An exciting thriller of a young girl running away from a sexually abusive step-father into the hands of an organized group that looks for young girls like Isabel. Who appear to want to help her but are no better and want to sell her body to men. Make her their slave by the use of drugs and fear.
I found it hard to put this book down I enjoyed it so much.
I would recommend this book to anyone, especially teenage girls and mothers, this book was a reality check for us all because this is happening in our community.

An abominable crime against the most innocent of victims, comes a little too close to home for Danny Logan who runs a Seattle based professional investigation business with Antoinette "Toni" Blair. While dealing with forced slavery of children there are yet again more roadblocks and delays to their romance, albeit, some road blocks are only in Logan's head.

As the team of specialists (Logan and Blair, with the firm's tech guru Kenny questioning his own relationships with a parade of young girlfriends and the stoic "Doc") interview a gang's victim who is pulled to safety, sort through records and put a toe across the line as they learn more than anyone would want to know about the crime of human trafficking. From a mother's admission of being blinded by denial, the team builds a case through good old fashioned surveillance and break through the red tape of various enforcement agencies with the help of a few well placed friends. With time running out, the Toni is torn from her shield of a stoic hard core persona, as her sister is swept up by the gang's hierarchy and put in peril, by her own desire to "help." And now, they have two people to rescue as the clock counts down.

For those who like a PI story with personality, the story is straightforward with more action than introspection, explanation over exploration, and just enough rationalizing by Danny to explain away any doubt we might have about his decisions. While the story only provides a snowflake on the tip of an iceberg as a peek at the problem, people need to realize that slavery is alive and well in the U.S. And that's what this is "slavery". You can nuance it in different terms, but it's slavery. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, human trafficking has become the second fastest growing criminal industry -- just behind drug trafficking -- with children accounting for roughly half of all victims. And those are only the ones we know of. Too often, authorities say, victims stay silent out of fear, so no one knows they exist.

I love to read and finish multiple books a month. This book is about human trafficking but really touched my heart and makes you care about the characters. If you want a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat while really enjoying the characters this is that book!

As usual, there were many twists to keep you reading and trying to second guess Mr. Grayson.
As a reader of the first two books, I found the recapping of much of the background information caused me to skip over some of the text. "Just Saying".

As usual, twists and turns, unexpected problems, and just good old fashioned research to provide another great book..
Now if only I had another of his books to read.. Are you working on another??? I sure hope so.

Great mystery while engaged with different character stories. Loved that it even dealt with a sordid topic without details or throwing in gratuitous sex scenes, etc.

Looking forward to more from this author.
