An emotional read about the super unlikely romance between a young widow and a confirmed bachelor. The twists and turns along with the ups and downs in their newfound “relationship” make it almost impossible to put the book down until you’ve finished it. Super characters, story, and writing. I’m looking forward to reading more stories in this series.
I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review.

This has been a joy to read, the connection between Violet and Ash was wonderful. The storyline was sad, sweet, funny, painful and lovely.

I enjoyed the writing style and all the different relationships; I will definitely be continuing with this series. My only negative was I wanted the story to continue past the last page!

I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an ARC.

Strong characters and a great story line. You will love reading Violet and Ash's story. Ash gives up on relationships as he watched his parents love affair. Violet is a widow now committed to her business and new life. Plus who is the only woman to not give Ash the time of day or fall under his charms as others before. Has he just found it as a new challenge in life or let feelings grow with just one kiss.

A wonderful story about Violet a 34 year old widow and a younger 27 year old Ash who find on another when they needed each other the most. Still grieving from the loss of her husband 2 years ago and guilt ridden from their last words Violet has been going through the motions but not really living, put into Ash's path on a singles night these two find what they need most may be each other.

I loved this story. It focused on forgiving yourself. These people were at the point where they would rather feel guilty than be happy. Violet feels guilty over everything. Ash feels guilty that he doesn't feel guilty over anything. Both helped each other find a happy medium with a beautiful HEA.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A love story full of emotion, grief built and moving on.
Ash is a playboy that wants no attatchments, only one night stands, he's not used to being turned down.
Violet is a slightly older widow still mourning the loss of her husband two years ago, she's full of grief and guilt.
Can she move on and learn to love again.

I absolutely loved this book! This is a beautiful love story between Violet and Ash. Both have their own baggage when they kick off. Ash doesn't believe in love before Violet, but his heart had a mind of its own. Violet lost her husband and was to scared to love again. This is a great book and I highly recommend this book!

I enjoyed this story except for the explicit sex scenes that I do not care for?. But I feel in love with Violet and Ash with their brokenness. We all have pasts that influence who we are and how we react to events in our daily lives. I look forward to reading more about them and the Younger siblings. I received a free copy of this book and chose to write a review.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. The story is a good romance read. The book is a sweet but sexy story of a widow who finds a second chance at love. The character are well written and the story line is exciting. The book has some mystery in the story but the bigger story line is of how to find love after someone spouse dies is the one more interesting one.

There were a lot of tears in this book and I found myself hovering between sharing tears with the characters and growling at them to 'stop being so stubborn and get over themselves'. I did enjoy this story, Ash was just gorgeous, and I'm looking forward to Thea's story.

I was excited for this latest series from Iris, and I was not disappointed. She continues to deliver believable stories with realistic characters. Ash and Violet are no exception. Probably some of the deepest characters yet in what might be my new favorite. Their conflicts and troubles are super relatable and the story is compelling and sexy!

I received an advanced free copy for my honest review through ARC program. Violet is a young widow afraid to love again... Ash is the playboy not wanting to settle down. I loved both characters.... they weren't overly "stereotypes"... just both very likeable and you wanted to see them push through their walls and be together.

I read for a honest review for hiddengems. Violet is still morning the death of her husband when her MIL urges her to get out and have some fun, where she meets Ash.I liked these characters right away, they just clicked together, but Violet still doesn't want a relationship with Ash,because of his past relationships with women.

When cynical Ash, who does not believe in love, forms a connection with Violet, who is a widow Struggling with the death of her husband, things start to change. As he tries to help pilot and secrets come to light, he begins to question his anti-love stance. Sweet realistic story with a great HEA.

Violet, darlin’,
I am so glad you figured out that you’re not old.
Ash is a very patient man, I think.
Meanwhile, both of you made me laugh…
And cry a little…
And dream.

Second chances? Check.
HEA? Check.
Bottom line: Great beginning to a new series. 4 stars.

Violet Fielding moved to Fair Haven, Washington to help her mother in law of her deceased husband. It has been two years since he was killed in a car crash and she has not gone out with anyone. Her mother in law encourages her to go to a singles event at the Fainting Goat. She meets Ash Younger who is a known player in town, but she doesn’t fall for his lines. This makes Ash more interested in her.

I loved that this first book continues in the same town from the Thornton’s series. It is always fun to see players fall in love and what they go through. Ash had made fun of his older brother Trent when he got together with Lizzie Thornton. Now Ash is getting pay back. Poor Violet is having problems with her jewelry business that was a problem between her deceased husband and her. It is so funny how men always want to solve problems without talking to a women. Women do not always want their problems solved, especially when they are stubborn! I loved this romance story and can’t wait until the next one. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.

Then Came You by Iris Morland. A story about Violet, who moved to Fair Haven to live and take care of her mother-in-law, Martha. Violet's husband was killed in a car accident two years ago. She made beautiful jewelry but spent all her time at home. Martha suggested she go to a single's meeting at the Fainting Goat. That was where she saw, and was instantly attracted to Ash. It turns out he was there for his niece's second birthday party. He saw her looking at him and he went to talk to her. They got along great and went on a date. They both were dealing with commitment issues as she didn't want to betray her deceased husband and Ash didn't want any kind of commitment due to how his parents treated each other. Watching their love develop, as well as, him helping her get her accounts in order kept me reading to find their HEA. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I absolutely loved this story. It's sweet and romantic, but also very, very sexy. Ash and Violet both have pasts that make a new relationship difficult - his parents marriage and her loss of her husband. But when they meet in a bar, neither can deny the sparks that fly. I can't wait to dive into the rest of the series and meet the rest of the Youngers!
I receiced an advanced reader copy of this book for free, in exchange for my honest review.

Contemporary romance continuing with the Younger family interwoven with bits of the Thorntons.
Ash Younger spies Violet Fielding at their restaurant/bar and is intrigued.
Violet is trying desperately to hang on to her jewelry design business.
Several little surprises turn her already shaky world upside down, but Ash turns out to be the force that rights her world.
Well told and woven into the Thorntons
