It had her thinking her decision might not of been so wise, this was not the plan to be taken captive by a fierce dark frightening PIRATE!
He had the reputation that had preceded all the folk tales she had been told his name was known far and wide and held fear in the very men that hunted him and she was now in his presence.

And let me say that in that moment this story had stolen my breath away! Every word and discription given was perfectly moulded together you could see it playing out in your mind you're there back in that very era where you could feel the chill and the brisk cold that lingered in the air,you could hear the slapping of the water hitting the boat
the voices above the decks made you feel as if they were real and you were there listening to it all,I literally time travelled from our time to theirs and it felt real it felt exciting!
I wanted more of Miss Henri and this stoic pirate that exploded before my eyes.
This book for me was brilliant and was so poetically stunning that it lit a fire inside of me it's something I have not read before(Pirates) ,I believe anyone that's has the pleasure of reading this will feel the same.
It was nice to be swept away to a world we no longer live in and experience such pleasure from a story of action love and the high seas and the way of old times.

Action! Romance! What a fun read! Made me think of the film Romancing the Stone and thought ohhhh this needs to be made into a film. The character's were great. You have to love colorful Annie, her maid. You come to truly like the characters and root for them. There's drama - struggle for the characters that is cleverly done. My 5 Star for this is for novels of this genre -- romance, as in this category it's a romp and a great time. There is detailed sex, so if that is a problem for you, then this isn't the book for you. If you are fine with that or like it, then be warned it's steamy at times, so you may not want to read it in a public place as you may find yourself a little flush.

This is the type of story I want when I read romance 100%! I've now planned to read all of this author's series and look forward to them all eagerly.

Emma Leech has done an outstanding job with the new cross over between her two Book Series. The Rogue had me from the very first sentence. Emma has a way of writing that flows so easily, so as you follow Henri Morton through her encounter with this Pirate Captain Savage all the while trying to figure out how she can get out of an arranged marriage because of her father. The events that take place are so heart racing and exciting, you just have to read it to see who is actually who in this wonderfully written book. I can't wait to start on book two of the Series.

The story was interesting and so was the plot, but I only made it about 30% of the way in. The characters had just met and while Heni claimed she wanted to stay honorable, she decides to screw the guy? What? Come on. A little more build-up would have been nice. I mean literally anything

if you enjoy a fast paced rollicking story line you're in for a fun read with plenty of great supporting characters & romance to sigh for

I enjoyed this read. The heroine is pretty daring, but not out right stupid like the heroines you find in so many other historical romances. The hero and his brother also prove to be equal parts fearless and cunning. It's a good book.

A beautifully written historical piece highlighted by steamy romance and edge of your seat excitement. Like all of Emma's novels you are left with a growing admiration for her considerable writing talent and a love for her characters. You will not want to put this book down once you start. There is never a dull moment -- page after page, you are left wanting more. You'll be laughing alongside the characters and cheering them on. Don't miss out on an opportunity to fall in love with this novel.

Fun, lively story with a feisty, strong-willed heroine and swashbuckling pirate hero bound to please!! Some nice twists on the usual "pirate romance" that I especially enjoyed, and quirky secondary characters who are original and equally lovable. I loved the HEA ending.

I love historical romances that have very strong and willful heroines, Henrietta is definitely that--and add in a pirate or two--I'm in heaven! Henri refuses to marry the man that her father made a deal with. She was to be essentially bartered to pay off his (her father's debt). She has an unexpected encounter with a man while shopping--she helps him to escape the authorities. As he is rushing off he drops a letter. After reading it she has an idea--she will blackmail the pirate!! Well that didn't go exactly as planned----but not exactly as I thought it would--nor will you!! There are several twists of fate in this one.

Oh how I enjoyed reading this book and I think you will too!!!!!

My first time reading this author but not my lasts. I have already ordered the second book of the series. A wonderful intelligent pirate story. I could hardly put it down but it was to long for me to read in one sitting. I could hardly get to sleep for thinking about how they would get out of their mess. By the way the ending was exciting and very well written. The characters throughout the book were very well described and the charisma was great. I even enjoyed the second tier characters very much. This book had excitement, love, danger, steamy, fun and much more. I highly recommend this book. I love a good pirate story and this one was very good.

It has chemistry , romance, humor, suspense, and a little humor. I enjoyed reading and will read more of this authors work. I received this book as a gift and voluntarily give this review.

A most enjoyable pirate story set in the backdrop of Cornwall. Smuggling goodness ashore in Cornwall was big but dangerous business. This book has the added twist of romance. A very entertaining read.
