The first one in the series, one of the bookshots, wasn't written very well. I wouldn't have bought this but somehow it was on crazy discount and I was hoping it'd be better. Its not. Both books are predictable, neither are very creative, and there's some stuff that just flat out doesn't make sense. It seems they're trying to pump these books out so fast the quality is terrible and they're not even proofreading them.

I enjoyed reading this book. However, I agree with some other comments that it's not one of the best. I was also very disappointed in the ending. I wanted to hear about the trial of Harry's brother. Is there a sequel?

It was boring and personally you did not feel connected to the characters. The inclusion of the brother murder trial in the beginning only makes sense if there will be another book. disappointed that i paid for this book
4th of July (Women's Murder Club, No 4) :: The 8th Confession (Women's Murder Club) :: The Lost (Witch & Wizard) :: The 6th Target (Women's Murder Club) :: House of Robots

Way too much drama about Harry,s past and brother,s problems, which by the way, were not resolved during this book. It was very easy, early in the read, to figure out who the real bad guy was. Save your money.

Jane's Patterson always delivers. Fast moving and intense at times. I found the story and characters spellbinding. Australia is a credible backdrop for murder, intrigue, and suspense. It is a great read and listen.

Mine site setting is too far fetched to be believable. Having worked at a uranium mine and fly in fly out sites in Western Australia I found the premise completely unrealistic and insulting.
Plot is predictable. Really disappointed.

Definitely not a James Patterson written book. Very disappointing. I am finding this on a lot of books being published with his name as coauthor.
Never,Never was a novel about problems with a police officer in Australia, being transferred to interior Australia and having to deal with criminal
activities at a mining camp. Nothing like anything James Patterson had ever written before. Terrible ending........

I stopped reading Patterson awhile back. It became obvious he was renting his name to other authors for commercial reasons. What a shame! He had a great style, a great protagonist, and great stories. All good things must come to an end.

Over the centuries quite a few excellent authors can be identified. Likewise, many prolific authors are well known. However, there have been none who are as prolific and excellent as James Patterson. I confess that I read and enjoy everything he writes and publishes, so discount my opinion at your own discretion and risk. At one point I feared that the story was moving at a slow pace. (His suspense novels average 3.3 pages per chapter, a device for making the story seem to move even faster.) I was surprised to find that the average for this book was 2.91 pages per chapter. The seemingly slower pace a result, apparently, of the setting. However you view the story when you read it, the last 40 percent of the book, sets a furious pace, resembling Secretariat flying out of the final turn and into the home stretch at the Belmont. Another example of why his books are so enjoyable.

Even though this book makes one wonder, "Where is this going?" at the beginning, on in to the read, I was hooked! It is not colorful, but gripping! Blue, the main character, is someone one cannot keep pulling for to win!
